Chapter 2 - together

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Aurelia grew up in the kingdom of Corallia, surrounded by the love of Lyrica and Sebastian. They had showered her with love and care, never once making her feel like she wasn't their own.

As she grew older, Aurelia became a bright and cheerful young woman, full of energy and life. She had the love and support of her parents, and she never let the whispers of the kingdom's people get to her. Some of the mermaids and mermen of Corallia would whisper that she wasn't one of them, that she didn't belong. But Aurelia didn't listen.

She only listened to Lyrica and Sebastian, who had taught her to love and respect everyone equally. And that's exactly what she did. Aurelia loved everyone, from the lowliest sea creature to the highest-ranking officials in the kingdom.

She was wild and free, always exploring the coral reefs and playing with the fish. Her laughter echoed through the waters, bringing joy to all who heard it. Lyrica and Sebastian watched her grow with pride, their hearts full of love for their adopted daughter.

As Aurelia approached her 18th birthday, Lyrica and Sebastian couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. They had raised her to be strong and independent, but a part of them wanted to hold on to her, to keep her safe and protected.

But Aurelia was ready to spread her fins and take on the world. She was a true princess of Corallia, and she was ready to make her mark on the kingdom.

Starting

One day Aurelia went out, exploring the sea,she saw a totise struggling to steady itself, she chuckles and use her powers to spin the water around the totise putting him back into position, the totise start going, good bye Mr totise she mutters,

A group of mean girls swimming by,stop and said to her, what a pathetic princess, she doesn't even belong here, landrat..they swim away

Aurelia didn't defend herself she just sighs sitting on a stone stone, looking at the animals swim by and start sing

Verse

Look at them so Happy, cheerful and loved by all

While am here trying to ignored all the words they're saying

My heart is bleeding, my mind wondering where I belong

Mom and dad said I belong in the sea

Some says I'm a human, that I belong in the land on the surface

But I don't know what is land, what beyond the sea, up in the ocean

Chorus

Where do I belong,is it the sea,or land

Can someone tell me where I belong

The people I love are pushing me away

It hurts so bad, even if I cry hard

It'll not heal the pain I'm feeling inside

As Aurelia sat on the rock, lost in her thoughts, she heard a faint clearing of a throat behind her. She jumped, spinning around to see a girl she had never seen before. The girl looked poor, her clothes dirty and tattered, but her eyes sparkled with a warm smile.

"Hey," the girl said, waving a hand.

Aurelia smiled back, waving in return. "Hey, who are you? I've never seen you before."

The girl sighed, her expression a mix of sadness and resignation. "My name is Lyra, just a common and unpopular girl who's living in the sea like a nobody."

Aurelia chuckled, shaking her head. "You're not a nobody, Lyra."

Lyra laughed, a hint of bitterness in her voice. "I wish I wasn't. Can't you see my dress? It's dirty from head to toe."

Aurelia looked at Lyra, really looked at her, and saw beyond the tattered clothes. She saw a girl with a bright smile and sparkling eyes, and she smiled. "You look perfect, and you're totally not a nobody as you think you are."

Lyra's face lit up, and she smiled. "Thanks, by the way, what's your name?"

Aurelia smiled, about to respond, when Lyra's eyes widened. "Aurelia! The king's daughter! Pardon me, my princess!" Lyra bowed, her eyes wide with respect.

Aurelia quickly reached out, gently raising Lyra up. "You don't have to do that. I'm just like you, maybe with a title, that's all."

Lyra chuckled, her eyes shining with amusement. "You're right, and you're a good person, by the way. What are you doing here alone and singing?"

Aurelia looked down, feeling a little self-conscious. "Nothing, just exploring."

Lyra nodded, a mischievous glink in her eye. "Okay, wanna come with me? There's a great view and some amazing creatures where I live."

Aurelia's eyes lit up, and she was about to agree when the royal horns began to blow, signaling that the princess was missing. She sighed, her face falling.

"Maybe next time, I really have to go," she said, disappointment in Lyra's direction.

Lyra nodded, a small smile on her face. "Be careful," she said, watching as Aurelia swam away.

As she watched Aurelia disappear into the distance, Lyra muttered to herself, "Such a nice person..."

And with that, she turned and swam away, a small smile still on her face.

At the palace

As Aurelia swam into the palace, she was greeted by Lyrica's worried expression. Her mother's eyes scanned her from head to fin, relief washing over her face.

"Aurelia!" Lyrica exclaimed, swimming forward and pulling her daughter into a tight hug. "Thank God, I was so worried."

Sebastian cleared his throat, trying to look stern. "Swim forward, young lady," he said, his voice firm but l tinged with concern.

Aurelia swam forward, her eyes cast down. "I'm sorry, Dad," she said, trying to look contrite.

Sebastian sighed, his expression softening. "You should be," he said, but his voice was gentle. "We were worried sick about you."

Aurelia swam closer, her eyes looking up at him with a pleading expression. "Please don't be mad at me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sebastian's face melted, and he smiled. "Fine, I'm not mad," he said, opening his arms.

Aurelia's face lit up, and she swam into her father's arms, hugging him tightly. "Really?" she asked, her voice muffled against his chest.

Sebastian nodded, his eyes shining with love. "Really," he said, kissing the top of her head. "Come here, kiddo."

Aurelia smiled, feeling a surge of love and relief, and snuggled into her father's arms.

Lyrica gently pulled back from the hug, her eyes shining with a mix of relief and excitement. "Aurelia, sweetie, you need to get some rest," she said, her voice soft but firm. "Tomorrow's a big day, and you can't be up all night."

Aurelia groaned, reluctance etched on her face. "But Mom, I'm not tired," she said, pouting slightly.

Sebastian chuckled, his eyes cr crling at the corners. "You will be, trust me," he said, smiling. "Tomorrow's your 18th birthday, and it's a big deal. You're going to be crowned queen, and you'll have a lot of responsibilities."

Aurelia's expression shifted, a mix of excitement and nerves crossing her face. "I know, Dad," she said, her voice a little softer. "I just...I don't know if I'm ready."

Lyrica's face softened, and she wrapped her arms around Aurelia's shoulders. "You're more than ready, sweetie," she said, her voice filled with pride. "You've been training for this your whole life. You're kind, smart, and brave. The sea is lucky to have you as its queen."

Aurelia looked up at her parents, her eyes searching. "But what if I mess up?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sebastian's expression turned serious, and he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Aurelia, you're not alone," he said, his voice firm. "Your mother and I will be right there with you, every step of the way. And even when you're queen, you'll always have us to turn to for advice and support."

Lyrica nodded in agreement. "And besides, it's okay to make mistakes," she said, smiling. "That's how we learn and grow. The important thing is that you always do your best, and always put the needs of the sea and its creatures first."

Aurelia nodded, feeling a sense of reassurance wash over her. She knew her parents were right, and she was grateful for their love and support.

"Okay, I'll go get some rest," she said, smiling.

Sebastian smiled, relieved. "That's my girl," he said, kissing her forehead. "Get some sleep, and we'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning."

Lyrica hugged her again, holding her tightly. "We love you, Aurelia," she whispered. "So much."

Aurelia hugged her back, feeling a surge of love and gratitude. "I love you too, Mom," she said, smiling. "I love you too, Dad."

With one last hug, Aurelia swam off to her chambers, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation for the big day ahead.
