Jay Jay's pov
I froze on top of my wardrobe, still holding my coffee like an Olympic torch.
I slowly turned toward the door.
And there they were.
Percy.
Clapping like he just watched a Broadway performance.
And Aries.
Standing beside him with the most disgusted face I have ever seen in my entire existence.
"What are you two doing here?" I asked, still elevated like a mountain goat.
"I came to return this monkey." Aries said, jerking his thumb toward Percy, "but it seems like no normal people live in this room."
His face still looked personally offended.
"Aries baby, you're hurting me," Percy said dramatically, placing a hand over his chest. "And my baby sistah is not abnormal."
At least he said one correct thing.
Obviously, I am not abnormal.
I am extraordinary.
"Why are you on top of the wardrobe?" Aries asked irritatingly.
I looked down at them.
Then at my coffee.
Then back at them.
"I was accepting an award."
"For what?" Aries asked.
"For Best Coffee of the Year."
Percy gasped dramatically. "You made coffee?"
"Yeah."
Aries narrowed his eyes. "Did the kitchen survive?"
"...Mostly."
Percy suddenly rushed forward. "Let me taste it."
"NO" I jumped down quickly, almost slipping again. "It is limited edition."
Percy snatched the cup anyway and took a confident sip.
We waited.
Three seconds.
Two seconds.
His face changed.
From confidence.
To confusion.
To betrayal.
"Why," Percy said slowly, staring into the cup like it betrayed his ancestors "does this taste like you mixed one kilo of sugar in this coffee?"
"You're underestimating my masterpiece," I snapped. "Give it back."
He held it out.
I reached.
It slipped.
Time slowed.
The mug fell.
Crack.
Shatter.
Dead.
Silence.
I looked at the floor.
My coffee.
My award-winning.
My Nobel Prize nominee.
Gone.
I couldn't even take four proper sips.
It was still so young.
I jumped off the bed dramatically and crouched near the shattered pieces.
"Percy," I said quietly, staring at the brown puddle spreading across the tiles, "you destroyed my coffee."
"Hey! It was not my fault!" he protested. "I was returning it!"
"It slipped from your betrayal hands," I corrected.
"It slipped from YOUR hand!"
"It died because of you."
"I didn't do anything!"
"You did."
"I didn't."
"You did."
"Stooooop," Aries whisper-yelled, looking toward the hallway like Kuya Angelo might teleport in with a slipper. "It's night. If Angelo sees this circus, we're all dead. Stop fighting like kindergarten kids."
I sniffed dramatically.
"My coffee had dreams."
Percy looked personally offended. "It tasted like diabetes."
"THAT WAS PASSION."

After sometime of fighting we were finally in the kitchen making coffee and obviously I won.
Percy and Aries were making coffee like it was a national science experiment.
"Add precisely two spoons," Aries said seriously.
Percy squinted at the cup. "What if I add three for diabetics balance?"
"That's not how science works."
"It is in my lab."
I rolled my eyes and checked my phone.

Suddenly
THUD.
Aries hit my head lightly.
"Are you going to stand there or are you coming?"
He walked out.
Percy had already disappeared.
My eyes widened.
MY SNACKS.
I ran upstairs.
I opened my door
And there he was.
The monkey.
Eating my chips.
Just like a monkey.
"PERCY," I gasped. "Give my chips."
he jumped on the bed and hold my chips packet like a real jungle monkey protecting banana.
"Stay away!"
"Give. Me. My. Chips."
"There are more downstairs!"
"Those are backup snacks!"
"Percy!" I lunged.
He dodged.
Aries walked in slowly, looked at both of us, and sighed deeply.
"Do you two know how you look right now?"
"Handsome," Percy said confidently.
"Beautiful," I added.
Aries shook his head and held up his phone.
"No. This is how you two look."
He showed us a picture :
Two monkey fighting.
We looked at the photo.
Then at each other.
Then back at Aries.
And then
"YOU CALLING ME THAT?!" Percy shouted.
"You showed it!" I attacked Aries.
In two seconds, all three of us were wrestling on the bed.
Pillows flying.
Chips everywhere.
Someone stepped on my notebook.
Someone almost fell.
"STOP PULLING MY HAIR!"
"THAT'S MY ARM!"
"WHO THREW THE PILLOW?!"
After fighting for too long, the three of us ended up on the floor in a messy circle.
Snacks in the middle.
Percy and Aries eating like refugees.
Me?
Sitting between them.
Giving death glare.
Because THEY WERE EATING MY SNACKS.
My phone buzzed again.

With an irritated face, I threw my phone beside me and grabbed more chips.
Percy and Aries were staring at me like I was a documentary.
"What?" I asked. "I know I'm beautiful."
Suddenly
Aries grabbed my phone.
Percy leaned in like it was breaking news.
"WHAT are you two doing?" I tried to snatch it back, but they were annoyingly fast.
They opened my phone.
No lock.
Because I have trust issues with technology.
Keifer's chat was right there.
They both looked at me slowly.
"Why," Aries said dangerously calm, "is he calling you wifey?"
"I don't know," I said quickly.
He stared harder.
Percy spoke up, very serious. "Jay... you need to see a doctor."
"Why?!" I asked, offended.
"Your texts," they said in unison.
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY TEXTS?"
"You're speaking in encrypted monkey language,how he even understand your texts." Aries said.
"It's aesthetic."
"It's concerning."
We were still arguing about my texting style when Percy's phone buzzed.
He answered.
Felix's face appeared on screen.
["Kuya,"] Felix said ["Dalia is not sleeping. She wants to talk to you."]
"Give her the phone" Percy said immediately.
The screen shifted.
Dalia's tiny face appeared.
["Kuyaaaaaaa!"] she said happily.
"Baby sistahhhhh," Percy replied dramatically. "Why aren't you sleeping?"
["Kuya Felix is disturbing me. He is not good,"] she said, making an exaggerated baby face.
From somewhere off-screen, we heard Felix protest, ["Hey!"]
Percy softened instantly. "Dalia baby, I'll come tomorrow, okay? I'll bring chocolates too. Sleep now."
Even though he's a monkey, he's caring. He always makes us laugh with his silly antics. Thank you, God, for giving me this horoscope and monkey brother.
["Okay, kuya... but where are you?"]
"I'm at Ate Jay's house, baby."
Her eyes widened.
["Really? I want to talk to her!"]
Percy handed me the phone.
"Hi, Dalia," I said softly.
["Hiii, Ate Jay! You said you will visit soon but you didn't."]
My heart squeezed a little.
"I'm sorry, Dalia. I promise I'll visit you soon. Very soon."

In the quiet of the night, the three monkeys lay asleep, their bodies finally at rest. The chaos they had created earlier had completely faded, leaving behind no sound, no movement only silence. If someone had walked in at that moment, they would never guess that a fight had once shaken the room.
The room itself, however, told a different story. Rumpled sheets, scattered belongings, and faint traces of disorder whispered of the storm that had passed. Now, all of it stood still, frozen in time.
They slept deeply, breathing slow and even, as though the night had claimed them fully. It was the kind of sleep that comes after exhaustion, heavy and endless, where the world feels distant and morning seems unreal.
And somehow making siblings bond.
Next morning
Jay Jay's pov
Last night, we didn't even realize when sleep attacked us.
One minute we were talking.
Next minute?
Darkness.
And in the morning
I woke up squished.
Between Horoscope.
And Monkey.
Aries was half off the bed, one arm over his face like a tragic hero. Percy was snoring softly like he paid rent there.
How did this even happen?
I stared at the ceiling.
This is my life.
After breakfast, Percy finally left for his house. Aries and I went to school like normal civilians pretending we didn't have chaotic nights.
When we reached school, I walked toward the classroom and when I was near the door
And suddenly someone grabbed my wrist.
I almost screamed.
It was Keifer.
I hit his arm. "Are you out of your mind?"
"Yes," he said calmly. "Only for you."
I rolled my eyes. "Leave me. I need to go to class."
He gently pulled me toward the left wall near the classroom.
"Profanity," he said seriously.
"What profanity? I didn't use any profanity."
"You forgot already? Fine. Let me remind you," he said, leaning closer.
My heart betrayed me by beating faster.
"Last night, you used profanity."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes. And now," he whispered, stepping closer, "let me have my kiss."
He leaned in.
Our faces inches apart.
My brain stopped functioning.
Then
THUD.
A loud noise came from inside the classroom.
We both froze.
Keifer buried his face lightly against my neck in frustration. "They don't even let me have my kiss peacefully," he muttered.
I tried not to laugh.
"Now let go and see what happened," I said.
"Wait," he said softly.
And before I could react
He pressed a quick kiss against my neck.
