The Changing Faces
Julian tries to leave the village, but his car won't start. He notices the villagers watching him from their windows, their faces appearing stiff, almost like wood. He runs into the woods, but the path seems to twist and turn, always leading him back to the great dead oak. The straw dolls on the branches have now turned their heads to face him.
