Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: High-Speed Growth

When the silhouettes of Su Lun's trio appeared at the entrance of their headquarters, Astraea, who was pruning flowers in the courtyard, immediately looked up.

The Goddess's sea-blue eyes keenly caught the lingering pallor on Su Lun's face and the grime on his armor, as well as the solemnity that had yet to fully vanish from Lyu and Alise's expressions.

"Welcome back."

Astraea set down her shears and hurried to meet them, her gaze sweeping carefully over the three of them. "It seems today's exploration was anything but peaceful. Is anyone hurt?"

"We are all fine, Lady Astraea," Lyu was the first to answer, her voice having regained its usual steady tone. "It's just… some unexpected circumstances occurred."

Alise jumped in to supplement, her voice trembling with a lingering, excited fear. "Lady Astraea, you should have seen it! We ran into a massive Monster Party, and then we bumped into a terrifying variant baby dragon! Su Lun, he—"

Alise's words faltered under a calm, side-long glance from Lyu. "…Anyway, it was harrowing! But we all made it back safely!"

Astraea's gaze landed on Su Lun, filled with a tenderness that carried unmistakable concern. "Su Lun, you don't look well. Should you go back to your room to rest first, or…"

"I'm fine," Su Lun waved her off, pulling a massive magic stone pulsing with a murky, powerful energy from his vest. "I'd like to update my Status first. Also, there are things I need to report to you."

Seeing the clearly extraordinary magic stone, Astraea's eyes darkened slightly. She asked no further questions, offering only a gentle nod.

Inside the Divine Chamber, the atmosphere was quiet and solemn. Su Lun removed his shirt and sat cross-legged with his back to the Goddess. Astraea's slender fingers lightly brushed the sacred text on his back, beginning to read and update his status.

As the light of the Falna pulsed, lines of new data manifested on the parchment. Astraea's originally gentle expression was gradually replaced by a look of stunned disbelief as her eyes traced the surging numbers.

Total Daily Increase: Over 760 points

"A total increase of… over 760 points to your basic abilities…" The Goddess's voice was full of shock. "And in just one day… No, after a single battle…"

This was beyond a mere "rare" growth rate! In just fifteen days, not only had all of Su Lun's primary attributes broken through the G-rank bottleneck into the F-rank, but his Magic had leaped directly into the D-rank domain!

Astraea set down the parchment and placed her hands gently on Su Lun's shoulders, prompting him to turn around.

"Su Lun," her voice was soft, yet exceptionally grave. "Tell me, what exactly happened today? This magic stone… and this incredible growth of yours, what kind of battle did they come from?"

Under the Goddess's gaze, Su Lun recounted the encounter with the Monster Party, his use of Spike Growth to control the battlefield, and finally, the encounter with the variant dragon where he risked everything to interrupt its breath and kill it from the inside with an empowered magic missile.

As he spoke, the worry on Astraea's face deepened. Such a massive increase in power inevitably came with an equal, if not higher, level of risk.

"Promise me, and promise Lyu and Alise, that you will never take such a reckless risk again."

Feeling the warmth and concern from the Goddess's fingertips, Su Lun lowered his head solemnly. "I understand. Miss Lyu and Alise have already reminded me."

"Good." Astraea smiled gently once more. "This Great Feat has already been etched into your record. Technically, you could Level Up now, but I suggest you grind your Ability Values to their absolute limit first."

"Yes," Su Lun replied obediently.

Lyu and Alise accompanied Su Lun as he walked out of the Divine Chamber. Before parting ways in the hallway, Lyu urged him to get plenty of rest. Alise, meanwhile, promised to save him a large slice of honey cake.

Since the Goddess believed there was no need to Level Up immediately, it meant he would be challenging the very limits of this rank.

He suddenly found himself looking forward to it. He wondered exactly where his limit lay.

Soon, three months passed in this manner.
