"How thew hell did you do that?" Julia asked, shocked to see what really just happened but relieved to be alive.
"I don't know, I just followed these instructions." Logan said, looking at the system screen hovering before him.
"What instructions?" Julia asked, confused about what Logan referred to.
"You can't see this?" Logan put a finger on the screen which hovered in front of him.

"I don't know what I am meant to see." Julia was confused but so was Logan.
It's like those powers from Anime where only the user could see the hovering texts and instructions, did I really awaken some system, Logan was lost in thought thinking about all the possibilities why could this have happened to him, the world was gone to shit, it was a zombie apocalypse but still, this kind of ability was unbelievable to him.
"Logan, are you okay?" Julia asked worried about Logan.
"Yeah, I'm okay, Julia, let me lock the main door first, we don't want someone from building unlocking it."
"But Logan, my husband is still out there, how would he come up?" Julia sobbed a little thinking about her husband, it was almost inevitable what happened to him, the way streets were filled with hordes of zombies, it was unlikely her husband survived it, but she was still hopeful.
"I'll keep the key with myself, if we spot him from here, I'll quickly open the door to let him inside." Logan assured Julia.

Logan quickly went inside his room and grabbed a padlock and went straight to the main door.

Julia and Logan were outside Logan's room when his phone started ringing.
"Logan, it's your phone." Julia said.
Logan was surprised that calls still worked, in situations like these, communications services are the first one to shut down.
He hurried to pick up the call worried it might be from his parents, not sure what news he would hear on the phone.
As he reached his phone, he saw it was his friend calling him, the same friend who had a date today and couldn't join the game.
Logan picked up the call.
"Bro you won't believe what's happening, just look out your window", voice came from the other side of phone.
"I know bro, are you okay? weren't you out on a date, it must be a massacre over there, being out in the open with so much public." Logan answered
"I was about to leave when these zombies appeared bro, I was so close to getting eaten but you won't believe what happened next, it's the dream of all the nerds."
Logan thought for a second, what his friend was about to tell him that is the dream of nerds, it must be some kind of superpower, what else could it be, did his friend also awaken the system same as him.
"What happened, tell me." Logan asked in curiosity.

"Bro what the hell, where did you get a gun, did you rob some gun shop amidst the chaos?" Logan asked his friend not believing what he heard.
"No bro, that's the the cool stuff, I can make this gun appear and disappear out of nowhere." His friend laughed on phone like a maniac.
"What the hell, you got a system that grants you guns?" Logan yelled, finding it really cool.
"Yeah buoy, I have AK-47 right here in my arms, she is a beauty, wait how did you guess correctly I got it from a system, did you also get this thing?"
"Not exactly but yeah I got something like that too." Logan said.
"What can you do, tell me everything." His friend got curious like a little kid wanting to compare their Pokemon cards.
So he got a system, I got a system, I'm pretty sure Julia doesn't have one right now, but are we all gonna get it sooner or later or it's random. Logan thought deeply, this opened a whole world of possibilities for him, he wanted to see what other powers could do, how his power compared to the others, was he weak or strong, the way his system worked he had to rely on dead zombies for his protection, he didn't get strong or got guns.
"Bro, where did you go, did some zombie get you, hello?" His friend got restless.
"I'm here bro, tell me what other guns you have?" Logan asked, he knew if he had to survive in this new world, he had to make a team full of strong people, the world was going to be ruthless to the weak, it would be kill or die soon.
"I just have only one AK-47 at at the moment bro, but the system says complete tasks to level up your rank, and that's how I can unlocked more assault rifles, by the way, the hovering system text I see is, it says Assault Rifle System."
"Damn bro, your system is the dream of everyone who wished for the zombie apocalypse." Logan said, excitedly.
"Yeah baby" His friend shouted in excitement and fired some more rounds of gun.
"Do you have unlimited ammo?" Logan asked.
"Nah bro, I have 3 magazines right now, but the system says, as I level up, ammo will increase."
"That's perfect." Logan said.
"Bro tell me about your system already."
"I can control the dead." Logan said quietly.

Julia stood there for entire conversation between two nerds and by the look of her face, it seemed like she didn't understand a thing at all, it all looked like made up words to her.
"Bro, just come to my place, we have to figure out how we'll survive this shit." Logan said.
His friend lived a few blocks away from his place, the way streets were filled with zombies it felt impossible to even think about going out on the street.
"I'll be there bro, just let the horde on streets thin a little, you'll hear me when I arrive, I'll come there with Guns a-blazing, HAHA."
