CHAPTER FIVE: OFF TO SEE JIN IGYU

Without wasting another moment, they set off for Jin Igyo's mountain.

Fifteen minutes later.

Leon, now fully awake, stepped out of the car. His eyes widened as he gazed at the figure ahead. "Whoa… Was he this buff the last time I was here?"

He paused, recalling a memory from when he was just four years old. "Ah… maybe he looked smaller because of that cloak he used to wear," he said with a grin, his excitement bubbling.

On top of a towering rock, Jin Igyo stood shirtless, his muscular body glistening with sweat. He turned toward them with a lighthearted voice. "Huh?! Oh, it's you guys—Sung, Selina, and my dear sweat boy, Leon!"

"Yeah, it's us, Dad,"

Jin-Sung replied with a chuckle.

"We've come because we want you to train Leon."

"Train him?"

Jin Igyo tilted his head. "Wait… has he awakened his abilities?"

Jin Heouk nodded.

"He did.

He was the one who defeated the demon lord, I think his power activated through sheer rage."

Jin Igyo's curiosity turned into a broad smile. "Interesting… But if I'm going to train him seriously, he'll need to stay here with me."

Selina frowned.

"That's what you said when we asked you to train his sister, Hakai."

Jin Igyo laughed.

"Her case was different. She was born special, remember?, When she opened her eyes, her aura shook the entire city. We named her Hakai for a reason.

Now She's just one step away from becoming a Realm Adventurer."

Sung interjected,

"But Leon still needs to attend school."

An argument erupted. Jin Igyo insisted Leon stay for full-time training.

Sung and Selina argued for a balanced life with school.

As the voices grew louder, Leon's frustration boiled over. Suddenly, a faint but yet a bit visible surge of aura pulsed from his body. His hair lifted as if caught in an unseen breeze, his irises glowed light blue, and his muscles tensed, subtly expanding.

Leon had entered the same awakened state he used to defeat the demon lord—but this time, he was in control.

A glowing blue screen materialized in front of him:

Status Window

Name: Jin Leon

Health: 100- 150 (Due To The Awakened State)

Durability: 20–48 (Due To The Awakened State)

Strength: 10–50 (Due The Awakened State)

Speed: 20–60 (Due To The Awakened State)

Stamina: 20–70 (Due To The Awakened State)

Mana: 20–45 (Due To The Awakened State)

Leon's voice was calm, yet full of intent. "Hey Grandpa… ready or not, here I come."

In a blink, he vanished, appearing mid-air behind Jin Igyo. "Mom, Dad—get to a safe spot. Things are about to get rough."

Without hesitation, Leon launched a kick aimed at Igyo's neck. But Igyo dodged effortlessly. The force of the missed kick unleashed a powerful gust, sending a wave of dust and debris toward Selina and Sung. Caught off guard, they were knocked back by the sheer wind pressure.

Leon followed up with a knee strike—but again, Igyo slipped out of range with impossible speed.

Leon's face darkened in awe. "H-How…? That's cheating!"

Igyo chuckled. "Cheating? There's no such thing as cheating on the battlefield, and we'll besides if we're on the topic and talking about cheating, you cheated first leon, by just attacking a defenseless old man out of no where"

He caught Leon's leg mid-air. "Besides, your eyes can't keep up with my movement. That's all."

Then, with one swift motion, Igyo slammed Leon into the ground. Leon screamed in pain as the echo carried through the mountains. Before he could recover, Igyo hurled him into a nearby peak. A small crater formed in the mountain due to Leon crashing into it at high speed, as Leon slumped, unconscious, his eyes turning white.

Selina fell to her knees, tears streaming. The wind swept her red hair wildly, her flushed cheeks soaked as she screamed, "Nooooo! Ahh—what did you do to my Leon?!"

Sung stood in stunned silence, his eyes wide, mouth open, unable to process what had just happened.

Then, from the distant mountain, a sudden blue flash lit up the battlefield.

Leon's eyes snapped open. A surge of awakened aura burst from his body. The blue screen that only Leon can see appeared once again:

System Window

New Skill Unlocked:

Force Impact

Without wasting time, Leon gathered compressed air around his palm;

He pointed it at Jin Igyo.

"Force Impact!"

The air burst forward with explosive pressure—but the recoil slammed Leon backward into the mountain. "Agh!" he cried out, blood dripping from his mouth.

The air blast sped toward Jin Igyo—only for him to raise a hand calmly.

"Disappear."

The force vanished instantly.

Jin Igyo's feet left the ground as he soared through the air, covering the distance between them in a blink of an eye. He smirked, then laughed heartily

"You know what, kid? You're pretty strong for your age."

Leon with blood running from his mouth, shouted,

"I'm not done yet! I'll beat you!"

He launched himself off the mountain with one final punch—but Igyo stopped it with just a finger. To Leon, it was as if his grandfather had teleported, In the next moment, Igyo appeared behind him and delivered a swift chop to his neck.

Leon's eyes rolled back as he fainted.

Jin Igyo caught his limp body and floated gently back down to where Sung and Selina waited.

He placed a hand over Leon and used his healing skill—Black Cocoon. Leon's wounds closed and his breathing steadied.

Silently, the three of them placed Leon into the car.

They drove home, the storm of battle behind them—but the journey ahead only just beginning.
