The storm arrived before midnight.
Thunder rolled across the mountains while rain pounded the valley.
Inside the sanctuary chamber Lena stood before the glowing altar again.
The runes were brighter tonight.
Her power pulsed in response.
Kael stood beside her.
"Something's changing," Lena whispered.
The stone altar suddenly flared with silver light.
A symbol appeared across the surface.
Eira stepped forward quickly.
"The prophecy is reacting."
The symbol shifted.
Then another image appeared.
A dark figure rising from the ruins of an ancient temple.
Lena gasped.
"Who is that?"
Eira's voice trembled slightly.
"That isn't Selene."
Kael frowned.
"Then who?"
The glowing image sharpened.
A pair of glowing red eyes opened within the vision.
Eira whispered one word.
"Malakar."
Lena looked at her.
"Who is Malakar?"
Eira's expression turned grave.
"The enemy the Moonborn was created to stop."
Lightning cracked outside the chamber.
