In the kingdom of Aranthia, magic was forbidden.
Seventeen years ago, King Vaelor declared that all forms of sorcery were evil. Since then, anyone suspected of magic disappeared without a trace.

One evening, while returning from the market, royal guards stopped her.
"Show us your eyes," one of them demanded.
Fear tightened her chest. As she looked up, the wind shifted violently.

The crowd screamed.
