Chapter 3 - Meeting the impossible handsome beast

Jisoo walked through the Beast World, her confidence practically radiating off her. The adrenaline from her first trial still buzzed in her veins, and the strange, magical air made everything feel surreal.

Without thinking too much, she began singing aloud:

"Girl, drop it to the floor, I love the way your body gooo!"

She laughed mid-verse. Of course, who was even here to hear her? Only the trees, some weird glowing flowers, and the occasional beast creature that had wisely kept its distance after her earlier display of strength.

The system voice chimed in, calm and slightly amused:

"[User… behavior noted: Excessive confidence and… singing. No penalty applied]."

Jisoo threw her head back, grinning, and continued walking, improvising lyrics as she went. "Yeah, Beast World, I don't care about your trials or your monsters… I'm too strong, too fast, too good-looking for this nonsense!"

A sudden rustle in the bushes made her stop mid-verse. Her Beast Sense tingled, alerting her to movement. She turned slowly, a playful smirk on her face. "Oh? Someone wants to dance with me?"

From the shadows stepped a small figure—half-human, half-beast, with curious amber eyes. It tilted its head, clearly unimpressed or maybe just confused by her singing and swagger.

"Well, hello there," Jisoo said, still grinning. "You're either an enemy… or my first fan. Which is it?"

The creature stepped fully into view. Its fox-like ears twitched, bushy tail swishing, and a tiny dagger strapped to its waist. Despite its small frame, it moved with surprising grace.

"You… you're human," it said cautiously, amber eyes scanning her. "And… strong. Way too strong."

Jisoo folded her arms. "Well, duh. Did you not see me handle that giant wolf-man back there? Give me some credit."

The fox-human tilted its head. "Most humans can't even survive five minutes here… and yet, here you are, singing and strolling like this world owes you something."

Jisoo shrugged, smirking. "Yeah, well, I don't care about the rules of your little Beast World. I'm strong, I'm fast, and honestly… I'm way too fabulous for anyone to mess with me."

The fox let out a low whistle, one eyebrow raised. "Interesting. You might survive here… or die spectacularly. Either way, I'll be watching."

Jisoo laughed, spinning dramatically. "Watching me? Ha! Go ahead, little fox. You're about to witness greatness."

The fox crouched slightly, ready to spring—or maybe just follow her. Either way, the tension of a potential friendship—or rivalry—hung in the air.

Jisoo grinned wider. "Okay, Beast World… let's see who else wants to mess with me."

---

She left the fox behind, curiosity pulling her deeper into unknown corners of the Beast World. The landscape shifted with every step—dense forests with silver-leaved trees, glimmering streams, and distant, eerie howls echoing through the mountains. She had no idea where she was going, which made it even more exciting.

Her thoughts drifted back to the novel that had started all of this. "Where are those beastmen who killed the female lead?" she muttered, narrowing her eyes. "I want to see their faces… especially that second female lead. I swear, she better pray I don't find her. If I do… oh, she's going to regret it."

Her pace quickened, fueled by curiosity and a thrill of vengeance. She imagined the smug look on the second female lead's face and couldn't help smirking. "Yeah… you're going to wish you never crossed her. And me? I'll make sure she knows exactly who's in charge now."

The wind rustled through the trees, the energy of the Beast World humming around her. Every step made her feel more aware of her own power. She wasn't just some ordinary human thrown into a dangerous world—she was the one who could handle anything, maybe even rewrite the fate of the poor female lead.

A wicked grin spread across her face. "Time to find trouble… and make it regret ever existing."

---

She continued searching, weaving through forests, climbing hills, and crossing sparkling streams, but no matter how far she went, she couldn't find them.

"Are you kidding me?" she muttered, throwing her hands up in frustration. "This Beast World is so fing huge! How am I supposed to find them in this endless mess of forests, mountains, and… whatever the hell that glowing stuff is over there?!"*

She stomped her foot, impatience bubbling over. Every time she thought she spotted someone suspicious in the distance, it turned out to be just another wandering beast—or worse, one of those weird glowing plants that looked like it could eat her.

She sighed, leaning against a tree. "Okay… deep breaths, Jisoo. It's huge, yes, but you're strong. You can handle this. You'll find them… eventually."

She muttered under her breath. "And when I do… oh, that second female lead is going to wish she never existed."

Despite the frustration, a thrill coursed through her. This world was massive, chaotic, and unpredictable—and for someone like her, that made it fun.

---

As she tried to figure out where to go next, a deep, rumbling voice echoed through the trees. Her heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, she genuinely thought she was about to die.

She spun around—and froze.

Before her stood a beast so impossibly handsome she almost couldn't breathe. Sharp, regal features, eyes like molten gold, muscles rippling beneath shimmering fur—it was a being that could shake the earth with its presence.

"Oh my god… who is this handsome beast?!" she whispered, brain short-circuiting. Her mouth opened and closed like a goldfish as she tried to speak—but nothing came out.

Then the system pinged in her mind:

"[Beast Detected: Beast Lord of the South]."

She blinked, stunned. "Huhh… the Beast Lord of the South? Seriously? Of all the places to stumble into… why here? And why does he look like he just walked out of a fashion magazine for gods?"

She took a small step back, instincts screaming both run and stay. This was no ordinary creature. This was legendary. And she had the overwhelming feeling that meeting him was only going to make her life in the Beast World far more… interesting.
