Man-man dodges and block puppet's attacks. Even though he isn't very successful at doing that. But he is trying his best so give him some slack.
There are too many of the puppets and he is all alone. Skin is fighting the main boss. However, he can't help but feel like he is getting the short end of the stick. Why does he have to fight so many of these opponents on his own? That is so unfair.
Would nobody answer this injustice? Yeah, nobody cares.
His opponents, these half dead puppets, don't fight like Chosen. A Chosen's attacks are wild and have too much strength at one hit. But Chosen puppets have skills that are confusing and almost mesmerizing to watch.
More than that, they're all in sync. They're fighting as if they're a single individual. They fight like they can communicate through mind or something. Each attack is so on point that Man-man's attacks looks immature and weak.
Or maybe the puppeteer is the one behind this unusuality. She is also a chosen but she fights so different. Her technique is unique and she knows how to control her bloodlust.
A chosen maybe isn't just a wild animal. They can be mechanical killers too. That is more terrifying to imagine and currently, Man-man is dealing with that terrifying thought.
His body is littered with cuts and injuries. They must have been holding back or testing him before. They can kill him anytime they want. So, why haven't they?
Well, that is cause of Skin. More specifically her blessing, Love-heal.
Man-man isn't aware how her blessing works. But he has concluded that it can heal or repair. Could it heal Chosen humans too? Luckly for him, it can heal Chosen.
Wounds on his bodies are healing slowly that are dealt by these half dead puppets. It is quite great as this is able to keep him alive against unfair odds. He is lucky.
However, his broken bones are not healing. Man-man has a guess why it isn't.
'Wounds dealt by others will be healed. But wounds dealt by Skin will not be healed. That is what I've concluded.'
This blessing of hers will keep him alive. But won't make him win the fight and if these puppets will just tear him apart then healing won't even do anything to keep him alive. Not to mention, if he kept on going like this even more bones will break in his body.
He needs Skin to win this battle for him. But she is also struggling with her own battle with Midori. That woman with only one arm is surprisingly strong and capable.
It would be better if Skin has her own weapon. Midori is at an advantage as she has a weapon. Man-man needs to bring her polearm to her.
He is a little far away from the body of Chosen that took the blow of her weapon in its chest. It is still sticking out of the Chosen's body and it isn't moving at all. It isn't dead as it hasn't turned into a Sinned soul.
It doesn't really matter if that Chosen is dead or not. He needs to get there and get that polearm and throw it back to her. This is going to be a painful experience. There are no expressions on his face but he does feel pain.
This whole thing sure is a pain. He is already feeling tired and just wants to sleep. But he can slack after this is over. For now, he needs to move through the horde of puppets towards that weapon of hers.
Man-man sighs and makes his move.

Skin uses her nails that are hard as claws of a sinned soul. If it hits a Chosen their face will be ripped off. But for that, her attack needs to land on her opponent.
Midori moves in a manner that is calculated. She tricks and makes fakes motions to deceive Skin. She is even capable of performing different techniques to overpower Skin's ordinary and wild combat style.
Midori dodges and attacks with her mace as a counter. Skin barely dodges and jumps backwards. There is only bloodlust on her face.
Midori taunts Skin.
"You look uglier from closer. I don't want to even be touched by you."
Skin burnt up face contort in anger and jumps straight forward. It doesn't take much to anger our impulsive friend.
She moves and attacks Midori with her limbs. Each attack is dodged or parried by Midori easily and in a calculated manner to make a spot for a direct hit on Skin.
Midori hits Skin on the face with her mace. The mace almost digs into Skin's face or skull. The hit is so destructive that it breaks few of Skin's teeth out. She bleeds from her face and mouth as Midori watches her with cold expression.
She pulls her weapon back from Skin's face. But she finds it difficult to do that.
"I've underestimated you. You are worst than an animal. Even an animal would try to stay alive but you rather kill yourself than give up."
Skin jolts back and takes the mace that is stuck to her face with her. She looks worst than ever. But that smile of hers isn't removed from her face at all. It has only grown wider.
She throws the mace far away and now both of them have no weapons.
"Now let's fight with her hands…"
Skin says that and then something comes from the sky which falls near her feet. It is none other than her Polearm (Dicky).
Her broken face excites up with joy.
"Oh Man-man, you do love me. I can't wait to give you sweet kisses… Well, there is a change in plan. Now, I will be the one with a weapon, bitch."
Skin is excited for a proper battle now. With Dicky in her hands she can do much more damage than her limbs and teeth. The smile has come back on her face.
Midori roles her eyes. She has nothing to say. This fight has gone for long enough so she gives up.
As Skin attack with her polearm. Midori intentionally gets to a position where her neck would in a line with the polearm. Skin's attack cuts straight through her neck and beheads.
Her behead head rolls on the ground and her body follow. Strangely enough though, the beheaded head speaks.
"No thanks. I rather not fight a meaningless battle with a crazy ugly chosen."
After saying those words, the head and body changes shape into a totally different Chosen. So, this wasn't even the real Midori's body. Her blessing can even change the shape of her puppets or maybe it is something else that change this Chosen's appearance to look like Midori.
And why did she killed her own puppet? Just to spite Skin and not give her the satisfying of killing. Or she had no use for this Chosen's body.
Whatever the case, Midori escaped without battling Skin to her full extent. She just played with Skin and when it came for the pay back. She killed this vessel of hers and escaped.
Skin is pissed very much.
Her face is bleeding, few of her teeth have fallen off, her skin that wasn't burnt is peeled. In conclusion her face looks even more messed up than before.
Skin spits out blood from her mouth and her face contort into a disturbing smile.
"I am going to rip your face apart when we meet again, you bitch. YOU HEAR ME? I WILL BE THE ONE TO KILL YOU NO MATTER WHAT."
Skin curses Midori who is unaware of the enemy she has just made.
