Victor said in a serious voice, "I know who killed William. It's one of us. Someone from our group has killed him. And it's not just one, but three are involved."
Jasmine froze. Her mind raced. "What do you mean? Who...?" she asked.
Victor's eyes met hers, full of urgency. "So, listen..." But before he could utter another single word, a gunshot cracked through the air. Victor clutched his arm, blood spreading across his shirt.
