Chapter 2: A Spark in the Dark
Nayan was not like other boys in Shalbon. While they played football until sunset, he often sat under the old banyan tree with his science book.
One evening, a storm hit the town. The electricity went out, and darkness covered everything. The villagers complained, but Nayan's eyes sparkled.
He whispered, "What if I could create light without electricity?"
That night, using an old battery, some wires, and a small bulb from a broken torch, he tried to make a simple circuit. It didn't work at first. The bulb stayed dark.
His hands trembled.
"Maybe they're right… maybe boys from small towns can't do big things."
Just then, his father came and sat beside him.
"Failure is just the first lesson of science," his father said gently. "Try again."
With patience, Nayan fixed the loose wire.
And suddenly—
The bulb glowed.
It was a small light. But to Nayan, it felt brighter than the sun.
