Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

— MC POV —

I stopped dead in my tracks and blinked as an entire lifetime of memories, feelings, and experiences all hit me at once. Normally this kind of an experience should have left me brain dead or at the very least comatose, but all I felt at this moment was a minor headache.

According to these memories, my name is Adem Aslan. I was born to two migrants, his parents had moved to the States for work related reasons, and a year later, they had a son.

Growing up, I always felt the odd man out, that I was different from everyone else. And in a sense, I was.

When I turn 17 I got drunk and tried to lift a car, and managed to lift it over my head, and over the next year I discovered I had a myriad of superpowers.

'I'm kinda like a bootleg version of Superman,' I thought before the voice of a woman brought ne out of his thoughts.

"Adam Aslan?" A woman in her late 20s asked as she approached ne, she was slightly odd looking, but she wasn't ugly by any means.

"It's Adem, but yeah," I corrected her, although I had no clue who this woman was.

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you, my name is Ashley Barrett, I'm Miss Stillwell's assistant," she said as she put up a hand, I quickly shook it.

I had heard of Stilwell. She is supposed to be like Kathleen Kennedy for Vought. Although thankfully, she seems to be far more competent.

And as for Vought, they are the Disney of Superheroes. They basically manage heroes to ensure the maximum amount of good can be done by the heroes, while maximizing corporate profits, although I have no doubt the latter takes priority.

For which I can't really blame them entirely, companies operate to make profit, and the products of Vought are heroes that help people.

Their main group is The Seven, which is basically the Justice League of this world. They help billions either through charities or by saving lives and inspiring others.

"Why don't you follow me to Miss Stillwell's office?" Ashley asks, and I nod my head before following after her.

We entered Vought's Headquarters, there were statues of the Seven and I had to admit, it looked quite heroic.

"I know right. It's very impressive, who knows, one day there might be a statue of yours." She said with a small smile, which I returned.

"I might like that." I said with a nod as we entered the elevator.

Once we exited the elevator, I saw someone I admired.

"Homelander!" I mumbled, causing the man to slowly turn around.

"Hey there buddy," Homelander said with a charming smile on his face.

'Oh My God! I am meeting the bloody Superman of this world.' I thought as I appeared right next to Homelander.

The memories I had gained showed that since I had similar powers to Homelander, I had pretty much idolized the man- not surprising considering Superman was my childhood hero.

"Hello Sir, my name is Adem, you are my biggest fan," I said before my eyes widened, "I mean I am your biggest fan." I said as I shook the man's hand.

Unlike with Ashley, however, I did not have to hold back.

"Wow there… You are pretty strong." He said, his smile never wavering but his handshake applying more pressure, enough for me to be slightly uncomfortable and stop the handshake.

'He is stronger than me, at least for now,' were my thoughts.

"Thank you sir, I am actually meant to attend Godolkin University starting tomorrow," I said, not hiding the fact that I was a Supe, not that I had a secret identity. That concept didn't really exist in this world… except for Homelander, no one really knows his real name, some say he is an alien, and he might just be considering he is basically a Kryptonian without the space rocks issue.

"That's good to hear. Many in the Seven are actually alumni of there," Homelander said with an approving nod. "So, what brought you to our big tower?"

"Well, Miss Stillwell wanted to talk with him about an upcoming Sponsorship," Ashley cut in. Homelander gave her a slightly disdain look before looking back at me,

"You will be in great hands with Madelyn, she is the best in the business," he said before looking at the time, "I should get going now. We hold our weekly meetings at 12 o'clock every Tuesday. Who knows, you might attend them once you finish college?" Homelander said with an amused look before walking away.

"Wow…" I mumbled "You know, they say don't meet your heroes, but, but that's just bull crap," I said before noticing Ashley tugging my shirt.

"We should get going, Miss Sitwell doesn't like to wait," she said and I nodded and followed after her, shortly after we entered to an office.

It was very large, more so than most CEOs offices. In it, I saw a businesswoman in her mid 50s, and I would have to admit she looked great for someone her age.

"Miss Sitwell, Hi, Adem Aslan is here," Ashley said as we walked in,

"Thank you Ashley, why don't you two take a seat," she said and we did.

"So, Adem, what do you think about the offer?" Madelyn asked. Cutting straight to the business.

'The offer… If my memory serves me right, it should be the Vought Hydration deal. I promote their products, do some promos, and get 1 Million Dollars, annually. The deal is for the next decade, tying me up while still in college.'

"I honestly don't know much about these kinds of deals, but I think the terms are a little ambiguous," I said what I thought.

Madelyn smiled ever so slightly, "That's because it is. They purposely did so in order to increase the promotions and promos once you graduate from God U. At least the old version of the contract was, we managed to get them to make it far more clear cut, and they agreed, and even extended the time of the contract to be optional to extend another decade, of course with a bonus.

That caught me by surprise, although I did not show any reaction outwardly, "Can I read through the new contract?" I asked, and she nodded her head.

After that Ashley brought the contract, they both waited for me to finish reading, and after I was done, I nodded my head.

The contract was fairly standard, and would not limit my movement with the exception of not being seen drinking a competition's product in public, which wasn't strange for such a deal.

"I don't see any problems with this, but I will have to have my lawyer take a look," I said and Madelyn's smile faltered for a brief second before nodding her head.

"Of course." After that, we chatted for an hour and I left the building on amicable terms with Madelyn, at least I think so.

— General POV, Madelyn's Office —

'That boy… according to the reports he and Luke Riordan are the most marketable Supes of this generation, and Adem in particular could possibly be a match for Homelander.' Were her thoughts.

That was the main reason why she had arranged for this lucrative sponsorship deal, and had him come to Vought, to get a sense of the 'Next Homelander'.

She was hopeful this one would be far more balanced, albeit worried that he might be potentially harder to control.

Regardless, it was in Vought's, and her best interest for Adem to at least be a match for Homelander. That way, they could be used as a way to keep each other in line, as a mutual deterrent keeping each other from going rogue.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

Her phone rang, causing her to stop thinking about the young Supe for the moment.

"Hello Anthony… No, I wasn't busy… Aha… Aha… A-Train did what?!"

(AN: If it wasn't clear, Adem does not remember anything about the Boys Universe with the exception of what his in Universe memories suggests, which is basically what Annie knew about the world before sucking Deep off.)
