CHAPTER 77 KI TRAINING
Roman had never understood the foreign energy in his body.
After discovering the foreign energy being completely different from spirit energy, he had done his best to train and increase the amount.
When ever he absorb energy from beast crystals, the energy automatically transforms into Ki energy.
Now already having massive amounts of ki from years of absorbing beast crystals, Roman was at the top amongst his peers.
Even without having a spirit beast yet, Roman's full strength and combat skills could rival that of three star Beast Knight.
Now that he finally knew that what he had is called Ki, he was ready to harness the full effects of it.
Sitting crossed legs along with the others, Roman reached into himself, his middle dantian.
There he saw the large orb of with energy, floating within with a strange force and steady pulse, ready to be unleashed at anytime.
The ki began to move, following Roman's mental commands. After years of circulating his spirit energy, he could move his ki using the same method.
The Ki moved and flowed from his chest to his left shoulder, then the right and down to his arms.
He could feel the ki strengthing each body part as it moved.
The ki flowed his face and settled around his eyes.
Even with his eyes closed, the enabled him to see the world around him in a peripheral vision of white.
He moved the ki down to his abdomen, then paused. The lower dantian was where spirit energy are stored.
He remembered the day he tried combining the ki and spirit energy in the lower dantian, but something kept repelling the energy from combining.
He could combine the ki along with the spirit energy when delivering an attack, but couldn't mix them together when at rest.
It was like both energies perfered their own place of rest.
Whatever the reason was, Roman couldn't bother himself with it.
He was finally going to learn what his ki can do, and in that exact moment, Apollo voiced out.
"Alright, times up, let's begin!"
Roman eyes snapped opened, along with the others and they slowly stood up.
"I see you guys have been able to grasp your ki"
Apollo nodded.
"It wasn't that hard really"
Sarah said with a slight stretch.
"Ki still have similar properties with spirit energy"
Lunar added.
"Yeah, but it's really dense though"
Carl said.
"It is. Now draw out your sword"
Apollo drew out his great sword and turned to another direction.
"Don't think this is going to be easy .."
He raised the sword above his head and channeled his Ki.
The sword exploded with an invisible pulse.
"Your body will naturally want to draw out your spirit energy instead, but you have to prevent that from happening. Chanel your ki instead"
The ki kept on pouring into the sword in waves.
The wind shifted around them. The others felt it from were they stood .
They watched as Apollo's blade vibrated with a strange heat.
Then finally...
SWITZH....
Apollo brought down his sword, performing a downward slash. An invisible arc of energy shot forward with a pulsing wave.
The energy flew in a straight line, passing multiple trees without cutting or destroying them. The energy flew to the far distance and then.
BOOM!!
It came into contact with a massive boulder, destroying it into tiny rocks.
The precision was top notch.
"Ki will still remain invisible when launching an attack. There are times when it could take opponent by surprise"
Apollo said as he faced them.
"One question"
Lan raised his hand.
"How do you trained your ki to such extent? I mean some of us are naturally talented..."
He passed and glaced at Roman.
Roman raised a brow.
"Hey, don't compare my hard work to talent. Trust me, I'm not talented. Have you been strucked by an actual lightning before?"
Roman folded his arms.
Lan blinked.
"Right... what I'm saying is, we can't pull off such attack with the tiny amounts of ki we got"
"Relax, don't rush it. You just found out about ki. The more you train your physical body, the more your ki grows"
Apollo replied.
"Wait seriously"
Sarah asked.
"If that's the case, then I can't wait for morning drills tomorrow "
Bryon let out a chuckle.
"Alright enough talk, draw out your swords. Ki training was the reason I wanted you guys to learn how to use a sword. Now execute the same technique I showed you yesterday "
Apollo said.
"This should be easy"
Lan said as he drew out his sword.

Back at the academy, a red squirrel could be seen running around the first years dorms.
Most of the students flinched as the creature rushed past their legs, while others glaced at it with a look of recognition.
Fury had just returned from its mission and went straight away searching for Roman.
Arriving at the door to Roman's room, Fury placed it's ear against the door and listened.
There was no sound, so the room was empty.
Fury removed his ear and looked towards the nearby window leading outside the dorm.
Anya's image popped into it's head, and it let out a short squeak.
Fury rushed to opened window and jumped off without hesitation.
It was a long way down, but Fury landed smoothly on his four limbs without strain. He looked towards the direction of the girls dorm and rushed off.
At the girls dorm, Erica laid on her bed looking spent and exhausted.
She had just returned from her specialty class and was planning on spending the rest of the evening sleeping.
Just as she was about to close her eyes, her ears caught the sound of rapid tapping sounds, coming from her window.
"Huh.. what is...?"
She raised her head and glanced at the window.
Erica raised her brow when she saw a red squirrel waving it's tiny paws.
"Fury..?"
She stood from the bed, walked towards the window and opened it.
"Hey little guy"
She smiled.
Fury looked into the room and scanned the whole place.
There was know other person in the room.
Fury's shoulders slumped.
"Ohh, if you're looking for the others, they went out for training. I don't know where but they'll be back soon"
Erica said.
Fury folded his arms.
"Oh right, I'm talking to a squirrel. I don't even know if he understand me"
Erica voiced out.
Fury looked at her and gave a thumbs up.
Then, he jumped off the window.
"Huh...I guess he does"
