(Jay's POV)
The morning sunlight streamed through my bedroom window, spilling across my bed and my brand-new uniform—well, mostly neat except for the tiny crease I didn't notice yet. I yawned and stretched, wishing I could just… stay in bed forever.
"Jay! Don't make me wake you up again!" Mom called from the kitchen.
"Coming, Mom!" I groaned, pulling myself upright.
Breakfast was quick. Mom fussed a little, making sure I had everything in my bag, while Dad teased me about surviving day one. Aries, true to form, hovered nearby, rolling his eyes at my "sleepy morning energy."
By the time I got to HVIS, my nerves were buzzing. Today felt like the real start—the first full day of classes, first proper exposure to 3-B chaos.
Arrival at School
I stepped into the parking lot. My shiny new car gleamed under the morning sun. I knew I'd have to be careful with it around Aries, who probably wouldn't survive seeing me drive in style while he trudged behind.
I didn't have much time to worry about that because I nearly collided with someone walking briskly toward the building.
"Whoa!" I gasped.
The person turned. Oh no.
Keifer Watson.
He raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Careful," he said flatly.
"Yeah… you too," I muttered.
We stood there awkwardly for a second, two storms of sarcasm and tension silently clashing.
"You're everywhere today," he added after a beat.
"And you're… everywhere," I shot back without thinking.
He blinked, clearly not used to someone talking back so easily. Then he turned and walked away, leaving me slightly flustered. Great.
Entering 3-B
I walked toward the building, heart racing. 3-B. The "untamed" classroom. The infamous den of chaos.
When I opened the door, the scene was predictably wild. Chairs half-tilted, papers flying, someone juggling pens.
"Good morning, chaos!" I muttered under my breath.
Ci-n was the first to notice me, waving like an excited puppy.
"Jay! Over here!"
"Hi, Ci-n," I said, setting my bag down.
Felix, Denzel, Drew, Josh, Mayo, and Kit were already teasing each other, loudly arguing about something nobody else could follow.
And then my eyes landed on Keifer.
He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, watching everyone like a hawk. And of course, like yesterday, he ignored me completely… or so it seemed.
The Prank Begins
Before I could even settle, Felix nudged Josh.
"Watch this," he whispered, grinning devilishly.
Next thing I knew, a tiny piece of paper hit my shoulder. I turned. Felix was smirking.
"New girl," he said. "Ready for initiation?"
I narrowed my eyes. "You're going to regret that."
Josh snickered and tossed another piece of paper.
"Careful, Jay," Ci-n whispered, "they escalate quickly."
"Bring it on," I said, adjusting my bag.
They launched a paper-ball war. I dodged, caught, and tossed back with precision. The class erupted into laughter.
Keifer watched silently, expression unreadable. I could feel his gaze burning into me.
"You're bold," he said finally, voice low.
"And you're… annoyingly silent," I countered.
A few boys snickered. I could see it in their eyes—they loved this.
Matilda's Interference
Suddenly, the classroom door swung open.
And there she was: Matilda Salvador, striding in with her usual elegant confidence.
Her eyes landed on me immediately.
"Jay…" she said, her voice dripping with condescension. "I see you've already made yourself… known."
I raised an eyebrow. "You mean surviving your school?"
Her lips pressed together. A slight frown. "You'll learn your place soon enough."
I smiled sweetly. "Can't wait."
She narrowed her eyes, then turned away like she hadn't heard me—though I knew she did.
Teacher Intervention
Just as the tension was about to escalate further, Sir Alvin walked in.
"Class," he said, voice calm but firm, "settle down."
Some of the boys groaned. Others sighed. But slowly, the classroom quieted… at least enough to recognize authority.
Jay remember, don't let them lead you astray. And don't be afraid to defend yourself."
I nodded. "Not afraid."
Keifer, of course, didn't comment. He just opened his textbook, silent and unreadable, but I noticed a faint twitch at the corner of his mouth again.
Ci-n leaned forward and whispered, "This is just day two."
I sighed. "I'm starting to think surviving 3-B will require more than brains and scholarship… maybe a little luck."
Felix grinned at me. "Don't worry, Jay. Luck is optional. Chaos is guaranteed."
And with that, the real fun, drama, and chaos of 3-B began.
