Chapter 3
Rajveer and Meera had been walking through the dense jungle for a long time. The sunlight was slowly fading behind the tall trees, and the sounds of birds and insects filled the air.
Suddenly Meera stopped.
"Rajveer… listen."
Rajveer paused and focused. In the distance he could hear something.
It sounded like flowing water.
"Do you hear that?" Meera asked excitedly.
Rajveer nodded.
"That sounds like a waterfall."
Both of them followed the sound through the trees. The deeper they went into the jungle, the louder the sound became.
Finally, the trees opened up… and they saw it.
A beautiful waterfall flowing down from a high rock.
Crystal-clear water fell into a small natural pool below. The sunlight hitting the falling water created tiny rainbow reflections.
Meera's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Wow… this place is beautiful!"
Rajveer smiled.
"Yes… it looks like paradise."
Meera walked closer to the water and touched it.
"It's so cold!"
Rajveer laughed.
"That means it's perfect for swimming."
Meera looked at him with a mischievous smile.
"Race you to the water!"
Before Rajveer could reply, Meera ran and jumped into the pool with a splash.
Rajveer shook his head.
"You really are impossible."
He jumped into the water too.
The water was fresh and cool.
Both of them started splashing water at each other.
"Hey!" Meera laughed.
"Stop it!"
Rajveer splashed again.
"Never."
Meera tried to splash him back but slipped slightly.
Rajveer quickly held her arm so she wouldn't fall.
For a moment they looked into each other's eyes.
There was a strange feeling between them.
But Meera quickly looked away.
"Don't think I needed help," she said playfully.
Rajveer smirked.
"Of course you didn't."
They spent some time enjoying the water.
Eventually they climbed out of the pool and sat on a rock near the waterfall.
Meera stretched and sighed.
"Now I'm really hungry."
Rajveer held his stomach.
"Same here."
They started searching the nearby area for food.
Soon they found wild fruits growing on trees.
Meera smiled happily.
"Looks like dinner is ready."
Rajveer picked some fruits.
"Not bad for jungle life."
Suddenly the bushes nearby moved.
Meera jumped back.
"What was that?!"
Rajveer looked carefully.
A small deer stepped out.
The deer looked at them for a few seconds… then ran back into the forest.
Meera laughed.
"I thought it was a dangerous animal."
Rajveer said calmly,
"In the jungle, not every sound is danger."
After collecting fruits they returned to the river.
Rajveer looked into the water.
"Maybe we can catch fish too."
Meera raised an eyebrow.
"You can catch fish?"
Rajveer picked up a long stick and sharpened its tip.
"We'll find out."
He slowly stepped into the water.
After a few minutes he quickly thrust the stick down.
And amazingly…
He caught a small fish.
Meera clapped happily.
"Wow! Jungle hero!"
Rajveer laughed.
"Don't praise me too much."
Meera teased him.
"Fine… then I'll throw the fish back."
Rajveer quickly said,
"No no!"
Both burst into laughter.
They built a small fire using stones and dry wood.
Meera cleaned the fish while Rajveer prepared the fire.
Soon the fish was cooking.
Smoke entered Meera's eyes.
"Ow!"
She closed her eyes.
Rajveer quickly moved closer.
"Wait… let me handle it."
Meera shook her head.
"No… I want to learn."
Together they cooked the fish while teasing each other.
After some time the food was ready.
They sat beside the waterfall and ate together.
The sound of water and cool wind made the moment peaceful.
After eating, Meera looked at her clothes.
"The sea water earlier made our clothes salty."
Rajveer said,
"Then wash them."
Meera frowned.
"But I don't have extra clothes."
Rajveer thought for a moment.
Then he went into the jungle and returned with large leaves and colorful flowers.
Meera looked confused.
"What are you doing?"
Rajveer smiled.
"Just watch."
Together they created a dress made from leaves and flowers.
When Meera wore it, she looked different… almost magical.
Rajveer stared at her for a moment.
Meera noticed.
"What?"
Rajveer smiled softly.
"Nothing… you just look like the queen of the jungle."
Meera blushed.
While Meera washed the clothes, Rajveer worked on something else.
Using tree branches and vines, he created a beautiful swing decorated with flowers.
When Meera returned, she gasped.
"Wow! This is amazing!"
They sat together on the swing.
It moved gently with the wind.
The jungle breeze was cool and calming.
For a few quiet moments, neither of them spoke.
Something was slowly growing between them.
But they still didn't know what dangers the jungle was hiding.
As evening approached, Rajveer said,
"We should build a shelter before night."
They gathered branches and large leaves.
Together they built a small jungle shelter near a big rock.
It wasn't perfect, but it would protect them for the night.
Meera smiled proudly.
"We actually built a house."
Rajveer laughed.
"Our first jungle house."
Meera joked,
"And the king of this jungle house is Rajveer."
Rajveer replied,
"Then you're the jungle queen."
Suddenly dark clouds gathered in the sky.
Within minutes, rain started falling.
They quickly moved inside their shelter.
Rain drops hit the leaves above them, creating a soothing sound.
Meera watched the rain outside.
"It's beautiful."
Rajveer nodded.
"Good thing we built the shelter."
Cold wind started blowing.
Meera shivered slightly.
Rajveer noticed.
"You can sit closer if you want… it's warmer."
Meera hesitated… then sat beside him.
They were very close now.
Both of their hearts were beating faster.
For a moment it felt like time had stopped.
But suddenly—
The bushes outside moved violently.
Both of them became alert.
Rajveer stepped outside carefully.
Meera stood behind him.
From the bushes emerged a long black snake.
It hissed loudly.
Meera stepped back in fear.
"Rajveer…"
Rajveer grabbed a stick.
"Stay behind me."
But suddenly something strange happened.
Meera's hands started glowing with a soft green light.
She didn't understand what was happening.
As she stepped forward in fear…
A strong wind suddenly moved through the trees.
Leaves started shaking violently.
The snake froze.
Then slowly… it turned and disappeared into the jungle.
Rajveer stared at Meera in shock.
"What… just happened?"
Meera looked confused.
"I… don't know."
The jungle became silent again.
But now a new mystery had begun.
Did Meera really have jungle powers?
And where did those powers come from?
What they didn't know…
Was that deep in the darkness of the jungle…
Someone was watching them.
Two glowing eyes appeared in the shadows.
And a mysterious voice whispered—
"Finally… the power of the jungle has awakened."
