Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: The Sovereign’s Decree

Chapter 4: The Sovereign's Decree

The dawn did not bring its usual warmth to Uzushiogakure. Instead, the sky was a bruised purple, and the waves crashed against the sea-walls with a rhythmic, violent thud.

Word had spread through the night like wildfire. The "Lazy Young Master" had struck down Konoha shinobi. The Senju had left in the middle of the night. The Elders had called for a mandatory assembly at the Great Plaza.

Thousands of red-haired men, women, and children gathered. The atmosphere was a powder keg of confusion and anxiety. Kushina stood near the front, her hands clenched at her sides, looking up at the high podium where the Council usually stood.

The Evidence of Betrayal

Ashina Uzumaki stepped forward first. He looked tired, but his voice was amplified by a simple Fuinjutsu-speaker.

"My family," Ashina began, his voice heavy. "For decades, we have looked East to the Land of Fire and called them brothers. We trusted the 'Will of Fire' to be our warmth. But last night, we found that fire was meant for our funeral pyre."

On Ashina's signal, two guards dragged the Root agents onto the stage. They were stripped of their gear, their porcelain masks shattered, revealing the cold, emotionless faces of Danzo's elite.

"These men were found hiding in the shadows of our guests," Ashina declared, his voice rising with a rare anger. "Sent by the Leaf's higher-ups to take our children by force if we did not comply with their 'requests.' While we prepared for a feast, they prepared for an abduction."

A roar of disbelief and rage erupted from the crowd. To an Uzumaki, family was sacred. Betrayal was the only sin that couldn't be forgiven.

"We are old!" Ashina shouted over the noise. "We almost let this happen! But the heavens have blessed the Whirlpool with a new vision. A vision that saw the shadow before it struck."

Ashina stepped back, and Rimon walked into the light.

The Demonstration of Power

Rimon didn't wear a fancy robe. He was in his usual unzipped flak jacket, looking like he'd just woken up. But as he looked out over the thousands of red-haired kin, he didn't look like a lazy kid anymore.

He didn't speak. Instead, he raised a single hand.

"You think we are safe because of the sea," Rimon's voice rang out, clear and sharp. "You think our seals are the strongest in the world. You are wrong. We are stagnant. We are predictable. And that is why they think they can take from us."

Suddenly, Rimon's body flickered with Red Sparks.

Swoosh—

In a blink, he wasn't on the podium. He was at the far edge of the plaza, a hundred meters away.

Swoosh—

He was on top of the North Watchtower.

Swoosh—

He was back in the center of the podium, his red hair barely settled. The crowd gasped. That wasn't just speed; it was the god-like teleportation of the legends.

"Science is the study of the truth," Rimon said, holding up a small, palm-sized stone engraved with a strange, geometric seal. "And the truth is that our enemies have more numbers, more land, and more resources. But they do not have this."

He tossed the stone into the air.

"Observation Haki: Full Scan."

Rimon's eyes turned cold and focused. He didn't look at the stone; he looked at the air itself. He snapped his fingers.

[Space-Time: Hiraishin - Burst]

A localized shockwave of red chakra exploded from the stone in mid-air, manifesting as a shimmering, translucent hex-grid—a Kinetic Displacement Shield. A guard threw a kunai at it as a test; the blade didn't just stop—it vanished into a tiny spatial rift and reappeared, falling harmlessly at the guard's feet.

"This is not just a seal," Rimon told the stunned crowd. "This is a calculation of space and time. From today, we stop guessing. We stop hoping. We start knowing."

The New King

Rimon looked at Kushina, who was staring at him with stars in her eyes, then back at the clan.

"I am Rimon Uzumaki. I am lazy. I hate paperwork. And I think most of you are too loud," he said, earning a few startled chuckles from the hot-headed crowd. "But I will not let a single one of you be used as a tool by another village. If you want a leader who will bow to the Five Kage, find someone else. But if you want a leader who will make the Kage bow to the Whirlpool... then I'm your man."

The silence lasted for a heartbeat. Then, Kushina let out a piercing "YAHOO!" and the rest of the clan followed. The roar was louder than the ocean. It wasn't just a cheer; it was the sound of a clan reclaiming its pride.

Rimon let out a long breath, his "cool" facade slipping for just a second as he muttered to himself: "Great. Now I actually have to work."
