Chapter 2 - Dream Big, Start Small

In a small town lived a teenager named Riya who had a very big dream. She wanted to become a famous scientist one day and invent machines that could help people. Whenever she looked at the stars in the night sky, she imagined discovering something new about the universe. But sometimes her dream felt too big, and she wondered if she could ever achieve it.

Riya studied in a simple school that did not have many science tools or laboratories. Some of her classmates laughed when she talked about becoming a scientist. They told her that it was impossible for someone from a small town to achieve such a big goal. At first, their words made her feel sad and doubtful.

One day, her science teacher, Mr. Sen, noticed that Riya looked worried. He asked her what was wrong. Riya explained her dream and how people told her it was too big. Mr. Sen smiled kindly and said, "Big dreams are good, but remember one important thing—dream big, start small."

Riya did not fully understand what he meant. Mr. Sen explained that every great achievement begins with small steps. Even the greatest scientists started by learning simple things first. "You don't have to reach the stars in one day," he said. "Start by learning one new thing every day."

Inspired by his advice, Riya decided to take small steps toward her dream. She began reading science books from the school library. At home, she used simple materials to perform small experiments. She built a tiny model of a solar system using paper, string, and paint. Each day she learned something new, and her confidence slowly grew.

Months passed, and Riya continued working hard. One day her school announced a science fair where students could present their projects. Riya decided to create a simple machine that could help collect rainwater and store it for plants. She worked for many days, carefully designing and building the model.

When the science fair arrived, Riya was nervous. But as she explained her project to the judges and visitors, everyone was impressed by her idea and effort. Her project won first prize in the competition.

That small success made Riya very happy. More importantly, it made her realize that Mr. Sen's advice was true. Big dreams do not happen all at once. They grow step by step through hard work and patience.

Years later, Riya continued studying science and working toward her dream. She never forgot the lesson she learned: starting small does not mean thinking small. Every small step brings you closer to something great.

Whenever someone asked her the secret of her success, Riya would smile and say, "Dream big, but always start small." 🌟
