Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Rewinding a few minutes.

After returning to Einzbern Castle and finishing dinner with his family, Irisviel took Illya to take a bath.

Haruto sat alone in the courtyard, feeling a sense of restlessness in his heart, as if something important were waiting for him.

Is it the formula, or did something happen to Touko? He then activated [Dragon's Gift], sensing the condition of the two.

Since gaining this ability, Haruto has shared his blood with his women. After all, this ability not only improves their combat prowess but also connects their souls. As long as they call out to him in their hearts, Haruto will know.

Furthermore, Haruto can perceive their status through this ability. Because of this connection, they can also feel the "gifts" between one another; thus, Irisviel and Illya are aware of Touko and Shiki's existence.

Earlier that evening, Haruto had also spent a bit of money to secure Irisviel. (You have unlimited physical strength and you need a hammer). He found that they were perfectly fine.

So, what happened? Why do I feel this way? Did I forget something?

Then, Haruto suddenly heard a cry for help.

"Grandpa, please let Sakura go."

"Otou-sama."

"Okaa-sama."

"Onee-sama."

"It doesn't matter who it is... save me."

It was a cry of pure fear and despair.

Haruto's heart skipped a beat. Sakura!! Tohsaka Sakura!!

Yes!! He had almost forgotten about this distressed girl. To "help" her, she had been sent to that hellish place today. Anger surged within Haruto, mixed with annoyance at his own forgetfulness.

He took off instantly.

SWISH

He quickly transformed into a streak of white light.

Quick... Hurry up...

This was the fastest Haruto had ever flown in his life, reaching speeds close to the speed of light.

Back at the castle, Sella and Liz looked at each other with confused expressions. Why did Master Haruto suddenly rush off?

It is worth mentioning that the two maids, along with the rest of the Einzbern staff, had changed into standard black-and-white maid outfits, discarding the drab original Einzbern uniforms.

As for why Haruto could hear Sakura's call, it was thanks to his super-hearing. When Haruto first activated this ability, the cacophony of voices nearly made his head explode. Once he became proficient, he set it to a permanent "filtered" mode. Now, it only accepts calls from his own women or truly desperate cries for help.

It is a remarkably powerful tool, filtering information as precisely as a computer program. That was how he received Sakura's call.

In fact, there was another factor prompting his reaction—an ability he had overlooked: [The Last Hope of Mankind]. Because Haruto longed to save these girls in his heart, [The Last Hope of Humanity] responded to him. Even if he hadn't heard the physical cry, he would have reached her through other means.

"I have followed your call, my princess."

Haruto looked at Sakura with a smile as he surveyed the scene. Fortunately, he had caught up in time. Haruto breathed a sigh of relief.

Sakura looked up at the handsome young man who had floated down and embraced her. Only then did she react; the fear and despair vanished, replaced by a sense of relief. She clung to Haruto, burying her head in his chest and sobbing bitterly.

"Please... please help me."

Haruto stroked Sakura's head comfortingly. "Of course, my little princess. I'm here for you. Don't worry, no one will hurt you while I'm here."

Sakura felt a profound sense of peace in Haruto's embrace, and her nervousness withered away. Seeing Haruto's god-like appearance as he came to her rescue, she felt a deep attachment growing in her heart.

After comforting Sakura, Haruto turned his gaze toward Matou Zouken.

"Who are you? Who dares trespass into the Matou house and destroy my room?" Matou Zouken was furious that his progress had been interrupted. "Put that girl down, or you will face the wrath of the Matou family."

Haruto sneered. "What a filthy, rotten monster." His eyes scanned the dense swarm of insects surrounding them. "To use such disgusting things on a girl... What depravity, Makiri Zolgen."

Matou Zouken grew wary. He could tell Haruto was a complex individual—someone who could shatter a ceiling to reach a basement and hover effortlessly in the air.

"Makiri Zolgen? Who is that? My name is Matou Zouken," he said, narrowing his eyes. "Are you sure you want to make an enemy of the Matou family?"

Sakura felt a surge of worry upon hearing the threat. She knew all too well how terrifying mages could be. Haruto patted her head, signaling her not to worry. He then looked at Zouken with pure disdain.

"Oh, it's been so long that you've forgotten your own name? Well, since you're already rotten, I'll bury you in the soil forever."

Haruto then released [Dragon's Coercion].

Matou Zouken was struck with sudden horror. Looking at Haruto, it felt as though he were staring at an ancient dragon. A crushing pressure weighed upon his soul, leaving him terrified and trembling as if facing a primeval beast.

Zouken tried to move, but the pressure paralyzed him. He couldn't even utilize his specialty—soul transfer. It felt as if his very soul had been shackled. A series of popping sounds followed as the surrounding insects were instantly crushed by the dragon's breath.

"Hmph. I know you intend to use the insects to transfer your soul, but you won't get the chance," Haruto said calmly.

Carrying Sakura, he flew out and hovered in the sky above the Matou estate. He then opened his mouth and unleashed:

[Super Breath]

Sakura watched as the Matou estate below was gradually encased in ice. Eventually, the entire property became a frozen sculpture.

Of course, Haruto wouldn't let Zouken off that easily. Though frozen, the old man's consciousness remained intact. For the next month, he would feel the biting, eternal cold—experiencing the "Eight Cold Hells"—until his consciousness finally dissipated and he officially died.

This [Super Breath] was even stronger than the one used against the Clock Tower; it was now capable of freezing the soul itself.

"Sakura, my name is Haruto. I have eliminated the bad guys for you." Haruto touched Sakura's cheek, noticing her look of disbelief. "Do you have any plans?" he asked.

Sakura's expression darkened. Her parents and sister no longer wanted her; they had cast her into that hell. She looked at Haruto—if he hadn't appeared, she would have been tortured by those disgusting bugs. A ripple of emotion stirred in her heart.

"Haruto-onii-san, my parents don't want me anymore. I have nowhere to go," Sakura said weakly.

Haruto stroked her head. "If you trust me, why don't you stay with me for a while? I don't mind having another sister. What do you think, Sakura?"

Sakura's eyes lit up. "Yes! Haruto-onii-chan, Sakura is willing!"

"Good. I will always protect you." Haruto playfully pinched her cheek.

"Hehe." Sakura giggled, looking at Haruto's handsome face. Her affection for him deepened.

With Sakura in his arms, Haruto turned and flew toward Einzbern Castle in Germany.
