Chapter 33 - Season 2 – Chapter 11: The Shadow Key

The temple was completely silent.

Rahim stood in front of the floating Shadow Key.

The crystal in his hands glowed brightly.

Karim looked worried.

"Rahim, are you sure about this?"

Farid remained silent.

Even he did not know what would happen next.

Rahim looked at the crystal.

Since the beginning of the adventure, it had protected him.

It had guided him through mysteries, dangers, and hidden cities.

Without it, he might never have reached this place.

But now, the final trial demanded a sacrifice.

Rahim took a deep breath.

"If this is the only way to protect everyone, then I will do it."

The Shadow Keeper slowly nodded.

"A true guardian places others before himself."

Rahim stepped toward the glowing platform.

The crystal's light became stronger and stronger.

The entire temple started glowing blue.

Karim lowered his head.

He knew Rahim had made his decision.

Rahim carefully placed the crystal onto the platform.

For a moment—

Nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

A powerful wave of energy exploded through the temple.

BOOOOM!

Blue light filled every corner of the chamber.

The crystal floated into the air.

Ancient symbols appeared all around it.

Karim covered his eyes.

The light was too bright.

Farid watched silently.

The Shadow Keeper raised one hand.

The floating Shadow Key began glowing as well.

Purple energy and blue energy mixed together.

The temple started shaking.

Rahim looked up.

The crystal was slowly breaking apart.

Small pieces of light separated from it.

Karim whispered sadly,

"The crystal…"

Rahim felt a pain in his heart.

The crystal had been his companion for so long.

But he did not move.

He knew this was necessary.

Suddenly, the crystal released one final flash of light.

The entire temple became silent.

Then—

The crystal disappeared completely.

Only tiny blue particles remained floating in the air.

The sacrifice was complete.

The Shadow Key slowly floated down into Rahim's hands.

The Shadow Keeper nodded.

"You have passed the final trial."

Karim looked at the key.

"So we have all three keys now?"

Farid smiled for the first time in a long while.

"Yes."

Rahim looked at the three ancient keys.

The Silver Key.

The Storm Key.

And now, the Shadow Key.

As soon as they came together, all three keys started glowing.

A strange symbol appeared in the air.

It looked like a map.

Farid stared at it.

"The Final Gate."

The map showed a hidden valley surrounded by mountains.

In the center stood an enormous black gate.

Even in the image, the gate looked ancient and powerful.

Karim swallowed nervously.

"That thing looks terrifying."

Farid nodded.

"It should be."

Suddenly—

A loud roar echoed through the temple.

The ground shook violently.

Karim froze.

"That sounded familiar."

Farid's expression immediately changed.

"The Shadow Beast."

Another roar followed.

Closer this time.

The temple walls began cracking.

Dust fell from the ceiling.

Rahim looked around.

"It found us."

Farid nodded.

"Yes."

The Shadow Keeper slowly turned toward the darkness.

Its purple eyes narrowed.

"The beast approaches."

Karim looked worried.

"Can it enter the temple?"

The Shadow Keeper remained silent.

Then—

BOOOOM!

The giant temple doors exploded inward.

Dark smoke flooded into the chamber.

The entire building shook.

Karim stepped back in fear.

"No way…"

Two enormous red eyes appeared inside the darkness.

The Shadow Beast had arrived.

Its massive body slowly entered the temple.

The creature looked larger than ever before.

Dark energy flowed around it like living smoke.

The beast stared directly at the three keys.

It wanted them.

Farid quickly stepped in front of Rahim.

"Protect the keys!"

The Shadow Keeper also moved forward.

For the first time, fear appeared on its face.

The Shadow Beast let out another terrifying roar.

The temple pillars cracked.

Purple flames shook violently.

Rahim tightened his grip on the keys.

The final battle was coming.

And this time—

There would be no escape.
