With the day over and Sandrine having regained her sanity, at least as much as usual, it was time for more practical things.
Back in the barn, Sandrine first checked the cages containing the traps. In the urgency, she hadn't paid attention to if she had caught anything, but now she could open each cage to look at the trap. First one, empty. Second one, empty. Third one, there was finally something. It was so small that Sandrine almost missed it.
It was a small mouse, looking more like a vole, the same type as the group of mice who got corrupted in front of her eyes.
On one hand, Sandrine was happy because she could finally fulfil her mission. But on the other hand, she didn't know what she could do with a mouse.
"At least, this still falls under the category of barn animals, somehow. Even Flocon has been accepted, since deer farms do exist. If he had been an antilope, that would have been problematic…"
