Since the end of the Skyfall war, nations began to focus thier efforts in entertainment, being one of the recent sources of income to recover from their losses.
Finn stood in front of the merch shop to purchase the newly launched game that would be released later that day. While he waited,a call came in
"Yo... Finn"
""Hey there Eli, what're you up to?"
"Heading to the shop to grab my gamset"
"I guess I'm ahead of you then... what about classes tomorrow?"
"Beats me."
They talked over the phone while Finn waited patiently in line for the launch to begin.
Finn turned and stared blankly into the sky before sorting out his thoughts
The people who made these high class games are weird. No one knows who they are or support them, but they managed to make it big on their own
During the wait, a situation came up, prompting a sudden shift the release date. While the fans were a little annoyed,they eventually let it slide.
Finn gave up on waiting and went back to his house, with no expression of sadness or joy on his face. As he entered,a little girl greeted him
"Finn! Where did you go?"
"Oh hey there baby... How are you doing"
Finn carries her and heads inside
"Fine...mom just went to the convenience store but I don't know when she'll be back"
"Okay then, I'll be in my room if she needs me. Bye"
He drops her in the living room and enters his room to play some games. Despite playing for a couple of hours,he couldn't help but notice the quietness of his home. Calling out to his mom, there was no answer. He first came to a conclusion that they were asleep but couldn't stop himself from confirming
"Guess there's no harm in checking."
When he got out, there was no one inside. Not even his little sister he had left in the living room
"Huh... Happy?,mom?"
He turned to the chair and saw a little bit of struggling and bloodstains on it. Despite the fact that monster exist in their world, there is a barrier around every house to prevent entry
Finn ran out of the house to check for his baby sister,he looked around and went to various branches of the magic tower to find a clue but none of them were willing to agree without a payment.
He went to the convenience store where his mom could have gone but didn't see her. Just then,a boy dropped in front of him wearing an unusual outfit for a citizen of his country and having different colored eyes. When he stopped, the boy walked up to him
"Yo..."
"Who are you, what do you want?"
"Guess you're looking for some people important... I don't have time so I'll say this quickly; follow me to the link so that you can save your parents..."
"Huh... What's the link "
"The connection between our world and the New age's world "
Huh,the new age, that game?
"Are you in or out?"
***10 mins prior***
The game committee,walked into a building,which seems to be where the games are produced and stormed the production room
"Where's your boss?,I need answers "
"She already went home."
"Why did the game launch get stopped,huh"
They remained quiet while continuing their work. The representative of the games committee was furious and grabbed the collar of one of the technicalists
"Why won't you answer... Do you know how much we lost today, a whooping 11 billion dollars. How are you gonna earn that back huh?"
"Sir, there's a distortion in the game,which linked a portal from our world to their world which we call the link... That's what we're trying to fix here. "
The official stood for a second speechless. He stared blankly at the worker as they continued to do their jobs without rest
"W-what about the top mages, can't they do anything about it?"
"One of them offered to check inside the link"
While they were still working,a signal alerted them of a sudden reaction going on the link which could mean someone was either entering or going out of it.
"Sir... Someone is coming out of that thing,and he seems mysterious...his vital signs show that he's human but it's... incomplete "
"Incomplete?... Bring him here "
The magic knights in the area are summoned to capture him at the entrance of link but when they got there,all they saw was Finn and the mysterious boy who followed him. The knights bowed immediately they saw him.
"Sir... What brings you here?"
"I've to investigate this portal from the other side. There's nothing unusual about this place from this side."
"But sir,we received a request to capture the being that came out from this Link."
"Huh?"

Finn looked around to confirm his suspicions
"Unfortunately,we didn't see anything when we got here"
"Ah... Oh well... Thank you sir "
The knights turned back while the others proceeded to the link. Right after that,a boy of about 14 years at most staggered through the road. His body was missing a limb and he was bleeding profusely from different parts of his body. When he crossed the road to the other side,he fell on the ground, knocked out cold
