"An invisible slash, you say?" Rias repeated, her voice calm as she processed Koneko's report.
Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly in thought. 'That alone confirms he possesses a Sacred Gear but what type?' Rias pondered, her mind carefully analyzing the fragments of information she had. 'From the records I've checked, there's nothing to suggest he's ever been involved with the supernatural world. On the surface, he appears to be nothing more than an ordinary student.'
She leaned back into her chair, the polished wood creaking softly as she settled into a more contemplative posture.
Rias then sat forward again, resting her elbow on the desk and placing her hand against her chin. 'I need to be more careful with him' she thought. 'The fact that he was able to catch my rook's punch without any difficulty makes it highly likely that he's still holding back and by a significant margin.'
Turning her gaze toward Koneko, her expression remained composed, though her tone carried quiet authority. "You can stop tailing Fushi-san and focus only on Hyoudou for now."
"Okay, Kaichou," Koneko replied with a small nod before leaving the room.
Silence settled briefly after her departure.
Rias shifted her attention to her queen. "Akeno, what do you think?" she asked, her eyes drifting toward the documents spread across her desk papers containing the limited information they had managed to gather on Meguna.
Her fingers lightly tapped against the page as she waited. Akeno, standing gracefully nearby, maintained her usual gentle smile.
"Kaichou, I don't believe I can offer much about him," she replied softly. "Aside from the girls referring to him as the school's 'Ice King,' there isn't anything particularly revealing."
Meguna was an anomaly his abilities were unknown with no records of it with the supernatural side of history. That alone made him dangerous.
Rias's gaze slowly lifted from the documents and drifted toward the window, where pale moonlight spilled into the room, casting a soft glow across her face. 'Meguna Fushi… who are you exactly?' she wondered.
Her thoughts paused, shifting into something more personal. 'Could you be the key to the shackles that bind me to my fate?'
----
Meguna lay on his bed, one arm resting behind his head as faint music from Super Mario played in the background. A small smile lingered on his lips.
He was in a good mood, he had waited his entire life for this for the chance to live within this story and see just how much his existence would alter its course.
Not only had he been blessed with Sukuna's Shrine and a cursed body, but he also possessed something far more broken that was the ability to adapt to anything.
Anything that struck him, any attack directed at him, would gradually lose its effect. His body would continuously adapt until it no longer posed a threat. A power that turned survival into inevitability.
While Rias questioned what to make of him, Meguna was already thinking several steps ahead. 'That brat must've already reported to her King, he thought lazily. It's most likely they'll call me to their club on Monday.'
His lips curved slightly. 'Not like they can do anything to me. For now, I'll just let things play out and see what they try.' His eyes slowly closed as sleep took him.

Sunday arrived, it was the day of Issei's long awaited date with his so called girlfriend, Yuuma. From a distance, Koneko quietly observed the two.
They first visited a clothing shop, where Yuuma tried on several outfits, each one drawing increasingly obvious reactions from Issei. From there, they moved to a café.
Seated across from her, Issei could hardly control himself, his gaze constantly drifting toward Raynare's chest something that may or may not have been intentional on her part.
The date continued just as it did in the original story.
Eventually, they made their way toward a quiet park as the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow across the surroundings.
For a brief moment, they held hands.
Then Yuuma stepped forward, moving ahead of Issei before stopping near a water fountain. She stood there, facing him.
She stepped closer to him, her movements graceful, almost affectionate on the surface.
"Say, Issei-kun… do you mind doing me a favor to commemorate our date?"
Issei's thoughts immediately jumped to something far more romantic, his face slightly flushing as anticipation built in his mind.
He swallowed nervously before asking, "W-what kind of favor?"For a brief moment, her expression remained soft.
Then it changed and the warmth vanished, replaced by something cold and distant. "Could you die, please?"
The words didn't register at first. Issei blinked, his mind struggling to process what he had just heard. "…Could you repeat that again?"
"Could you die, please?" As she repeated the words, her appearance shifted dark wings unfurling behind her, her presence turning sharp and inhuman.
At the sight, Issei stumbled backward, falling to the ground in shock. She began speaking casually, almost cheerfully, as if nothing was out of the ordinary talking about how enjoyable the date had been, even complimenting the gift he had given her earlier.
Then, without hesitation, she summoned a spear of light and iIn one swift motion, she drove it through Issei's abdomen.
A scream tore from him as pain surged through his body. Just as she was about to continue something changed.
In an instant, Issei's body was pulled away.
So fast that neither she nor the hidden observer nearby could react.
Her eyes snapped toward the new position.
There, standing at a distance, was Meguna holding Issei by the back of his collar.
A faint irritation crossed her face. Issei weakly lifted his head, his vision blurred. "F-Fushi… san…?"
Without responding, Meguna struck the side of Issei's neck, knocking him unconscious. He lowered him slightly and began healing the wound using Reverse Cursed Technique, his expression calm. 'This will definitely alter the plot a bit', his mind noted.
"A Sacred Gear, I see?" Raynare said, a grin forming on her face. "You made a big mistake exposing yourself to me, human."
Meguna suddenly began laughing. His hand rose to his face as the sound escaped him low at first, then growing, echoing through the empty park.
Raynare frowned, confusion flickering across her expression. Meguna eventually lowered his hand, letting Issei's body drop onto the ground. "Well, birdie… why don't you try and find out?"
Without another word, Raynare lunged forward, her spear of light aimed directly at his heart.
Meguna didn't move his grin only widened.
Just as the spear was about to make contact, he caught it.
"Wha—?!" Her eyes widened in shock the spear hadn't even touched him. It hovered just short of his body, stopped by something invisible yet he held it firmly in place as if gripping it directly.
"Already scared, birdie?" he remarked, amusement clear in his tone. In the next instant, the spear shattered broken apart by invisible slashes.
Raynare immediately jumped back, tension rising in her body. A bead of sweat formed on her forehead. She instinctively wiped it away but when she looked at her hand, it wasn't sweat, it was blood.
Her expression shifted slowly, she looked down at herself.
Thin cuts had appeared across her body small, precise, and countless each one leaking faint traces of blood.
Meguna stood there, both hands now in his pockets, a grin still resting on his face.
Realization set in as fear crept into her mind.
Without another word, Raynare took to the air, retreating her movements slightly unsteady, her thoughts shaken by what she had just witnessed.
'Better to leave it at that for the sake of the plot', Meguna thought. He turned and walked back toward where he had left Issei.
As he approached, something caught his attention. A flyer in Issei's pocket began to glow red. Light spread outward, forming a summoning circle.
Within it, a figure began to take shape. From the light emerged a girl with crimson hairthe same one from the old school building. The school's beauty Rias.
