Chapter 70 - Season 2 Finale: Legacy

One year after the Ibwa's defeat.

Two years after the viral video.

Three years since Glad stopped hiding.

The community gathered in Anino Garden for the annual Remembrance Day—honoring those lost, celebrating those saved, recommitting to the dream they'd built together.

Glad stood at the podium, looking out at the crowd.

Creatures of every species. Humans of every background. Children—human and creature—playing together without fear.

"Three years ago," she began, "I was hiding in my apartment, terrified of being discovered. Today, I'm standing in front of thousands of beings who've chosen to live openly, proudly, together."

Applause.

"We've faced challenges—an ancient enemy, a corrupt politician, fear and doubt and chaos. But we've faced them together. And we've won."

More applause.

"Today, I want to announce something new. The Anino Foundation—dedicated to helping creature communities worldwide. We'll provide resources, expertise, and support to any group wanting to follow our path."

Gasps. Cheers. Cries of joy.

"We're not just Dumaguete anymore. We're a movement. A family. A future."

After the ceremony, Glad slipped away to Anino's statue.

"Hey, Dad. Big day."

A warm breeze.

"We're doing it. What you always wanted. Building something lasting."

The breeze swirled around her.

"I miss you. Every day."

A leaf landed on her shoulder—soft, gentle, like a touch.

"Thanks for watching over me. For fifty years of protection. For giving me the courage to be who I am."

She touched the statue's base.

"I love you, Dad. Always will."

The breeze lingered.

Then faded.

Not gone.

Just... peaceful.

Glad smiled.

Ariel found her there, taking her hand.

"Ready to go home?"

"Yeah." She looked back at the statue one last time. "I'm ready."

They walked toward the community center, toward their family, toward their future.

Behind them, the garden glowed in the sunset.

And somewhere, a cat purred.
