Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

Alexander stepped out of the shower, got dressed, and headed straight to Melisa's apartment. On the way there, he and Demon-B had a brief conversation.

Alexander: "Since we're on our way to see her, did you watch me have sex with her?"

Demon-B: "I see everything you do."

Alexander: "You sick fucker…"

Demon-B: "I see everything you're doing. I can't just ignore it — it's literally right in front of me!"

Alexander: "Okay, but don't you know a spell or something that would leave me alone for two seconds?"

Demon-B: "I wish, but no."

Alexander: "Great…"

When Alexander arrived at Melisa's apartment, he waited by her window. She opened it and let him inside.

Alexander: "I did what you asked. Now give me the information I want."

Melisa: "You really need that right now? I mean, we could have another great night like the last one, couldn't we?"

In Alexander's mind:

Demon-B: "I know you liked it, but we cannot waste our time here."

Alexander: "Maybe another time. For now, give me what I want!"

Melisa: "What a shame. I really wanted to enjoy that nice body of yours again. Anyway, take this. Everything you need is on it. And by the way, you can come anytime you want."

Melisa handed Alexander a flash drive. He left while she called out her goodbyes.

Demon-B: "From Hell… what did you do to this woman to make her act like that?"

Alexander: "I thought you were watching everything."

Demon-B: "Well, yes, but that doesn't explain this kind of behavior."

Alexander: "And you're asking me?"

Demon-B: "Humans are definitely strange."

Back at his hideout, Alexander inserted the flash drive into his computer and opened the files.

Alexander: "God, she really has everything we needed. She has all the appointments, the rendezvous with major villains, his address, and even his accomplices."

Demon-B: "Maybe you should go do your thing with her more often."

Alexander: "She might be even more useful than I ever thought."

Demon-B: "Definitely."

Meanwhile, Umbra was waiting for Destyny when a portal appeared behind him. Destyny and Clair stepped out of it.

Destyny: "What are you calling me for this time?"

Umbra: "We have another murder. This time there was a battle with a crime gang. There appears to be some kind of magic involved, and we saw something strange."

Clair: "Can we start with the magic? Because I'm smelling something really bad."

Destyny: "That would be easier for us."

Umbra pointed to the place where Alexander had embedded his weapon. A strange smoke was rising from it.

Destyny: "I fear I know what this is."

Clair approached, saw the demonic magic left in the wall, and immediately stepped back while sneezing.

Umbra: "What is it then?"

Destyny: "It seems to be—"

Clair: "Demonic magic. (Achoo!) Sorry, when I sense demonic magic I'm basically allergic to it."

Umbra: "And is it bad? Dangerous?"

Destyny: "Demonic magic is one of the strongest and oldest forms of magic in this universe, along with blood magic. Blood magic has some restrictions because it always needs blood, but demonic magic is different. It needs literally nothing to gain its energy."

Umbra: "So it's limitless?"

Destyny: "Kind of. It does have some restrictions that Alexander doesn't have. The more he appears, the worse it becomes."

Umbra: "We don't have much choice now. Sooner or later, Star Lion is going to notice something strange."

Destyny: "We need to discuss this with him at the I.I.H."

Umbra: "Sure, but wait — I have something to show you."

Umbra walked over to a container, followed by Destyny and Clair. He picked up an injector and handed it to Destyny.

Destyny: "What is it?"

Umbra: "Right after the incident, shortly after I arrived, this container was open. I saw dozens of them, all full. But the moment I tried to take one, they emptied themselves out of nowhere."

Clair: "It could be magic, but I don't feel anything and there's no trace of it."

Umbra: "Yes, that's the main reason I called you. I wasn't sure if it was magic or not."

Destyny: "We'll look into it. Thanks."

Umbra: "Fine. I have some work to do, and after that I'll be calling every member of the Twelve Knights."

Umbra disappeared. Destyny and Clair left the scene through a portal. Once they arrived at their department, Destyny went to his quarters, leaving the injector on a table. Moments later, Clair took it and went to her own quarters to test it and determine what kind of magic it contained.

At the same time, Alexander was on his way to meet Ratospki, the military tech expert. The meeting place was at the docks of Avena City — specifically Avena Port.

The area was covered with containers and large cargo ships. Between some of the containers, Alexander heard noises and laughter. He went to investigate and saw people gathered around a table, others standing guard while armed, and several people locked in a cage.

Alexander: "What the hell is going on down there?"

Demon-B: "This is not what I was hoping for."

Alexander: "What should we do?"

Demon-B: "Think, Alexander. Think!"

Alexander: "…"

Demon-B: "Huh… go pay them a visit."

Siny's Notes:

The name of the city where Alexander currently is is Avena City.

Experienced magicians can feel or smell different types of magic.

Alexander took a shower because of the blood on his body.

The people Melisa wanted dead (because they owed her money) were in reality the opposite: they left more powerful and without debt to anyone.

Destyny's Profile:

Physical Aspects:

Name: Destyny (real name: unknown)

Age: unknown

Height: 1.95 m (6.4 feet)

Eyes: Blue

Powers:

Magician of a high rank

Great knowledge of magic and different types

Alexander looked down and then up, hoping no one was guarding the top of the containers. He then focused on the armed men, leaped over them, and knocked them out in one smooth motion. He repeated the move three more times without being spotted.

When the men laughing in the middle finally noticed all their comrades lying motionless on the ground, they began looking around frantically, trying to find who had done this. Suddenly, Alexander dropped from the sky and knocked one of them out. At the same time, he spotted a group of children locked in a cage. One of the men drew his pistol and pointed it at Alexander.

He fired several bullets, but Alexander calmly walked toward him, dodging every shot. When he reached the man, who had run out of ammo, Alexander pressed his weapon against the man's head.

Alexander: "That's how you do it."

He pulled the trigger, blowing the man's head apart. The remains splattered onto the nearby containers. The children in the cage screamed in terror. Two other men quickly grabbed injectors and tried to inject themselves. Alexander moved between them in a flash, pressed Alpha & Omega against both their heads, and fired before they could finish.

He then turned to the last man, who was visibly terrified. Recognizing him as the person he had been looking for, Alexander grabbed him by the neck.

Alexander: "Well, well… what do we have here? If it isn't our military tech guy."

Ratospki: "Hey… you seem like a nice guy… with nice guns too… What do you want from me?"

Alexander: "Look, I personally don't want much, so I'm only going to ask two things. First, why are there children here? Second, I want some of your merchandise."

Ratospki: "If you put me down, I can tell you and show you whatever you want…"

Demon-B: "Put him down."

Alexander released Ratospki. The man immediately rushed to one of his containers and opened it. Inside, Alexander saw advanced technology that looked exactly like the kind his father had in his underground base. He began inspecting and touching the equipment to make sure Ratospki wasn't lying.

Ratospki: "This is the best tech that exists — even Star Lion doesn't have it. Ah, and about the children… they're going to a special place. Don't worry, they're just used for work."

Alexander: "I'm interested. Tell me, what is this special place?"

Ratospki: "It's the best place in the world for people like us. Don't you know about it?"

Alexander: "I have no fucking idea. Why do you think I'm asking you?"

Ratospki: "This place is perfect. Everything is permitted — except for a few things — but overall, it's a true paradise for us villains."

Demon-B: "This man is definitely a creep."

Alexander: "Well, now I know."

Alexander pulled out Alpha, pressed it under Ratospki's chin, and fired (white pistol).

Alexander: "So how am I going to take all this with me?"

Demon-B: "There's no other option. You're going to learn how to create a demonic artifact."

Alexander: "But don't I need to be a demon?"

Demon-B: "I will be your demon."

Demon-B transferred his knowledge to Alexander. Alexander searched Ratospki's body and found his wallet. He took out one of his weapons, performed an incantation, and pulled out glowing blue orbs from the pistol. The orbs tried to escape but were trapped inside an energy sphere. Alexander shrank the sphere and placed it inside the wallet.

He then held the wallet toward all the computers and screens. The wallet absorbed everything. Alexander slipped the wallet into his pocket.

After that, he approached the cage where the children were imprisoned. The kids scrambled to the far corner in fear.

Alexander: "I'm not going to kill you, okay? Stay right there. Someone will come to help you soon."

One of the kids: "You're going to help us?"

Alexander: "I wish, but that's not my job."

Suddenly, someone behind him threw a kunai that landed close to his head. Alexander turned around and saw a woman in a dark costume that covered her entire body, with only her eyes visible. He immediately jumped away. The mysterious woman chased after him, throwing kunai and shuriken to slow him down. Alexander drew his weapons, jumped, and fired back, forcing her to dodge. He managed to create some distance between them. While jumping from roof to roof, he bit his finger to draw blood and quickly opened a portal. He leaped through it and closed it immediately from the other side.

Demon-B: "Who was that woman?"

Alexander: "I'm not sure, but she's a local hero…"

Demon-B: "She almost got you. Be more careful, or everything we've done will be for nothing."

Alexander: "I know. You don't need to remind me."

Alexander arrived at the abandoned train station that led to his hideout. He entered, tossed his mask onto the bed, turned to the side, and opened the wallet. The military technology materialized in front of him. He lay down on the bed and tossed Alpha & Omega onto a hat stand.

Demon-B: "Can you explain what you're doing?"

Alexander: "I'm 'chilling'."

Demon-B: "There's no time for this. We have to examine this suit now!"

Alexander: "Look, we have what we were looking for. We need to take a break or I won't be able to go after the suit. Besides, I'm tired — mentally."

Demon-B: "Fine. You can take a nap or do whatever, but right after that, we're going to see what we can take from this tech."

Alexander: "Deal…"

Siny's Note:

If sometimes Alexander is not recognized, it is simply because he puts on his mask whenever he wants. (He never loses his powers when he is not wearing it — he is simply without the mask. The mask always follows him wherever he goes. He can lift it like a helmet, wear it on the side, or clip it to his belt.) He puts it on at the best moment he sees fit.

While Alexander was resting, Umbra and Destyny's team arrived at the crime scene.

Umbra: "For God's sake! Three times! He has already done this much in such a short amount of time!"

Destyny: "Yes, but unlike the others, it seems he was looking for something. One of your assistants mentioned it."

Umbra: "The guy Alexander killed was wanted for smuggling high-tech military devices. He was famous for stealing our tech and selling it on the black market."

Destyny: "This time, someone took it for free… and took his life too."

Umbra: "Exactly. But before that, he wasn't working alone. He was selling to someone else, and that person is also dead — holding one of the injectors."

Destyny: "What about the kids who were there? Were they selling them too?"

Umbra: "Apparently, these kids were kidnapped a month ago. They didn't even know what was happening. I'm sorry to say it, but they were probably going to be traded."

Destyny: "At least he intervened before that happened. I don't think—"

??? : "I was hunting them."

Destyny: "And who are you?"

Kageseigi: "Kageseigi. That's my name."

Umbra: "She was already working on Ratospki's case. It appears she crossed paths with Alexander."

Destyny: "Tell me everything. Did you see his face? What was he carrying? I need to know every detail."

Kageseigi: "If that was Alexander, I didn't see a glimpse of his face. He had two pistols with him — magical pistols. He was wearing a black mask with red glowing from inside. I chased him, but he didn't seem to want to kill me. Even when he shot at me, it looked like he was only trying to slow me down."

Destyny: "Oh God… he has everything I feared."

Kageseigi: "The only other thing I saw was him diving into a red, blood-like portal."

Umbra: "All the evidence unfortunately leads to the same conclusion."

Destyny: "He is possessed."

Umbra: "And unpredictable…"

At the same time, in Alexander's hideout:

Demon-B: "So, are we going to find what we need, or are we just going to sit here and wait for the armor to drop into our laps?"

Alexander: "Okay, I'll connect the computers…"

Alexander stood up and began replacing the old computers with the new ones.

Alexander: "It's done. Now we have full immunity. They can't track us, and we can access anything on the internet…"

Demon-B: "Good. Now we can find where this armor is and get all the details on it."

Alexander: "The details are tricky. The main sources are located in a secret research center run by the I.I.H., far from their main headquarters."

Demon-B: "Okay. Do we have a way to get there?"

Alexander: "Yes, but… wait, did you see that?"

Demon-B: "The greater part of the team is composed of Sanctuary accomplices…"

Alexander: "They say the armor was designed to withstand and destroy every hero — even magicians. But they have a problem…"

Demon-B: "They don't have materials strong enough to resist your father's solar beams."

Alexander: "Yeah. At least this prototype is the only one out of thousands that successfully works with magic."

Demon-B: "This is definitely what we're going to use."

Alexander: "Besides that, it looks like they want to start some kind of 'Project' with it."

Alexander stood up from his chair, grabbed the key cards, and went outside for some fresh air.

Demon-B: "So what are you looking for?"

Alexander: "Some fresh meat, so I don't have to cut myself every time or walk all the way there."

Demon-B: "Now we're killing criminals just to make portals…"

Alexander: "Yeah, that's the point now."

Alexander jumped from rooftop to rooftop until he heard a woman screaming for help.

Alexander: "Hey, look. This guy is harassing her. We just found our ticket to the secret lab."

Demon-B: "Yeah, whatever…"

From the rooftop, Alexander watched as the man grabbed the woman by the arms.

Man: "Look, I know what you've done. But I'm no hero. I won't be merciful."

Woman: "Please! Someone! Help me!"

Alexander dropped down right beside them and immediately shot the man. Terrified by the masked figure who had just killed her aggressor in cold blood, the woman ran away. Alexander quickly created a portal and stepped through.

He emerged in a dark forest but immediately sensed something was wrong. He jumped onto a tree branch and realized the area was a minefield.

Alexander: "God! They're serious about this place."

Demon-B: "If you're building a secret bunker to create a weapon meant to annihilate heroes, you'd better take precautions. Personally, I'd do the same."

Alexander: "Anyway, from here I can see the guards and the metallic door. Isn't this place too unguarded? Only two men for a top-secret destruction weapon?"

Demon-B: "They chose the stealth route. Fewer guards means less suspicion. Besides, I suspect the real security is waiting inside."

Alexander: "Yeah, you might be right…"

Alexander jumped down and used his grappling hook to approach the guards silently. He landed behind the two men, unsheathed his weapon, and swiftly slit both their throats.

Alexander: "Well, so far it's easy."

Demon-B: "Yeah, just wait until the real shit begins. And you should take their uniforms."

Alexander hid the bodies and took one of the uniforms.

Siny's Note:

Yes, that's correct. Some of Star Lion's attacks include solar beams, against which he is also immune. He fights with his lance.

Kageseigi's Profile:

Powers:

Makes fast dashes

Extremely agile

Strong talent for quick assassinations and stealth

Member of a powerful Japanese hero family

Physical Aspects:

Name: Kageseigi (real name: unknown)

Age: 25 years old

Height: 1.68 m (5.5 feet)

Eyes: Brown

Demon-B: "And you're okay with killing them?"

Alexander: "What kind of demon tells me if I'm right or wrong for killing someone?"

Demon-B: "No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that you're killing innocent people and it looks like it means nothing to you."

Alexander: "I saw their uniforms and badges. They're also members of Sanctuary."

Demon-B: "Well, if we're done with them…"

Alexander opened the massive metallic door the guards had been protecting. It led to an immense elevator. He looked at the buttons and pressed the one for the research area.

Alexander: "Finally, I'm getting my super suit…"

Demon-B: "Yeah, I just hope the design they built from the blueprints hasn't changed too much. It would be really funny to see you wearing that old hero suit."

Alexander: "I hope not, or I'll probably kill myself…"

As the elevator approached the research area, Alexander heard voices. He quickly climbed through the elevator's trapdoor to avoid being spotted.

Demon-B: "Classic old movie move."

Alexander: "Shut up!"

Guard 1: "Strange… I thought I heard something in there."

Guard 2: "I think you're crazy and you've taken too many of those injections, Figgy."

Guard 1: "Yeah, maybe. But you haven't tested them, so you can't say anything."

Guard 2: "Maybe, but powers aren't really my thing."

Guard 1: "Really…"

While the guards took the elevator back up, Alexander managed to slip into the ventilation system. Crouching inside, he observed many rooms filled with scientists and magicians. He paused to study the guards' armor, weapons, and height, assessing how heavily guarded the facility truly was.

Alexander: "Can you see that?"

Demon-B: "I can. Wow… they're combining science with magic. I don't know exactly what they're doing, but they're preparing something big."

Alexander: "That's for sure…"

Alexander continued moving through the vents. Suddenly, he saw Demon-B standing in the real world. Startled, he jumped and made a loud noise inside the metal duct.

Alexander: "What?! How?!"

Demon-B: "I wanted to surprise you and make it funny, but you ruined it by making so much noise…"

Alexander: "Explain yourself!"

Demon-B: "I'm using the same method that creates hallucinations so I can talk to you more naturally."

Alexander: "God! Look, now they're staring at the vent…"

Demon-B stood right beside the guards, completely invisible to them.

Alexander: "Oh, you think this is funny…"

Demon-B: "I'm just a mere hallucination."

Annoyed, Alexander stomped on the vent panel and dropped into the room. He unsheathed Alpha & Omega and immediately opened fire on everyone — guards and scientists alike. After clearing the room, he searched for a way to lock down the entire facility. He spotted a control panel and rushed over to it.

Demon-B (standing next to him): "What are you looking for?"

Alexander: "The tech here is similar to what we had in the mansion. They might have a contingency protocol for when something goes wrong…"

With the press of a single button, Alexander locked down all the rooms, buying himself precious time to search for the armor.

Demon-B picked up a scientist's notebook: "Hey, look what they wrote about it."

Alexander: "How can you read that? And why are you wearing glasses?!"

Demon-B: "The glasses are for the nerdy aesthetic. I simply took the information from your memory when you first looked at it. Remember, this is all in your head."

Alexander: "Whatever…"

Demon-B read aloud: "As far as we can go for now, this armor is designed to be the spear that will pierce through everything. We have sacrificed more than one life to make it almost immune to anything. We are confident that even the Twelve Knights will struggle against this strength. Once we obtain the mask, dealing with Star Lion will be no problem. However, all of this comes at a price. The energy that collides with the armor will be transmitted as an electric shock, mimicking the potential damage according to the power of the collision, while greatly reducing its normal impact. It can also increase the wearer's strength up to ten times. For this version only, we have not yet reached a point where it can endure Star Lion's solar beams. The beams pass straight through it."

Demon-B: "Well, it sounds like one hell of an armor!"

Alexander: "Say what you want. We still have work to do…"

While Alexander retrieved the armor, Demon-B decided to "bless" it.

Demon-B: "By the fire of Hell, this armor will be their damnation. As they look upon you in fear, no one will live to see you again! Be the embodiment of hatred. Be the one who makes them suffer. They are not, and never will be, ready for your strength. Your weapons will not let them escape their torment. Make them pay… Be their fear! Be their torment! Be a true demon!"

Alexander was finally ready. At that moment, members of Sanctuary breached the room.

Demon-B: "Let death sing again…"

Alexander raised Alpha & Omega, aimed at the entrance, and the second the enemies entered, he opened fire on everything that moved.

Siny's Note:

Apparently, the mask that Alexander stole was intended for someone "gifted" by Sanctuary so they could speed up their prophecy.

Through the thick smoke from the exploded door, only the constant flash of gunfire and flying bullets could be seen. When the intense shootout finally ended, the only visible thing in the smoke was the glowing red light coming from Alexander's mask.

Alexander emerged from the smoke. A fierce firefight broke out as an epic battle began. He hurled Alpha toward a group of three men, slicing straight through their chests. The weapon flew back to his hand. The moment he caught it, he fused Alpha with Omega, forming a deadly scythe. With powerful swings, he carved through everyone in his path, ripping apart anyone who stood in his way.

Finally, he reached the elevator. A terrified scientist stood in front of him. Alexander continued walking forward while the scientist stumbled backward. At the last moment, Alexander spared the man and entered the elevator with him.

The scientist stood trembling beside Alexander. When the elevator reached the surface, the man spoke in a shaky voice:

Scientist: "Please! Spare me! I did nothing wrong! Please don't kill me!"

Alexander looked at him, then turned his gaze back to the opening elevator doors. The scientist sighed in relief, believing he had been spared. In a flash, Alexander drew his weapon and shot him in the head. The impact slammed the body into the corner of the elevator.

Alexander stepped out of the secret bunker and immediately heard sirens blaring everywhere. He quickly removed his mask, made a small cut on his face, and used the blood to create a portal. He stepped through and closed it behind him.

Back at his hideout, Alexander examined his new prize.

Demon-B: "What a nice piece we've got now…"

Alexander stood in front of a mirror and admired the armor. "I'm going to be straight with you… I love it."

Demon-B: "Good. I hope you do, because this is what you're going to use to take your revenge."

Alexander: "Yeah, but I don't think it's time yet. I may have these powers now, and I know you trained me, but we're going up against the Twelve Knights — the greatest team of heroes in history. For now, we should investigate that secret place the weirdo was talking about."

Siny: (Referring to Ratospki)

Demon-B: "I'd rather go now, but you're making a good point. I really want to know what this 'heaven for criminals' actually is."

Alexander: "Funny. First time you're admitting I have a better plan than you."

Demon-B: "Hilarious… Anyway, you should start building a reputation so we can track them down."

Alexander: "That's a solid plan…"

The next day, Alicia was called to a meeting at Leonidas's mansion. The butler opened the door and informed her that Leonidas was waiting in the main living room. As she approached, she could hear the television reporting on a new villain.

Television: "From all the reports coming out of Avena, authorities have reached a conclusion. An unidentified individual is targeting only criminals and sparing heroes. This new type of villain has been dubbed an 'Anti-Hero.' He appears to be a man around six feet tall, wearing a mask and wielding two pistols that use dark magic. Some are already calling him 'Red-Eyes.' This is all we know for now. We will keep you updated. Thank you for watching CTV."

Leonidas: "For God's sake, we don't have enough problems already… Oh, sorry. I didn't see you come in. I was too focused on the latest news."

Alicia: "No problem. I've already seen this on social media. But why did you call me here?"

Star-Lion: "I've been summoned to a meeting at the I.I.H. and I want you to come with me."

Alicia: "Sorry, but I'm not a hero. Why me?"

Star-Lion: "It's related to this 'Red-Eyes' situation. I'm pretty sure my son is involved…"

Alicia: "How do you know that?"

Star-Lion: "I'll explain everything once we're at the I.I.H. Come with me."

Star-Lion led Alicia to his secret underground base. As they descended the stairs, Alicia looked around in awe at the advanced equipment.

Alicia: "Wow… do you show this place to many people?"

Star-Lion: "No, only when necessary — and to the Legion."

Alicia: "Right… So why do we need this?"

Star-Lion: "This. Put it on your chest and press it."

Alicia placed the device on her chest and pressed it. Instantly, it created a suit similar to a spacesuit.

Alicia: "Okay, that's cool… but why do we need it?"

Star-Lion: "For this."

He grabbed her and flew out of the base at incredible speed. Alicia screamed in terror as everything blurred around her. When they arrived, Star-Lion gently set her down on her feet and burst out laughing.

Alicia: "God! What was that?!"

Leonidas: "Haha! That never gets old. Anyway, look in front of you."

Still shaking, Alicia looked ahead. She was stunned by the breathtaking harmony and peacefulness of the location. She had arrived at the headquarters of the I.I.H.

Siny's Note:

Star-Lion doesn't need to hide his identity because he is simply too powerful to be threatened. With so many equally powerful allies around him — including the members of the Twelve Knights, considered the strongest team in the world and even the solar system — it would be extremely unwise for anyone to attack him, his mansion, or his loved ones.

Alicia looked back at Star-Lion, still a little shaken from the journey.

Alicia: "You could have at least warned me about that!"

Star-Lion: "Ah-ah, no. It's funnier if you don't know beforehand. Now, can you give me back what I gave you?"

Alicia pressed the device on her chest. The suit retracted toward it, demagnetized, and dropped into her hand. She handed it back to Star-Lion. He took it and pointed toward their destination. As they walked, Alicia marveled at the beauty and prosperity around her. A gigantic dome covered everything. Heroes flew toward their destinations, while others headed to their quarters or relaxed in cafés, chatting about their latest missions. The entire place felt like a piece of fantasy brought into the real world. Everyone seemed to know each other well, like close friends.

Star-Lion was clearly revered here as a true hero. Whenever people saw him, they greeted him with genuine love and devotion, almost as if he were a king. Alicia found it impressive, yet slightly overwhelming. Further along the path, she noticed extraordinary structures behind the main buildings of the I.I.H. — things she had never seen before.

Alicia: "Wow…"

Star-Lion: "They don't teach about this place in school?"

Alicia: "Actually, no. We were taught that it is the true pinnacle of humankind, but we never saw any pictures of it because we aren't heroes."

Star-Lion: "Yes, that's true. I put some laws and legislation in place over the years. We've had too many attacks here, so we decided to close it to the public and make it accessible only to people with unnatural abilities."

Alicia: "I remember that…"

As Alicia observed the architecture, she noticed it resembled a fortress. Some sections were not physically connected but floated independently.

Star-Lion: "That's the Department of Magic."

She then saw another floating structure with thrusters underneath it.

Star-Lion: "And that's the Department of Engineering."

A tall, wide building connected to an even larger one. At the center stood what could only be described as a "space elevator."

Siny: A space elevator is a proposed infrastructure system designed to transport cargo and humans from Earth's surface to orbit without traditional rockets. This particular space elevator was originally built for the Department of Space, but some floors are now used for top-secret and urgent meetings of the Twelve Knights.

Star-Lion: "What do you think of this place?"

Alicia: "It's fabulous… but some people seem to be wondering what I'm doing here."

Star-Lion: "Don't worry about it. You're with me — they'll understand it's an exception. The reason I wanted you here is because you're the person closest to him besides me."

Alicia: "That makes sense, but did it really have to be in person?"

Star-Lion: "Yes…"

Star-Lion walked through the entrance. His spear flew in behind him, and he passed security without issue. Alicia, however, was stopped.

Security: "You don't belong here."

Star-Lion gestured to the guards, who immediately let her through. Once past security, Alicia was struck by the hall's beauty — marble floors, walls covered in shining, clearly magical wood, and lush vegetation everywhere. In the center stood a large reception counter, where Star-Lion headed.

Star-Lion: "Hi, I'm here for the urgent meeting of the Twelve. I'm probably late."

Receptionist: "Yes, sir, but the meeting hasn't started yet because of Sir Umbra's investigation."

Star-Lion: "Good. I'm taking her with me, okay?"

Receptionist: "Uhm… of course. I'll set up the elevator for you."

Star-Lion: "Let's go."

As Star-Lion and Alicia walked down the hall, they ran into Umbra.

Star-Lion: "Hello, my dear friend. I'm heading to the meeting, and it looks like you're late too."

Umbra: "Yes, I had a big investigation to handle… Who is this?"

Alicia: "Hi…"

Star-Lion: "This is Alicia. We need her for the investigation regarding my son. She was his best friend, so she might give us a different perspective on him. Don't you think?"

Umbra: "Hmm, I'm not sure. I don't think the team will be very enthusiastic about that."

Star-Lion: "Don't worry. I'm sure she can help us."

Umbra disappeared and reappeared inside the elevator. Just as Alicia and Star-Lion stepped in, Clair rushed in at the last moment.

Clair: "Hello Umbra, hello Leonidas. And who are you?"

Star-Lion: "She is Alexander's friend."

Clair: "His friend, huh? She's very special."

Alicia: "Oh… really?"

During the ride, Clair happily told Alicia about being Destyny's assistant and her work with magical artifacts, while Umbra kept quietly observing Alicia with visible suspicion.

When they finally arrived, the group dispersed in their own unique ways. Star-Lion motioned for Alicia to follow him.

Alicia: "Sorry to ask, but first — are we really in space? And second — they don't seem to enjoy my presence here very much."

Star-Lion: "You have to understand they're on high alert because of Alexander. They're the only ones who truly know what he's capable of."

Alicia: "Yeah…"

She walked beside Star-Lion, gazing at the Earth far below — thousands of miles away.

Siny's Note:

As mentioned, Star-Lion's spear always follows him. He can leave it behind if he wishes, but it cannot keep up with his top speed on its own. It only travels with him without issue when he carries it.
