She was a cat lover.
Cats are her best friends in the whole world and would take care of them constantly.
She never thought she will meet another cat lover like her until she met Jiwoo.
She met Jiwoo while feeding some cats on the way home.
Jiwoo tries to be friendly but she would disappear or flee when he tries to talk, because she doesn't know how to talk to other people other than cats.
She acted invisible in class and would constantly get treated like a ghost or invisible.
But Jiwoo didn't, he noticed you everytime and would help you kindly.
He was kind and nice to you and would give cat tips you already knew about but you kept listening.
Day by day, you would get closer to him and listen to him talk about and show some cat photos.
Making you smile.
"Why are you so nice to me?" You asked one day in a soft tone.
Jiwoo answered with a smile "because we're classmates right?"
That made her widen her eyes, did he meant friends? She chuckles.
From that day on, classmates became close friends as they do routine again and again with the cats.
Everything was she noticed the changes in her friends behavior.
Jiwoo became more focused on something that eventually she observed and realized he's changing.
She wishes too to change, to become more braver and bolder like he does.
One day, while feeding some cats alone, she saw Jiwoo walking with an orange fat cat.
"Oh hey y/n, long time no see"
"Hey Jiwoo" she mutters.
She didn't know what to say next. She looked at the orange fat cat and complimented.
"That's... a nice cat"
"Thanks, I uhm, adopted him from the shelter"
"I see"
She hesitated before patting the cat but it moved away. Jiwoo apologizes and went on his way with the cat.
Time by time at the end of the day after class, I would meet him feeding cats or jogging around the neighborhood, it was nice seeing him like that but it feels lonely.
One day, I was chosen to take care of his house while he was away and so I did.
Everytime his away, I would take care of his cats at home and live there to easily access his home but one day, random people in suits came in and didn't noticed I was there, holding a pan up above their heads, I hesitated before realizing they're feeding the cats.
"Uhmmm"
They then turn and finally noticed me, making them jump.
"Who are you girl?"
I'm the caretaker of this house" I mumbled and they didn't believe me until I got called and made Jiwoo confirmed that I was the caretaker.
They looked at me one last time before leaving.
I thought it won't get any crazier until Jiwoo came back from the hospital along with wooin, one of our classmates and supposedly his friend now.
" Jiwoo"
" Y/n, thanks for taking care of my cats"
" It's no problem"
I smiled, reassuring it's fine before I shyly nod at wooin as a greeting.
Then came in a guy named jisuk, sir inhyuk and sir seongha.
Sir inhyuk came forward to me and looked at me before speaking.
"You must be y/n?"
"Uhm yes, is there something wrong?"
"I would like to talk to you about your awakened powers"
"Awakened what?"
They suddenly all looked at me like I'm a freak with shocked faces.
"You mean you don't know you're a awakened?"
"What's that?"
As I asked that and they started looking at me weird. That's when I looked and saw my hands glitching like it was about to turn into invisible.
"What's going on?" I panicked.
Sir inhyuk calmed me down before explaining.
Turns out I'm an awakened with the powers of invisibility.
