Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Ghost

Jay-jay's POV:

I didn't enjoy my weekend. That Charlie Puth song was annoying. I even have a crush on that singer. But this song made me cry.

I was about to head to the Dining area when I overheard Tita Gema and Kuya Angelo talking. I stopped because they were talking about me.

"Did you take her to the Psychiatrist?" Kuya asked.

"Not yet..... I don't want to bring up that topic with her," Tita replied.

"Ma... Jay-jay needs it."

"Isn't it better if we don't force her to remember her past?"

"How cam we file charges against them if Jay can't give a statement?"

"True.... But look at her now. Maybe that's why she doesn't remember. But she has to... she needs it."

Here they go again, trying to make me remember memories I can't recall. No matter how hard I try, I really can't.

The weird part is, I remember of them even what I was doing back then. The only thing I can't remember is what happened at home. They say my mom had many husbands, and most of them abused me. But why can't I remember them? I can't recall anyone hurting me. I just woke up in the had no memories. They thought I had amnesia, but when I met all of them, they started to get scared.

Then, Lola took me in and took care of me.

Maybe I'll think about it next time. I didn't even breakfast because if their conversation. I grabbed my bike and pedaled quickly. I can't as heading to school and planned to buy food there since the vendor is my friend. I was riding quietly when I noticed a car. It had the top down. It looked cool!

I glanced at the guy standing by the post. He looked like the driver. He was wearing shades and smoking.

I just kept going and passed by him and the cool car.

"Hey, Miss!" Someone called me.

I hit the brakes and looked at the guy by the post. He walked toward me with a smile.

"Do you need anything?" I asked.

"Yeah.... I'm actually lost. Can you tell me the direction to the nearest mall?" The guy said.

He spoke in English! He must be rich. I got this.

"Yes, of course. Can you see that store?" I pointed to the shop at the corner.

He nodded.

"You can ask them for directions. Not me. I'm just new here," I said quickly and pedaled away.

Haha, sorry! I don't know much about this place. I've only been to the mall once.

I was already in front of the school when suddenly, a car stopped right in front of me. I almost got hit, but luckily, I was able to stop in time.

"Hey! What the----" I stopped when I saw the car.

It was the cool car! I looked at the driver. It was rich guy who had asked me for directions. What's going on?

He took off his shades and.... and.... his eyes were blue. Damn, he was handsome! His nose was sharp, though his hair was a little thick and needed a trim.

"I forgot to ask your name," He said.

What?! He chased me down just to ask my name? This guy is weird.

"I'm---"

"Hey!" Someone shouted.

I looked around and saw it was Yuri. Suddenly, the car sped off. I almost coughed because of the smoke.

"

Cough

What the heck?!"

"Who was that guy you were talking to?" Yuri asked, now standing beside me.

I looked at the car that was driving away.

"I don't know him. He just asked for directions," I replied.

Yuri didn't say anything. He was still looking in the direction the car went. I was about to pedal into school when Yuri suddenly grabbed the handlebars.

"Get off!" He ordered.

"Ha? Why?"

"Just get off!"

Even though I wasn't sure why, I got off. He suddenly got on and started pedaling.

I thought he was chasing the car, but he went straight to the school gate.

Look at this guy!

"Hey! Wait!" I called after him.

He didn't listen. He kept pedaling straight into the school.

What could I do? I had to follow him. I was running and walking to keep up. It was exhausting.

He parked the bike in front of the classroom. Yuri is really something! I went inside and looked for the troublemaker.

He was facing away from me, so I immediately slapped the back of his head.

"Ow!" He shouted and galred at me.

"That's for stealing my bike!" I said and sat down at my seat.

I crossed my arms, annoyed and fuming. It was so frustrating! I thought he was just messing around. "Your nose is so long,"

Ci-N commented.

I just glared at him. Sir Alvin came in, and the class began.

He didn't forgot to remind us about the upcoming exam.

"Class.... do some review. The exams is near," Our next teacher said.

"Guys! Review, okay?" Our next teacher added.

"Your lectures! Review them!" The next teacher said.

Could we forget that?! They kept repeating it over and over! It felt like they were all broken records in my head.

Review......

Review......

Review......

But it seemed like I was the only one worried about exam. I didn't see any fear of tension from the others.

Some of them were even sleeping.

It was already lunchtime. I didn't have any food with me. I forgot to bring it. Poor us three.

Maybe I'll just buy food from Ate Lilia. But she might be working.

She wouldn't be able to take care of me if there were a lot of customers.

Such a hassle!

"I'm starving...." Ci-N complained.

"Me too...." I said.

We were just here at our hangout spot. We didn't have any food, so here we were, just sitting around.

Sigh

I wish the air could fill me up so I could eat it.

"You guys look dumb," Someone said.

I looked down the stairs. It was Calix, with Mica. They were holding a tupperware.

"You're the worst!" I said, and Mica laughed.

She's something!

"Come on! Let's go to our hangout spot!" Mica invited.

She passed in front of us and went straight to the second room at the end. The one where I got their love letter.

We followed them. Calix arranged four tables and created a large one. He also grabbed some chairs.

"Come on! Why are you still standing there?" Mica called us.

Ci-N, David, and I exchanged looks. Mica probably noticed we hadn't moved.

"Calix..... did you tell them?" Mica asked.

Tell them what?

Calix face-palmed. "I forgot to mention."

"Tell them what?" Ci-N asked.

"I told Calix to invite you guys here to the hangout. I'll cook for you, as a thank you," Mica explained.

Once she said that, we all rushed to her like we won the lottery and couldn't wait for the prize. We were all starving!

I'm so thankful!

Mica was fully equipped. She had papper plates, plastic utensils, juice, and plastic cups.

Calix would clean up afterward.

Mica kept thanking us. I didn't even ask how she was doing with Mykel and Ella. It felt awkward to ask.

After our small gathering, I helped Calix clean up. I felt embarrassed since the other two were just chatting with Mica and leaving all the work to us. Unbelievable!

We left the other two at their hangout spot so they could have some alone time. We learned they couldn't move freely because of Aries' group.

"They're so cute...." I said, and both David and Ci-N looked at me. "... They're so happy now."

David and Ci-N just smiled at me. They knew what I meant: the problem was over, and they'd gotten through it, even though it took them a long time to deal with everything.

We went back to the classroom together.

Ci-N and I spent time talking and teasing each other before the teacher arrived.

"Make sure to review!" She said.

Ugh..... Even you too?

By the way, it was P.E.with Ma'am Asunta today. I rushed to the restroom to change. The coast was clear. As usual, I didn't want to waste time in the bathroom, so I moved quickly.

When I got back to the classroom...

Here we go again.

Keifer and Yuri were shirtless, wearing only boxers. I hope they get dressed already. They were still talking while changing.

I couldn't help but look at Yuri's body. He had so many scars. It looked like he had been whipped. There were all different sizes.

"Jay! Let's go!" Ci-N shouted.

"H-huh? I'm coming!" I replied and followed him.

We were back in the gymnasium. The Section A students were there too. I wasn't sure if it was their P.E.class because they weren't in their P.E. uniforms. But they had a teacher with them.

"Section E..... 500m run to start! Get ready!" Ma'am Asunta said.

As soon as she blew the whistle, we started running. But it felt like these guys had no energy. They were running so slowly.

"Can't you run faster?!" Ma'am shouted.

No one answered, and no one sped up. What's wrong with these guys?

Then I noticed. They were playing Pokémon Go. They were probably slowing down for the Pokémon egg they wanted to hatch.

Unbelievable! They prioritized Pokémon Go over P.E.
