The roar echoed across the Shadow Realm.
It rolled through the sky like distant thunder.
Kael felt a chill run down his spine.
"That did not sound friendly."
Nyra was already moving.
"Come with me."
They rushed out of the council chamber and onto the palace balcony.
The city of shadows stretched below them.
But the citizens were already looking toward the horizon.
Something was happening.
Far beyond the city walls, the sky began to twist.
A dark vortex formed in the distance.
It looked nothing like the portals Kael created.
This one was unstable.
Violent.
Nyra's grip tightened on her blade.
"That's a Void rupture."
Kael frowned.
"A what?"
Before she could answer, the vortex exploded outward.
A massive creature crawled out of the darkness.
Its body was enormous.
Larger than any Chaos beast Kael had seen.
Its skin looked like cracked stone filled with glowing purple energy.
And its eyes…
Its eyes were completely empty.
The creature roared again.
The ground beneath the Shadow Realm trembled.
Citizens began running through the streets.
Shadow guards rushed toward the city gates.
Kael stared at the monster.
"Please tell me that thing is not coming here."
Nyra did not look away from the horizon.
"It is."
The creature took one step forward.
And the mountains in the distance collapsed beneath its weight.
Kael slowly raised his glowing hand.
"Alright," he said quietly.
"Looks like Season 3 just got interesting."
