Rohan had just moved with his family into an old house at the edge of the village. The house was large, dusty, and strangely quiet. The villagers often looked at the house with fear, but no one explained why.
One night, while exploring the house, Rohan noticed something strange at the end of the hallway. There was a small wooden door. It was different from the others—older, darker, and locked with a rusty chain.
"Don't open that room," his grandmother suddenly said behind him.
Rohan jumped."Why?" he asked.
She paused for a moment and whispered, "Because some doors should never be opened."
But curiosity is a dangerous thing.
That night, around 2 AM, Rohan woke up suddenly. He heard something.
Scratch… scratch… scratch…
The sound was coming from the locked room.
He slowly walked into the hallway. The house felt colder than before. The chain on the door was shaking slightly as if something inside was trying to come out.
Then he heard a whisper.
"Rooohannn…"
His heart started beating fast.
"Who's there?" he asked nervously.
The whisper came again, this time louder.
"Open the door…"
Rohan ran back to his room, locking the door behind him. But before he could sleep again, he heard something else.
Footsteps.
Slow footsteps… in the hallway.
But everyone in the house was asleep....
