"Actually," Dylan said, his voice rough, "I'm the one who ruined everyone's night. I let my pride take a hold of my emotions and I created a scene. I'm so sorry."
The words fell like stones into still water, creating ripples of shock that spread through the group. Mason's tear-streaked face lifted, confusion replacing some of the anguish in his eyes. Blue's arms tightened protectively around Mason, but his gaze fixed on Dylan, waiting.
