Chapter 19 - Chapter 20 - A Psycho Ex-Member and a Human Version of Hiro Shishigami

Third-person POV

While in a city bus on their way to the intersection where they will part ways from each other for the night, Lorenzo commented to Rathanak, "You know, I was so bored at my dorm room I would rather get chased by an armed gang than to lay down on my bed on weekends. Rathanak then chuckled. "Yeah, but don't let yourself be carried away by that endeavor. Your mental health is as important as your physical health."

 "Sí, amigo!"

By 8:00 p.m., they arrived at their destination and got off while swiping their bus cards to pay the fare. They parted ways at each other and left the area. But as they did so, one young man with striking red hair and weirdly red eyes was spying their movements on that intersection. He, with his clothes as a TV repairman, let a wide, malicious grin, with a very malicious intent on that.

His red eyes flashed the Red Rings of Obsession.

"So, did boss ever strike a deal with them, eh?" he chuckled before vanishing into the night.

He was Michiyo Takahashi, an everyday TV repairman and interestingly, a former member of the Black Feathers.

Later at home, Mai and Rai are eating the pineapple while Rathanak cooked some Japanese omelette and steamed rice for dinner. "How's the pizza?" he chirped.

 "Delicious!" Mai replied.

"Italians will have a heart attack at this pizza!" Rai laughed.

"Don't say that to an Italian or in Italy, guys," said Rathanak.

And then, his phone rang. Thinking that it might be his parents from Ho Chi Minh, Rathanak picked it up. But instead of a regular call, it glitched to the face of the same unassuming repairman from the intersection via a video call.

"Um, who are you?" Rathanak raised an eyebrow.

Doing a gun gesture at the screen, the repairman Michiyo whispered, "Bang."

A force of kinetic air shot Rathanak.

Some utensils fell to the floor but there were no plates involved.

There were some traces of blood on the kitchen counters.

Mai and Rai were horrified and ran to the kitchen. "Oni-chan!"

When Rathanak got up and had his wounds sealed, Michiyo was shocked and cut the feed.

"What the flip was that?" Rathanak stared at his phone. "Isn't it me or it reminded me of Hiro Shishigami?"

In his room in a shadowy, low-rent apartment, Michiyo hissed at the screen of the cut feed. "How..." he growled as the Red Rings of Obsession flared and glowed intensely, "…how the hell is he still standing and walked away like that?"

He had a spiral-bound notebook containing his crossed-out photos of his victims and details about them, plus their contact details.

He was a serial killer like Hiro, but unlike Hiro, he was a human with a unique ability called Invisible Shots, which resembled Hiro's weapon. Also, Michiyo can use that even without a screen and can be directly.

Back at the Murakami residence, while Mai and Rai are eating their dinner, Rathanak was eating his Japanese omelette and rice with a slice of the pineapple pizza while watching a compilation of Hiro killing his victims with his unique way of shooting via screens.

He just finished wiping his own blood from the kitchen countertops.

"Yep, whoever that guy was is definitely like Hiro," he muttered while chewing his Japanese omelette and rice. "Am I being a magnet for sickos like him? Other than Takara-chan?"

Back in Michiyo's apartment, Michiyo looked at himself in the mirror in the bathroom. His Red Rings of Obsession still glowed. He remembered getting fired by Sora from the Black Feathers for being very reckless and a liability to them. He wasn't like them; he was just a human recruit, yet his impulsiveness made him lose his position and switched to TV repairman after that to blend into society and to hunt for new victims without Sora looking at him.

"Shall I surprise you, boss?" he grinned at his own reflection. "Sora, sir, you will be infuriated by what I will do to someone…"

He still retained his old habit of addressing Sora as his boss.

Back in the Murakami residence, after washing the dishes and while Mai and Rai are doing their homework upstairs, Rathanak sat down and opened his agenda journal with a green leather cover and wrote this question: Is there a chance this Hiro-like guy would ever encounter Sora-san and the Black Feathers?
