Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Huo Yuhao: You Can Get Out Now (Part 1)

When Huo Yuhao entered the Shrek Outer Court dormitory, he realized it was practically comparable to a prison... No, there wasn't much of a difference between here and a prison.

The dormitory was a "tube-shaped" building with long corridors lined with doors on both sides, each marked with a room number. Judging by the peeling wall paint, this building was quite ancient; who knows how many years it had been in use.

There were communal bathrooms at both ends of the hallway. Communal bathrooms meant... thinking of this, Huo Yuhao's face instantly went dark.

They dare charge such high tuition for such a crappy dormitory?! Does Shrek truly view these students as human beings?

He might as well have gone to the Star Net National Academy... was it too late to withdraw?

Forget it, since I'm here, I'll make the best of it. Just as Uncle Baili said, I'll see what this so-called "Holy Land of Soul Masters" really is before deciding whether to stay or leave.

In truth, little Huo was overthinking things. Baili Du had insisted he come to Shrek Academy for no other reason than to stir up a certain second-generation Dragon God who had lost his Dragon God bloodline...

"207, 207... Ah, here it is."

He unlocked the door and pushed it open.

To be honest, he was even more disappointed.

The room was tiny, barely ten square meters. Two beds occupied most of the space, leaving only a single desk and two iron wardrobes. There was a soul tool lamp on the ceiling that required soul power to light up.

The room seemed to have been cleaned. His roommate was apparently a "rich dog"; the wooden bed was covered with thick, luxurious fur bedding, and his luggage already stuffed his own wardrobe to the brim. There were even items scattered across the desk and piled up on Huo Yuhao's bed.

Huo Yuhao raised an eyebrow. With things piled so carelessly on his side, his roommate probably wasn't going to be easy to get along with...

Just then, a youth walked in through the door and froze upon seeing Huo Yuhao.

Though the youth looked Huo Yuhao up and down with a face full of arrogance, a flicker of genuine surprise flashed in his eyes.

I didn't think Shrek Academy would have a student who could rival me in looks... Could he also be a girl dressed as a boy?

But after a careful look, she was certain that the Huo Yuhao before her was a genuine, pure male.

Huo Yuhao was also carefully observing the youth.

The youth wore a white, slim-fitting combat suit that looked very expensive. His skin was fair and almost translucent. His large eyes were unique—a pale pinkish-blue. His neatly cropped hair was the same color. He looked about the same age and height as Huo Yuhao.

There was also his temperament: a mix of confidence and refined manners common in children raised in wealthy, pampered environments. Such people were rare.

Even more striking was his face.

Rather than "handsome," terms like "pretty" or "beautiful" seemed more fitting. There was a certain effeminate quality to him.

It must be said that in this world, looks matter; a good appearance easily earns favor. At least for now, Huo Yuhao felt no ill will toward him.

With a gentle smile, Huo Yuhao politely extended his hand. "Hello, I assume you're in this room too. My name is Huo Yuhao, your new roommate. May I ask yours?"

The youth glared at his hand with annoyance and said coldly, "Move."

Huo Yuhao was stunned, and his brow furrowed with displeasure.

As the saying goes, one doesn't strike a smiling face. This youth was taking things too far.

Nevertheless, he withdrew his hand and stepped aside.

The youth walked past him, crossed his arms, and looked back with cold arrogance and a hint of anger.

"You're too late! I cleaned this entire room by myself!"

God knows this Shrek dorm was so dilapidated! Did he know how much effort it took him to clean this place?

Whatever happened, he was going to make this newcomer do the work! Or else... hmph!

Huo Yuhao blinked. "Then thank you. In the future, we—"

Before he could finish, the pink-blue haired youth interrupted him. "I have a few rules for you to remember. First: from now on, you are responsible for cleaning the room, but don't touch my bed. Second: no walking around naked in the room, it's disgusting. Third: no snoring at night. Fourth: do not disturb me. Fifth: do not bring people back to the dorm without permission. Is that clear?!"

"..."

The youth's high-and-mighty attitude destroyed the last of Huo Yuhao's patience.

Huo Yuhao narrowed his eyes and replied with an equally cold voice, "Who do you think you are? Why should I listen to you?"

Initially, he had planned to suggest they take turns cleaning, or even offer to do it for a few extra days himself. But he hadn't expected this person to make so many rude demands.

If you knew they were roommates, you'd think they were equals; if you didn't, you'd think he was hiring a servant...

The youth gave a disdainful snort. "You've got a lot of nerve! No one has ever dared speak to me like that! I'm telling you! If you don't listen to me, for every day you stay in this room, I'll beat you until you crawl out. Try me if you don't believe it!"

Huo Yuhao nodded seriously. "Fine. You said it."

Seeing that he wasn't backing down, the youth actually laughed. His smile was beautiful, but the disdain and contempt within it only fueled the fire in Huo Yuhao's heart.

If I don't teach you a lesson today, I'm not your Big Brother Hao.

The youth smiled slightly and suddenly closed the distance, coming right up to Huo Yuhao's face. "Your name is Huo Yuhao, right? Very well. I think your name will soon disappear from Shrek Academy—"

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt an indescribable, massive force seize his neck.

Wind whistled in his ears, and the surroundings blurred. A few seconds later, there was the sound of his head making "intimate contact" with the ground.

Huo Yuhao clapped his hands and snorted with disdain. "I hate you 'second-generation' rich kids who are arrogant beyond belief but have no real skill the most."

...

"AAAAAHHHH!!"

After a brief silence, screams erupted from outside the window. Huo Yuhao ignored them, instead returning to his bed to sit down.

The pain in his head made the youth clutch his skull and scream. His face turned red at a visible speed—it was unclear if it was from shame or rage.

He never imagined that, without even noticing, he would be grabbed by the collar and thrown out of the dormitory!

How humiliating! From childhood until now, she had never suffered such a grievance. Not only had she never been thrown out, no one had even given her a dirty look.

He... how dare he...

Many students poked their heads out of their windows, looking at him with strange expressions.

"AAAH! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"

Fuming with rage, the youth scrambled up from the ground. Two soul rings—one yellow and one purple—instantly rose beneath his feet, and a pair of butterfly wings appeared on his back.

The colors at the ends of the front wings shifted continuously from deep blue to azure to light blue. The entire wing surface looked like a blue sky inlaid with a string of brilliant halos, forming a V-shape that seemed to bring light to the world. Its shape and color were of an incomparable, impeccable beauty.

With a powerful kick off the ground, he flapped his wings and flew toward the second-floor dormitory.

"Wow, is that his martial soul? Such beautiful wings!"

"Indeed, only such a beautiful martial soul is worthy of such a handsome guy."
