Weaks has gone by as Whirl herself has experienced the UA sports festival where she excels as for the second year students. Though it was the first year student first and they saw everything from the race, cavalry battle, and tournament where they witnessed the winner of the tournament, though was in restraints when he was given a medal. Then when it came for the second year students it went the same as well but with different game, though Whirl had to participate less as to not be noticed by the cameras, but had to when showing her skills that she does belong to class 2a as she defeated many students from general studies as it seemed that the sports festival was an opportunity for everyone to show their worth including the students who are not from the hero course classes.
Then one day after a whole lot of notes were taken,assignments that were handed in and tests that were finished in class 2a. Hayami then brought out the mid term rankings for everyone in class 2a as they all felt nervous, but Hayami was impressed by everyone as the student who was at the bottom the last time didn't make the same mistake like last time, such as Astral balancing her time with studying and her photography. But as for the ranking despite everyone doing well he only picked out three who did the best out of everyone. Starting from the bottom of the top ten students who did the best was Senda as he has done to most average out of everyone but still did his best when he needed to be despite having to be distracted by his sister. Then in front of him was Uni who may have done better than Senda and everyone behind there were more students who had done better than her. Next was Poller as despite his big size he is still a smart student, Uni was shocked to see her best friend suddenly surpassing her in exams and tests as he laughed off with a gentle nod. Next was Aoi as she performed well and was able to improve with some study sessions with Whirl as they sometimes do when Aoi offered Whirl to some to her place and brought some of the others there as well occasionally. Next is Kuroda, still quiet as ever as he is still doing his best with his work, though as he looks out the window as Mizuno and Flare still blushed, being glad Kuroda is still going his best. Then onto the five students who have done their greatest out of everyone starting with Goshi despite having a known reputation in class 2a, there were still many others who had done better than him with writing tests or exams. Next is surprisingly Reiko as she is one of the smartest in class 2a but somehow there are three who surpass her. Euro was up next as being third who ranked highest in the mid term ranking as expected for someone who lived somewhere with heroes in the family. But then it came down to two rankings who did the best as Mizuno kept calm as she felt confident trying to keep her number one ranking, but then Mizuno was ranked second, she was shocked that there was someone in the class who ranked higher than her. Then for the one who did the best and ranked number one in the mid term ranking of class 2a was Whirl she ranked the best as her test scores were high grade through and through with scores higher than ninety five and above.
When Hayami was finished he had to go out to grab something for the class. When he left the class Mizuno was shocked as she looked at Whirl who beat her, while Whirl herself didn't look surprised. Her expression was calm and kept a good posture while waiting for Hayami, but Mizuno felt frustrated that Whirl managed to achieve higher than her as she swayed the thought of Kuorda for now and approached Whirl.
"Whirl I need to ask you something"
"You seemed agitated, you may asked Mizuno"
Mizuno's eyebrow suddenly twitched "Whirl since you got here you've been a really good help, but how did you manage to score higher than me?"
Whirl looked at Mizuno's frustrated yet an expression to understand "I see you are wondering how I was able to surpass you, it was simply to study and accumulate a source of preparation for events such as this"
Mizuno sighed "I know that, the question is how you do it, who did you study with, or your notes"
Whirl nodded "a good question, to put it simply I join study sessions with Aoi at her place, and sometimes Senda and Ayamato came to also study with us"
Aoi and Senda walked to them "that is true, you should have seen Whirl, at my place she was a study machine and would not rest till like two in the morning"
Mizuno's eyes widened as she looked back at Whirl as she sighed "that is true when we study everyone but me go to sleep earlier than I do"
Hino then scratches his neck and wonders "you know, now that you mentioned it, Whirl you don't look tired, how did you study almost all night and come to school like you're never tired?"
Whirl looked at her note "it's simple really, I mentioned that my father trained me, and discipline was huge on me as such my body is heavily trained to not show a strain of fatigue."
The words flew the four of them a bit awkwardly as they thought about Goshi's discipline training as they thought his was also similar to Whirl's training.
But Mizuno gritted her teeth and looked at Whirl "alright Whirl since you're going to be the best, then I'm going to try harder and surpass you" Whirl can see that Mizuno's expression has changed that was thought to be jealousy and frustration. But had suddenly changed Mizuno's expression to be more encouraged and motivated to surpass Whirl. It seemed her influence with her work gave the others to challenge her skills in learning and note taking through the rest of the school year.
