Chapter 2 - Hunter

After a few days, Kael stepped out of the bathroom. His height had increased slightly, and his body had become noticeably more muscular.

"That's quite interesting… my body changed a lot," he muttered while looking at himself in the mirror.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed with a message.

"What now?" Kael sighed before picking up his phone and reading the notification.

"That's amazing… I got accepted as a hunter!"

A bright smile appeared on his face.

He quickly wore a black shirt and blue jeans, then walked out of the house.

"That's awesome. I'm officially a hunter now," he said happily.

Kael walked along the roadside, his thoughts drifting.

"That's right… hunters."

"According to people, for many years now, countless monster species have existed alongside humans. But they're extremely dangerous. That's why hunters were created to fight those monsters and ensure the safety of humanity."

Kael stopped in front of a large building.

Hunter Headquarters.

He walked inside and looked around.

"Hello. I'm here to sign my hunter contract," Kael said calmly.

A young woman approached him politely.

"You are Kael Draven, right?" she asked respectfully.

Kael nodded.

"Yes, that's me."

The woman nodded and guided him into an office.

"Please fill out this contract."

Kael took the document and signed it without hesitation.

"Here it is," he said confidently.

The woman checked the paper and nodded.

"According to this record, you are registered as a Mage-type hunter. From now on, you can officially take missions, create parties, and hunt monsters."

With that, she left the room.

Kael stepped outside the building and sat on a bench.

"That's great. Since I completed several missions during the training period, my level is already ten."

Suddenly, a familiar system screen appeared in front of his eyes.

[ Status Window ]

Name: Kael Draven

Level: 10

Strength: 22

Agility: 18

Intelligence: 20

Points: 500

Kael stared at the screen.

"Well… my power is increasing pretty fast. But the hunter rank system starts at D-Rank, so I still need to level up quickly."

The screen suddenly disappeared.

Another notification appeared.

[ Mission Triggered ]

Target: Kill one Golem

Reward: 200 Points

Failure Penalty: None

Kael stood up with excitement.

"Great. Time to level up."

The world around him suddenly distorted.

In the next moment, his surroundings completely changed.

He was standing in the middle of a dungeon.

"Where am I?" Kael asked, looking around in confusion.

He began walking forward slowly.

"I have to kill a golem… Usually, they aren't too dangerous at low levels. Since I'm only level ten, it shouldn't be huge."

"But I still need to be careful."

"Completing the mission safely is the priority."

Suddenly—

BOOM

The entire ground began to shake.

Kael narrowed his eyes.

"Maybe it's coming."

A massive figure slowly emerged from the darkness.

A giant golem stepped forward, its body covered in stone while blue flames burned inside its cracks.

Kael stared at it.

"That's… bigger than I imagined."

"But I can kill it."

His sword appeared in his hand, longer and sharper than before.

The golem raised its enormous fist and slammed it down toward him.

Kael quickly dashed behind it and slashed at its legs.

CLANG!

"His skin is so hard!" Kael muttered, stepping back.

The golem turned and swung its fist again.

Kael dodged swiftly, jumped onto its arm, and sprinted toward its head.

With a powerful thrust—

SHINK

He stabbed the sword into the golem's eye and quickly pulled it out.

"Great… I need to finish it quickly."

Kael continued attacking the golem's legs with full force.

Suddenly—

A new screen appeared.

[ System Level Up ]

Basic System → Advanced System

Kael stepped back, staring at the screen.

"What is this? The system… leveled up?"

Before he could think further—

BOOM

The golem struck him from behind, throwing him violently against a wall.

"AAH!"

Kael groaned in pain and slowly stood up.

"One day… this system might actually become the reason for my death," he growled angrily.

The golem looked down at him.

"Prepare to die, mortal."

Kael tightened his grip on his sword.

Blue flames suddenly erupted around his entire body.

"What… is happening to me?"

Another notification appeared.

[ System Notification ]

Kael Draven has acquired a new skill.

Skill Name: Entity Manipulation

Kael looked at the golem.

"This is my chance."

He dashed forward and sliced through the golem's legs.

CRACK

The giant creature collapsed onto the ground.

"You… mortal…" the golem growled.

Another screen appeared.

Kael sighed in irritation.

"What now?"

[ System Description ]

Would you like to scan this creature and create your first Entity by combining it with an artifact from the Gallery?

YES / NO

Kael pressed YES without hesitation.

"Okay."

A blue light scanned the golem's entire body.

After a moment, a loading bar appeared.

[ Data Analysis ]

Mixing Successful.

Kael frowned.

"At least show me what it is."

Suddenly—

A figure appeared in front of him.

A beautiful girl stood there, wearing a tight suit. Her long black hair shimmered in the reflection of Kael's sword.

Kael's eyes widened in shock.

"A… girl?"

She bows her head respectfully.

"I am here, My Lord," she said politely.

Kael looked down at her and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"So… that's my first entity," he muttered.

The girl suddenly looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Please give me a name, My Lord!" she said eagerly.

Kael blinked in surprise.

"A name?"

She nodded quickly.

"Yes, My Lord. Every entity needs a name given by their master."

Kael stared at her for a moment before smiling slightly.

"Aurelia."

The moment the name left his mouth, the girl jumped around excitedly.

"Yay! I got a name! I finally have a name!" she cheered happily, spinning around like a child who had just received candy.

Kael watched her for a moment.

…Did I summon a powerful entity or an overexcited puppy?

"You are my first entity," Kael said seriously.

Aurelia immediately stopped jumping.

She walked forward, dropped to her knees, and bowed her head deeply.

"Aurelia stands at your command, My Lord," she said with absolute loyalty.

Kael smiled faintly.

"Well… let's see what the future has prepared for us."

He turned and began walking toward the dungeon door.

Behind him, Aurelia tilted her head innocently.

"My Lord?" she called softly.

Kael glanced back at her and smiled.

"Follow me."

Aurelia's face lit up instantly.

"Of course, My Lord!"

She hurried after him happily.

Kael looked around the dungeon.

"According to the system, I should have returned to the city by now," he muttered, his brow furrowed in confusion.

Aurelia looked up at him innocently.

"Do you need something, my Lord?" she asked respectfully.

Kael turned to her and gave a calm smile.

"No. Just… thinking," he said quietly.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed through the dungeon.

"Someone's coming," Kael said, his voice sharpening as a sword materialized in his hand.

A group of golems emerged, marching toward them.

"What… is happening?" Kael muttered, his confusion quickly replaced by alertness.

Aurelia clapped her hands lightly.

"Maybe… these are the golem's own group members," she said confidently.

Kael arched an eyebrow.

"Group members? What do you mean?"

Aurelia smiled softly, her tone polite and knowledgeable.

"In dungeons, the boss or dungeon master usually controls subordinate members. Normally, when the dungeon master is killed, the others vanish. But some are independent—they have their own strength to survive, and eventually, they can become dungeon masters themselves."

Kael raised one eyebrow, smirking slightly.

"You're smart. That means they shouldn't be very strong," he said, glancing back at the approaching golems.

Aurelia nodded vigorously, her eyes sparkling.

"My Lord called me smart!" she said happily, lost in a small daydream.

Suddenly, one of the golems lunged at Kael, its massive fist dragging him back.

"These are… stronger than I expected," Kael said weakly, pushing himself upright.

Aurelia's gaze hardened instantly, radiating danger.

"How dare you touch my Lord!" she shouted. Four gleaming swords materialized around her hands, slicing through the golems with brutal precision.

Kael stepped back, wide-eyed.

"This… this is like watching a gore movie," he muttered nervously.

Aurelia glanced at him, her expression softening instantly.

"Are you okay, my Lord?" she asked gently.

Kael smiled weakly.

"Thanks," he said, still catching his breath.

A golem continued dragging its shattered body toward Kael.

"Where do you think you're going, monkey?" Aurelia snapped, pressing the golem beneath her foot. Its body exploded instantly.

[AURELIA WINDOW]

Name: Aurelia

Rank: Specialist

Kael rubbed his chin thoughtfully, reading the display.

"A Specialist… that's a good rank," he said confidently.

Aurelia's eyes sparkled with joy.

"Are you happy, my Lord?" she asked softly.

Kael smiled and ruffled her hair.

"Yes. You did great, Aurelia," he said proudly.

Aurelia leaned into his touch like a happy kitten.

"Thank you, my Lord," she whispered.

Kael walked over to the slain golems, his voice ringing with authority.

"Start Entity Manipulation."

[ENTITY MANIPULATION]

Scanning all golems… this may take a moment.

Kael observed the process, rubbing his chin.

"This is getting harder with each mission. I'll need to keep increasing my level," he muttered.

[ENTITY MANIPULATION]

Scanning complete. Do you want to merge them with other E-rank artifacts in your inventory?

Yes / No

Kael pressed Yes without hesitation.

"I hope everything goes well," he said confidently.

[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]

Merging successful.

Kael smiled.

"That's great," he said, his voice calm yet proud.

Aurelia tilted her head, slightly confused.

"My Lord… you seem genuinely happy," she said softly.

Suddenly, five warriors appeared, clad in golem-like armor and wielding swords.

"Whoa… where did they come from?" Aurelia asked, wide-eyed.

Kael grinned, glancing at the new arrivals.

"Perfect. Now I have four warriors," he said confidently.

[KNIGHT'S STATUS WINDOW]

Name: Knights

Rank: Novice

Kael smirked.

"They may be weak, but they'll be useful in a group," he said, then stored them back into the system.

Kael turned to Aurelia.

"Now it's your turn," he said before disappearing her into the system's storage.

[SYSTEM STORAGE]

All six entities successfully stored.

The dungeon vanished, and Kael found himself standing in a park, in front of a bench.

"That's convenient," he muttered confidently.

A child nearby pointed at him.

"Whoa! How did you get here so fast?"

Kael looked at the child calmly.

"That's just the beginning, kid. Manifest."

In an instant, he teleported away.

The child blinked, confused, before running to his mother.

"What happened?" she asked, worried.

Meanwhile, Kael entered his house, giving a polite nod to the elderly neighbor.

"Good afternoon," he said confidently, then stepped inside.
