Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: I'm in a Damned Novel

Originally, my idea was to develop my own version of "Shinobi and His Many Jobs" and adapt a couple of ideas that I "stole" from the Adult Fanfiction suggestions section (yes, I usually check the suggestions, although most of them are garbage).

However, I realized that I couldn't do much with the first idea.…at least not as much as the original author, Regarding the sectionadultI didn't find anything interesting, except for a suggestion of "Naruko queen of Riser"... and no, that's not going to happen. I would even prefer Issei to Riser.

I remembered amanhwawhich I read a while ago, which was incredibly ridiculous (in a good way, since it's a harem comedy). I'm not referring to the manga by our master and lord Lloyd Frontera, but to"I have a random job every week"(whose English title, if I'm not mistaken, is"I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week").

The story I'm going tobastardearIt won't turn Naruto into a Shinobi, but into an ordinary boy in an ordinary world, with normal parents and friends. He will be given a magical system that will make him incredibly rich.

His personality will be more mocking and sarcastic than that of Lin Yi (whose character is, in fact, labeled as "apathetic" in the original story).

With that said, let's begin the story!

Chapter 1: I'm in a Damned Novel

"Uzumaki Naruto... pack up all your things and leave," his manager snapped at the young blond man, who looked at her completely perplexed.

—Are you firing me? —he asked, genuinely confused. Actually, he hadn't done anything particularly serious that warranted being fired. Yes, I had put energy drinks in the water dispenser, but that didn't justify the measure, especially since productivity that day had tripled. —Exactly why am I being fired?

"The company doesn't believe you're suitable for this job, so we've decided to let you go," he informed her curtly. The truth was that, despite being a good salesman and the life of the office, he was being fired because the idiot refused to give them gifts, unlike the vast majority of the other salaried employees.

Despite his position, Naruto belonged to a highly influential family, being the son of two of the world's most important business magnates. Therefore, he had been trained from a young age to detect lies, and his current boss's body language screamed falsehood.

—Miss Yu... don't you think you're going too far? Any fool would realize that she's only firing me because I refuse to bribe her. That's completely unreasonable! —Naruto blurted out, forgetting his manners. He had already been fired; unless it was for a justifiable reason.

-Unreasonable? Do you dare say that I'm being unreasonable with you? Just a simple wage earner! —she replied with a smug smirk. —I have a meeting soon. Now, get out. "I don't want to waste any more time with you"—and with a wave of her hand, she dismissed him as if shooing away a particularly annoying fly.

And with that, the manager simply left the office, leaving the young man with the messy, golden hair all alone. It was a fact: his Plan A for the family tradition — to establish a profitable business on his own before the age of thirty, without resorting to family funds — had been thwarted. Fortunately, his living expenses did not depend on his business, or else he would be in real trouble.

Yet. He couldn't help but curse aloud:—What the devil?! —Finally, he shrugged:—Anyway, I guess I could be an Uber driver while I figure out what to do.—

Shortly afterwards, and almost as if I were inside one of those low-quality Chinese novels where a system is obtained for the most absurd reason, a voice inoffit echoed in his head.

"[Work experience system activated. You will receive a new profession each week and several side quests. By completing the missions, you will obtain great rewards, and over time, you will become a great tycoon.

—What the hell? —he asked, completely confused. I was pretty sure he wasn't dead... and his last medical exam didn't point to early dementia.

Ten million dollars.Owner of 100% of the Peninsula Hotel.A Pagani Zonda with an estimated market value of $10 million.

He had to blink, not once, but nearly ten times to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

-What the devil?! —he shouted again when he saw that the damn video game screen wouldn't disappear from his sight.

This, of course, had to be a damn joke. This was real life, not one of those internet novels where everyone gets a system just for being the protagonist! And even if it were, what kind of god thought giving him a system based on work was a good idea? But most importantly of all: how on earth was he going to explain to his dad that he was now the owner of the Peninsula Hotel... which he had been trying to buy for years?

—Is this some kind of joke?—he wondered. Maybe someone had put virtual reality glasses on him, or those new contact lenses he'd heard about, which were basically tiny screens on your eyes. How that didn't damage the retina was a mystery that Grandma Tsunade was still trying to unravel. However, he didn't remember falling asleep, and he was sure he would definitely feel a virtual reality system on his head, because those things were gigantic and cumbersome.

—Can I refuse it? —he asked after half an hour of trying to get rid of that annoying thing in front of his eyes.

No, you can't. You own me and you're screwed.

—Oh, how nice! "It had to be one of those who treats you like a subordinate," he complained, realizing that the system did indeed have a temper and, on top of that, insulted him. Why hadn't he been paired with Sasuke? The emo would undoubtedly enjoy this; for some reason, he liked people who insulted him.So what happens if I fail to reach 100% or at least 90% within a week?

The host can choose between starting a new class or continuing with the current one until it reaches at least 90% completion; at that point, the new work class will be automatically activated.

In essence, the system would not allow him to fail, ensuring his lifelong success. This was simply fantastic. His mother would probably find it amusing, and although his father might not like it at first, he would eventually accept it, as the family fortune would only increase.

—Anyway, let's finish this —he said to himself.

That wasn't good. Her father oversaw those accounts, and a sudden influx of ten million would definitely catch his attention.

The Peninsula Hotel requires your presence at thelobbyfor the transfer> Well, that gave him time to come up with an excuse. Perhaps he could say that he won them in a poker game. His diabolical luck in gambling was well known, and the previous owner of the hotel was famous for being a gambling addict.

The Pagani Zonda is parked in the parking lot of the company building that just fired you, area C, number 22. The keys are in your pocket.

—How on earth am I going to explain the car? —he wondered. He could justify the money with poker, and the hotel was similar, but the car? These weren't ordinary vehicles; they were the kind of car for which you went to the factory itself to put your name and signature. "Damn shitty system," he muttered.

Almost as if the universe were conspiring to make his life miserable, his father sent him a message at that very moment.

"Kakashi informed me of a deposit of ten million into your account, do you have anything to say?" read the text on his home screen.

"Shit," was his only response. He had completely forgotten that the bank manager was one of his father's protégés, a man with too much free time and a particular fascination with monitoring the movements of his mentor's offspring.

Congratulations! You are now registered as an Uber driver>

—Go to hell, system! —He couldn't help but curse out loud.

Perhaps he shouldn't havecurse aThe system, because as soon as he did, his phone started ringing. Fortunately, it wasn't his father, but his current girlfriend, Haruno Sakura, a humble girl to whom he hadn't revealed that he was, technically, second in line to the Namikaze-Uzumaki financial empire. There was something about the Senju, but I wasn't entirely sure. The point was that, unless he was dating a girl of his own social status, he was forbidden from informing his partners about his former family wealth. This allowed him to ensure that the girl loved him for who he was and not for his family's money.

—Sakura-chan, now isn't a good time, I'm...

—Naruto, we're done... you don't have to come to my birthday party and don't call me again. —The cold, sharp voice of his now ex-girlfriend interrupted him before he could give an explanation.

—Are you serious? —Naruto asked. I was at least expecting something like "we need to talk". At least Hinata had the decency to end their relationship in person, and they even remained good friends.

-Of course! We've been together for almost a year and you haven't bought me anything. I can't even afford a second-hand phone with you. I don't want to waste my youth by your side.

"Okay," Naruto replied dryly. I'm just warning you that when you repent, I'll send you straight to hell.

-Ha ha ha! Regret? I've been dating you for almost a year. I'm sure I won't regret finishing. From now on, don't contact me.

Her laughter and condescending tone made Naruto wonder why on earth he was dating that girl, something that even Sasuke had questioned him about more than once, and Sasuke had the emotional intelligence of a rock.

"Very well," he said, and without another word, he hung up the phone. She made a mental note: she should warn her grandmother that Sakura turned out to be a gold digger and therefore deny her the internship at her hospital. He didn't like to abuse his family's economic power, but Sakura had brought it on herself. He could have accepted the breakup, Hinata was a good example of that, but Sakura not only dumped him, she basically called him a loser.

Anyway, I could do it later. For now, he had something more important: he thought that crashing the Pagani into one of the cargo ships and leaving it at the bottom of the bay would be enough to get rid of it.

With that in mind, he headed to the elevator that would take him to the parking lot. Once he was sure he was alone, he rummaged in his pockets and, just as the system had indicated, found the keys to the Pagani. For some reason, the keys had a keyring shaped like his head.chibi.

Upon reaching the floor of Area C, which was strangely located underground, he began searching for Area 22. I knew her quite well, because although she didn't drive a supercar —because she didn't like not being able to modify them (stupid Ferrari user law!)—, she did drive a very decent BMW.

-What's happening? Why won't it start?

He heard a girl's voice. For some reason, her butt was exposed (fortunately, the dress she was wearing covered it up pretty well). She had an incredibly beautiful face, a delicate nose, and black stockings with high heels that only accentuated her legs. Her figure was voluptuous and athletic, making it impossible to look away from her.

"Miss Heartfilia," Naruto asked cautiously.

Although he hadn't recognized her solely by her figure —even though that backside seemed quite unique to him—, he had identified the car she was leaning over: a Maserati. The only person at the company he knew with one was Miss Heartfilia, the CEO. According to her father, her family had recently joined the ranks of the newly rich, and they were evaluating them to determine if they were worth partnering with.

The young woman pushed her blonde hair back and looked at the young man with the same hair color who had called her.

—Are you... Naruto from the sales department? —Although I had no problem socializing with the employees, it wasn't like I knew everyone. With over 400 employees in the company, it was difficult to remember everyone's name.

—Do you know who I am? —asked Naruto, genuinely confused.

Actually, he was more surprised that she knew his name without knowing that he belonged to the wealthy Uzumaki-Namikaze family. On the other hand, that would explain why she didn't try to ingratiate herself with her parents, especially her father (her mother would never consider any woman good enough for her "baby", or in Mito's case, man).

—It's hard to forget the guy who changed the salt in thecafeteria"For powdered laxatives," the young woman said with her best poker face.

"I guess not," Naruto said, shrugging his shoulders. He wasn't just any employee; he was the resident prankster... ex-resident, to be exact, but that wasn't the point. —Anyway, are you having any problems with your car? —he finally asked.

The question earned him an anxious look, before he let out an exasperated sigh. "It was fine when I parked this morning, I don't know what happened, but now it won't start," she complained, frustrated by what was happening at that moment.

"I'm not good at repairing cars, but if you have something urgent I can give you a ride in my car," said Naruto, completely forgetting that his BMW had been replaced by a damn Pagani.

The young woman with golden hair frowned slightly. However, she preferred to be carried by someone genuinely kind—even if he was a notorious joker—rather than some idiotic flatterer who would try to get into her panties.

—I need to go to the permits office to meet with an engineer. Please take me there

—No problem, —Naruto said with a smile. I didn't know anyone in that building, so I could leave her there and come back to jump off a bridge. He had just remembered that his damn car had been replaced by a Pagani, and if she saw it, she wouldn't be able to just dump it in the bay anymore."My car is nearby, please follow me," he said while internally cursing himself for his stupidity.

"Okay, thank you," said the blonde with a grateful smile, because although she didn't know that the young man in front of her had just been fired, she had no reason to be rude. Furthermore, despite his reputation as a prankster, he actually liked Naruto.

As if the world—or, more likely, the damned system—was against them, a person appeared out of nowhere behind them and interrupted their conversation, standing between them.

—Lucy, darling, I heard your car broke down—he said. You didn't have to be a genius to suspect that that idiot had caused the damage to the vehicle—. Where do you want to go? I'll take you, you don't need to call a taxi.

The young man was dressed casually, which practically guaranteed that his father would deny him any job, since for him, image was everything. However, he was wearing a Vacheron Constantin watch and, in general, appeared to belong to the upper class. Not the supreme elite, like the families of Naruto or Sasuke, who were, in essence, the lords and masters of the city of Konoha, but the upper class to which Lucy belonged.

Nevertheless, he thought he recognized him as the son of one of the city's most prominent shipping groups. Although he wasn't entirely sure of her name, to tell the truth, he didn't care at all. From what little he knew, the young man had been trying to court Lucy for several months.

However, the Heartfilia daughter didn't pay much attention to him, which inevitably led Naruto to think that the guy was a "simp," because if the girl said no, it meant no.

—How do you know my car broke down if I haven't told anyone? —Lucy asked, squinting.

—Originally, I came here to discuss some matters, but coincidentally your car broke down, and coincidentally I just bought a Lamborghini Huracán. "It cost me an arm and a leg," he said, completely ignoring Lucy's question.

"That's quite a coincidence," Naruto commented dryly, paying no attention whatsoever to the price of the car. Even if it was a Lamborghini, a supercar, the most recent models barely reached $300,000. For Mito, that was just a weekend in Milan.

"Don't worry about it," Lucy told Naruto, knowing that it was all the work of her suitor. In addition, my co-worker has a nicer and much safer car. I prefer that he takes me.

"It's not my BMW anymore," Naruto cried internally. Ironically, it was a hypercar... Damn system that made his life difficult.

Despite that, Lucy completely ignored him, turning towards him with a smile.

—Let's go —she said.

"Okay," Naruto replied, still sounding depressed, as he tried to figure out how to explain the situation with his new, expensive car, which was probably worth more than all the other vehicles in the parking lot.

—¡Lucy! Did you hear what you just said? He's just a miserable, low-level employee in your company! "He probably just drives a mediocre car; it can't compare to my Lamborghini," the man said, further depressing Naruto. I loved that car and the damn system had probably turned it into junk.

—So what if it's just a humble BMW? —Lucy replied dryly, making Naruto shrink even more. Did everyone want to remind her that she had lost her damn baby? "It's a decent car and, as I said, I prefer him to drive me."

Without adding anything else, she simply continued walking towards the employee parking lot, with Naruto still moaning for his 'baby' as he followed closely behind.

The two upper-class members were absolutely stunned upon arrival, totally captivated by the sight of the beautiful chrome-plated silver Pagani Zonda. Or, as Naruto described it, "a damn mirror on wheels."

"It's not even orange," Naruto lamented. "Damn! At least he could have given it a nice orange tint and not a damn mirror on wheels."

The heir to the shipping group, after having tried to impress her with a Lamborghini, could not hide his astonishment:—Lucy, is this a Pagani Zonda...? Last time I checked, this one sold for almost ten million dollars at auction. You just bought it, right?---It was, after all, a damn hypercar.

Lucy flatly refused: "I don't think I can afford something like this." Although her family had money, her father would probably disinherit her if she spent ten million on a car. She wasn't an Uchiha, a Nara, or much less an Uzumaki-Namikaze to waste such an obscene sum on a vehicle.

The shipowner's heir, despite everything, regained confidence. If that wasn't the car that would impress his love interest, he still had ways of doing it.

"Be that as it may," he insisted, "my offer to take you still stands."

—I already told you no—Lucy replied dryly, turning to her blond companion. Where is your car? Let's go as soon as possible.

"It's the Pagani," Naruto replied, still depressed about losing his own car.

Of course, the shipping company's heir didn't believe him at all. After all, he was just an employee; there was simply no way he could afford a car that only people like the sons of Minato Namikaze or Fugaku Uchiha would drive. And as far as he knew, the young master Sasuke preferred motorcycles, and nobody knew anything about the son of the Uzumaki-Namikaze.

NeverthelessNaruto ignored their taunts because he was depressed about the loss of his baby and simply took the keys out of the mirror on wheels, and simply pressed the button to release the locks, which caused both the young man from the shipping company and Lucy to turn completely pale.

—Get in the car, will you?---"Naruto said, opening the wing-style doors before taking a seat in the driver's place."

—Y-yours? Is this Pagani really yours? —asked the young man from the shipping company, completely astonished.

It didn't make sense. He was a simple employee in the sales department. How the hell could he afford a damn collector's car? It was, quite simply, impossible.

—Yes, it's mine. "If you don't mind... you're scratching the paint," Naruto told him, although deep down he didn't really care that the car had already lost 80% of its value by the time it left the dealership. Even so, having it scratched would be the last straw.

Lucy, meanwhile, went to the passenger seat without being able to utter a word. She was the CEO of one of the city's most important commercial companies, and even she couldn't afford a car of that quality.

—Hey, Lucy, didn't you say you didn't like supercars? Why did you get into his car? —asked the shipowner's son in utter despair.

"Because I hate you... Besides, he's not trying to impress me," Lucy replied curtly before closing the door.

(In the language of the upper class, that was practically a low blow.)"It doesn't even have comfortable seats," Naruto complained. It made no sense that that "piece of junk" cost more than ten million and didn't have an ergonomic seat.

—Naruto... Are you just a salesman? Why do you drive a hypercar? —asked Lucy, finding the situation completely absurd.

—I am the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. My family has a tradition: to see if we are worthy of running the financial empire, we must work in modest positions. "That's why I was here," Naruto explained, banging his head against the steering wheel. I just got fired, so now I need a new job... I'm an Uber driver.

Lucy was stunned for a moment, before bursting into laughter.

—You're pulling my leg, aren't you?

"I wish, but no... I got fired and now I'm an Uber driver," Naruto replied, unaware of the true reason for his disbelief.

"I think you're too caught up in your character," Lucy said, thinking that, in reality, he was just the rich son of one of the ten wealthiest families in the world, living like someone from the lower class out of sheer boredom.

—Which character?

Perhaps it was true. Perhaps they had to start from the bottom to be able to lead one of those ten fortunes. She, who did not belong to that circle, could not have known.

—Why do you have a hypercar like an Uber car? "That was... ridiculously frivolous, even for someone from those ten families," Lucy asked.

"I lost my BMW," Naruto said, shedding dramatic tears. I really loved that car.—Anyway... Hey, now that I'm an Uber driver... do you want to be my first passenger? —she said with a smile.

That smile provoked a genuine laugh from the busty blonde, who wiped a tear of laughter from her eyes.

—Of course, I'll give you that honor —she replied.

After saying this, he simply took out his phone and, upon opening the Uber app, requested a car. Since the nearest registered driver was, literally, the owner of the hypercar they were in, the message "your driver has arrived" appeared almost instantly.

With the order placed, he simply pressed the accelerator, causing a powerful roar from the engine, which alerted Lucy, who immediately fastened her seatbelt.

—What are you waiting for? Hurry up and drive! —the blonde scolded him, knowing that he would definitely regret this.

"No problem," Naruto said before flooring it.

Fortunately, the journey was short and they soon arrived at their destination. Lucy, her hair barely disheveled, descended before the astonished gaze of the crowd, who couldn't help but photograph the young couple.

"Thank you for bringing me here," Lucy said. Now that he was technically no longer her employee, but the son of one of the tycoons her father was trying to court, she was even more polite.

-It's no big deal. "If you want, I can come and pick you up, just remember to call first," Naruto replied with a mischievous smile.

—Are you flirting with me, Mr. Uzumaki? —Lucy asked, in a seductive tone.

-Of course. —She was beautiful, from a wealthy family, and she already knew he was rich, so she saw no reason not to flirt with her.

Laughing happily, she said goodbye to him, but not before adding him to her contacts. As soon as he left, Naruto started driving around like crazy in the car before flooring the accelerator to get away from the place.

As soon as he was away from Lucy, the system reappeared.

—Go to hell, system! —Naruto shouted. Now he not only had to justify the damn hotel, the ten million from the morning and the fucking hypercar, but five million more.

End of chapter.
