Because Rathanak would not give in, Sora had him chained to a wall in his personal underground torture chambers so he and his gang could torture him sadistically for his blood. Rathanak, however, goes with it while praying for his own safety and theirs as well. So, after that, the torture began with one of Sora's men electrocuting Rathanak with a pair of pliers that was connected to electricity. Rathanak endured the pain as much as he could without screaming, just tearing up in pain.
And then, their second torture began with shots from Sora's men's guns, as well as slashes and stabbings from some of them, who were his Elite Samurai Guards. These donned a traditional, Japanese-style samurai outfit complete with real samurai swords. Rathanak endured as much as he could from these painful blows on him.
