Chapter 1 - The Devil's Proposal

đź“– Contract Wife of the Ruthless CEO

Chapter 1 – The Devil's Proposal

The rain had started just after sunset.

Thin streams of water slid down the glass walls of the towering skyscrapers in Dhaka, blurring the bright city lights into glowing streaks of gold and white.

Standing in front of one of the tallest buildings in the city, Meherin Rahman tightened her grip on her handbag.

Above her, massive silver letters gleamed in the rain.

KHAN GROUP TOWER

The headquarters of the most powerful business empire in the country.

Meherin swallowed nervously.

Her father's voice echoed again inside her mind.

"Meherin… we're finished."

Her father, Mr. Rahman, had built Rahman Textiles from nothing. For thirty years he had worked day and night to grow the company.

But the last three months had been a disaster.

A failed export deal.

Investors pulling out.

Bank loans piling up.

And that afternoon, the bank had sent the final warning.

48 hours.

If the debt wasn't paid within two days, the bank would seize everything.

The company.

The factory.

Even their house.

Meherin closed her eyes briefly.

She could still see the defeated look on her father's face.

A proud man… finally broken.

And that was why she had come here tonight.

To meet the one man who had the power to save everything.

A man the entire business world feared.

Ryan Khan.

The CEO's Floor

The elevator doors slid open on the 45th floor.

The hallway was silent and luxurious.

Soft carpet muffled her footsteps as she walked toward the reception desk.

The receptionist looked up politely.

"Yes, ma'am?"

"I'm Meherin Rahman. Mr. Ryan Khan asked to see me."

The woman checked her computer.

Then nodded.

"Mr. Khan is expecting you. His office is at the end of the hall."

Meherin's heart began beating faster.

Each step felt heavier than the last.

Finally she stopped in front of a tall black door.

A small silver plate read:

CEO – Ryan Khan

She knocked.

A deep voice came from inside.

"Come in."

The Man Everyone Feared

The moment Meherin stepped into the office, she felt the difference.

The room was enormous, with floor-to-ceiling windows showing the entire city skyline.

Behind a sleek black desk sat a man in a dark suit.

His posture was relaxed.

But his presence filled the entire room.

Ryan Khan.

He looked up slowly.

Sharp jawline.

Cold gray eyes.

Eyes that seemed to analyze everything in seconds.

His gaze moved over her calmly.

From her hair…

to her nervous hands…

to the determination in her eyes.

"You're late," he said.

His voice was calm. Flat.

Not angry.

Just… factual.

"Dhaka traffic," Meherin replied quietly.

For a brief moment, Ryan's lips curved slightly.

"Excuses."

He stood up.

Tall.

Much taller than she expected.

Ryan walked toward the window, then picked up a thin file from the desk.

He tossed it onto the table in front of her.

"Rahman Textiles," he said.

Meherin looked down.

Her heart skipped.

Ryan continued calmly.

"Three months of financial losses."

"Twelve crore bank loan."

"Two failed contracts."

"Bankruptcy within forty-eight hours."

Meherin looked up in shock.

"You investigated us?"

Ryan shrugged lightly.

"I investigate everything."

Silence filled the room.

Then Meherin spoke quietly.

"You can save the company."

Ryan turned slowly toward her.

"Maybe."

Her pulse quickened.

"Then please help us."

Ryan walked closer.

Much closer.

His presence suddenly felt overwhelming.

"Every favor has a price, Meherin."

The way he said her name made her spine shiver.

"What do you want?" she asked.

Ryan looked directly into her eyes.

Then said something that completely froze her.

"Marry me."

🔥

Cliffhanger

The words echoed in the silent office.

For a moment, Meherin thought she had heard wrong.

"Marry… you?"

Ryan leaned casually against the desk.

"Yes."

Her mind raced.

Was he joking?

Testing her?

Or was this man truly serious?

And if he was…

Why would the most powerful CEO in the country want to marry a girl like her?

In the next chapter:

Ryan reveals a marriage contract with shocking conditions.

Meherin discovers this marriage will last only six months.

Breaking the contract will cost 50 crore taka.

And Ryan refuses to explain why he chose her.

But the biggest question remains—

Will Meherin sign the contract to save her father's company?

Or will she walk away from the most dangerous deal of her life?

Chapter 2 – The Dangerous Contract

The office felt colder now.

Meherin stood frozen, staring at Ryan Khan.

"Marry you?" she repeated slowly.

Ryan looked completely calm.

"As I said."

"This isn't funny."

"I'm not joking."

Ryan opened a drawer and pulled out a thick document.

He placed it on the desk.

Then slid it toward her.

"Read."

Meherin hesitated before picking it up.

At the top of the page, bold letters read:

MARRIAGE CONTRACT AGREEMENT

Her fingers tightened around the paper.

"A contract… marriage?"

Ryan crossed his arms.

"Yes."

Meherin quickly scanned the first page.

Then the second.

Then the third.

Her eyes widened.

"This marriage lasts only six months?"

"Yes."

"And after six months we divorce?"

Ryan nodded.

"That's correct."

Her eyes continued moving down the document.

The next line made her heart stop.

"Penalty for breaking contract… 50 crore taka?!"

Ryan's expression didn't change.

"That clause ensures loyalty."

"That's insane!"

Ryan tilted his head slightly.

"No. That's security."

Meherin glared at him.

"You're trapping me."

Ryan shook his head slowly.

"I'm protecting myself."

Her breathing grew heavier.

"Why me?"

For the first time, Ryan didn't answer immediately.

Instead he walked toward the window.

The city lights flickered far below.

After a few seconds he said quietly,

"Because I need a wife."

Meherin frowned.

"That's not an answer."

Ryan turned slightly.

"There are things you're safer not knowing."

A chill ran down her spine.

Something about his tone felt… dark.

Dangerous.

She looked down again at the contract.

If she refused…

Her father's company would collapse.

Hundreds of workers would lose their jobs.

Her family would lose everything.

Her hand slowly reached for the pen on the desk.

Ryan watched silently.

Her fingers trembled.

"Father… forgive me."

She signed her name.

Ryan smiled faintly.

"Good decision."

Meherin placed the pen down firmly.

"This is just a contract."

Ryan leaned closer.

Much closer.

His voice dropped to a whisper.

"From today…"

"You're my wife."

🔥

Cliffhanger

Meherin's heart pounded as the contract lay between them.

She had just agreed to marry a man she barely knew.

A man whose secrets felt darker than the night outside.

But suddenly Ryan's phone rang.

He glanced at the screen.

And for the first time—

His calm expression changed.

His eyes turned cold.

Very cold.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.
