When the first day of school in the U.A started one by one nineteen students filled in the class as each looked unique to one another despite wearing the same uniform. However they seemed to be missing as they waited for the last student to arrive, but a minute had passed and the last student hadn't arrived. But then the door opened showing a man weaning a for-fitting, aerodynamic jumpsuit made from a lightweight, reinforced material to reduce drag during high-speed movement. The suit has subtle wave-like patterns that shimmer when moving. With their gloves being sleek and flexible, and the boots with grip-enhancing soles, as the rest around his body looked armoured and he wore a streamlined half-mask covering his eyes and wore a cape. He walked towards the teachers desk as his name was on it 'Hayami Quick' the students realized that it was their teacher and not the missing student. Hayami then walked to the main desk facing everyone and introduced himself "hello everyone, I am Hayami Quick and I am your homeroom teacher for the rest of your school year and you all may call me Hayami sensei" they all greeted him as they called him sensei Hayami. "Okay, now since you are all here, I want each of you to go one by one and introduce yourself to everyone, your name, your quirk, and why you're here."
Hayami then walked off the podium as he chose who to go first.
First was a girl with brown tied hair and walked to the podium as she show some subtle hints of pollen and was happy "hello I am Hanabria Aoi, my quirk is Pollen Bloom I can produce different types of pollen based on my mood, most of my pollen that is produce causes a bit of calmness making them relax it happens when I am happy or serious sometimes, but I am always happy" Aoi smiled "as for why I'm here it is to do rescue people of course as I can use my pollen to make others relaxed.
Hayami nodded and chose the next person to do up. A male student who wore a bandana with some strands of purple hair down and with a confident smile walked to the podium. "The names, Senda Kaito, and my quirk is compression foam. From my arms I can shoot out an expanding foam and when given time it will harden. I am expecting to be a shield type hero protecting others"
The next was a female student adjusting her black tied hair as her eyes colour were a bright black and had a red dot in the center of both eyes, "my name is Mizuno Rei, my quirk is vector sight, I can see where an item or person is going to make their move, it can also assist where I want to throw or letting the others know where to aim. I was inspired by my cousin here, but I don't want speak about him"
Next was a male student though hesitant to walk up to the podium as he spoke quietly and nervous "um-hello, I am Shin Kuroda, my quirk is um-static bind, I can touch things with my hands, and… it can either immobilize anything from objects and people, that is all" when he finishes two female students secretly blushed after hearing his cute voice Kuroda didn't noticed and walked away back to the corner wanting to stay quiet.
Next is a male student with a solid metallic hammer for a head being a bright slick dark black colour. "It's Hamour Staik and my quirk is hammer, what you are seeing is my head and when I slam it to the ground I can create large show waves depending on how hard I slam." but he points to the back showing the claws "as for those behind my head it sometimes hard to use these."
Next is a very excited female student who wasted no time and uses her slinky legs to stretch to the podium and quickly fixes her messy purple and yellow neon hair and for looking at them all and adjust her bandaged on the lower right of her cheek "heya there I'm Uni Junx, and my quirk is slinky, my limbs, neck, and sometimes torso are of course slinkies I can extend and reach far, but I can also become, a spring."
Next is a tall male student with a burning bright coloured hair and walked with a confident grin and slammed his hands onto the base of the podium. "My name is Blaze Caine, and I love to workout as my body heat quirk allows me to do that, making my body heat up as from the calories I eat, I am also very durable when I am in my burning state."
Then a female student with a long cool sky blue hair walks to the front as her breath suddenly made fog as her glacier icicle earrings shimmered "hello I am Flare Rostica and my quirk is frost sculptures, it allows me to generate ice in any shape in my work such as pillars, walls, or status, and depending on the weather I get stronger. I have to become a great artist one day"
Next is another female student as she was holding a camera and adjusting her medium stylized black hair and showing her star-shaped pupils, as some of them actually recognize her work from magazines of other pro heroes and celebrities or articles. "Hello I am Astral X, my quirk is star shot, I can fire shards of bright glass at my opponent, but my best quirk abilities works well with my camera, I hope to get more of my work recognized by other pros and you may have seen by work on other medias."
Next is a student who has spikes all around his body and is wearing a helmet that protects his eyes and there are also goggles showing only yellow dots, as his dark orange hair lowered behind his head. "My name is Delmon Hicks, my quirk is spike drills, the spikes you see on my body allows me to dig in the ground and I can use them as projectiles. These spikes will regrow in minutes depending how much I throw or lose."
Next is a male student whose presence was calm as he was wearing a mask covering his mouth and a part of his eye, and had bandages around his arms. "My name is Doc Doc, my quirk is ventriloquist, I can summon strings and needles to use to control objects or my opponents if caught, but I want to support my team by making the backup" the thought of being controlled by his quirk terrified most students, but those expressions were all but known to Doc as he walked away from the podium.
Next is a female student with her skin darkened, but her hair tied into three different colours as was layered to be pink, white, and green as the colours split from the top of her head. "I'm Sachi Muchi and my quirk is mochi. I can make my body stretch and trap others, but I can also assist in cushioning or protecting others." then Uni laughed "that's like my quirk except the crushing part"
Next is a male student who feels valiant and heroic with his blue hair with some white strands at the front and showing as a scar across the bridge of his nose, while he was carrying a sword around him at all times. "I am Goshi Haki and my quirk is energized sword beams, I can generate power full sword beams from this sword you see here, but to be frank it is not just the sword as it also applies to any other weapon I can wield, but a sword is the most familiar to me"
Next is a male student who had a good posture and felt royal with his clean slick back bright lavender hair, and adjusted his monocle and cuffs. "Greetings everyone I am Euro Von De Mirror, but you may address me as Euro Mirror, my quirk is Dimension walk, it allows me to teleport at a short distance, and dimensional phase in between dimensions making my mobility greatly in scouting and tactical positioning."
Next is a fairly shaved male student, wearing a cap and had a marking of a ball on his left eye. "Yo, I'm Pellet Shichi, and my quirk is power ball, I can produce balls from my hands or feet depending if I wanna throw or kick at my opponents as it can also ricochet, but it all matters about how well I aim it."
Next is a large male student who is a polar bear with every step feeling heavy yet feels like he has a gentle personality. "Hello, I am Poller Maximoff and my quirk is polar bear, I am a mutant as you can see and this appearance you see makes me durable and strong while also giving me the instincts of a polar bear. Though it is a bit hard for not trying to be mistaken for an actual polar bear." Poller adjusted his collar as his fur was tucked into his uniform.
Next is a male student showing his buck teeth smile, as every step feels like a rhythm to him as his hair is tied and curled. "My name is Hineno Mayo and my quirk is dance blast, I can fire energy projectiles based on the type of dance move I do as the more complicated the more effective it becomes."
Next is another female student with shorter hair than most students, but adjusted her glasses and looked more focused than anyone here. "Hello, my name is Reiko Fumoriki, my quirk is Interior, I can firmly analyze and assess weaknesses on certain structures or openings on my opponents, thus it is easy for me to see or detect where the faulty defects are at all times."
Then finally the last male student came as he wore a fedora and showing his emerald colour eyes "my name is Fennal Lani and my quirk is pathway, I can create semi-solid paths across surfaces, and it can make anyone go faster than normals paths making each route I make with my path the best for travel or I can make others slow down as I know who is using any paths I create"
Then when all the students were finished introducing themselves to everyone. Hayami nodded and congratulated all students who participated in introducing themselves to the class and will prepare the first assignment. But something didn't feel right to the students as near the bottom center there was an empty seat.
Aoi was the first to ask "Sensei Hayami, why are there only nineteen of us here, do we have a missing student?"
Hayami sighed "unfortunately we were going to have twenty students originally, but there wasn't enough and we were unfortunate enough to have that missing student"
Everyone was shocked as Reiko raised an eyebrow "so since every class had the maximum of twenty students we are the only class effected to have one short"
"That would be the case, though it will be harder for some proper teamwork and coordination as one would have to sit out or one had to have a team of three. But U.A isn't about being a hero" Hayami looked at all his nineteen students "it's about adaptation as here in class 1-a, I see many students with quirk uses who benefit mobility and control above all else to support others, that is why I am here to teach you all how to adapt to certain situations" then with a wave of his hand a subtle shockwave within the air moved all the papers towards each student as they were surprised as to how clean he did it.
But then Astral looked at him again and realized who he is "wait Sensei your Slipstream, I got photos of you and other teachers before I applied"
Hayami chuckled "I know" but he slammed his hand on his desk as it made a subtle vibration everyone in the room felt it "but this isn't time to talk, I want a reflection from the introductions each one made and tell who done the best and who explained their quirks and how do you think it would benefit your's"
Then Hayami sat on his chair and watched the students think and write about how each student's quirk would benefit them. Hayami smiled and placed two feet on his desk and rested while waiting, hoping to see what would happen next when they are missing a student.
