Chapter 50 - Unsaid Goodbyes

David sat down on his couch.

Still holding his phone.

Still in shock.

The silence in the room felt heavier than before.

David (thinking):

I need time…

He leaned back, staring at the ceiling.

Everything felt too sudden.

Too fast.

Too real.

Leaving Himmer…

Leaving everything behind…

His jaw tightened slightly.

David (thinking):

…leaving her?

Before he could think further—

His phone rang.

He looked at the screen.

Luisa.

He picked up immediately.

David:

"Hi, Luisa…"

Luisa:

"Hi… I'm on my way to Himmer Garden."

David sat up straight.

David:

"Oh… I'm coming too."

Luisa:

"Okay… I'll be waiting."

The call ended.

David looked at his phone for a few seconds.

His expression softened.

David (whispered):

"How do I leave you…?"

He stood up.

Walked toward his room.

And started getting ready.

On the Way

Luisa sat by the window in the bus.

The city looked beautiful.

As always.

The streets… the lights… the movement of people—

Everything felt alive.

She rested her head lightly against the window.

For a moment—

She felt a little better.

A little lighter.

Luisa (thinking):

Maybe… I just need moments like this…

The bus slowed down.

Then stopped.

She got down.

And started walking toward the garden.

Suddenly—

A sleek, expensive car slowed beside her.

She didn't need to look.

She already knew.

Noah.

Luisa took a slow breath—

And kept walking.

Ignoring him completely.

Noah lowered his window slightly.

Noah:

"Hi, Luisa…"

No response.

Noah:

"Luisa…"

Still nothing.

She kept walking.

As if he wasn't even there.

Noah stopped the car.

Got out.

And walked quickly toward her.

Noah:

"Luisa, why are you ignoring me?"

Luisa didn't stop.

Luisa:

"Because I'm not interested in talking to you."

Her voice was calm.

But firm.

Noah followed her.

Noah:

"But why?"

Luisa stopped.

Turned.

Luisa:

"Because you keep bothering me."

Before she could move again—

Noah stepped in front of her.

Blocking her path.

Luisa froze for a second.

Her eyes filled with irritation.

Luisa:

"What's wrong with you? Move."

Noah crossed his arms slightly.

Noah:

"I won't."

Luisa looked at him in disbelief.

Luisa:

"Are you serious right now?"

Noah smirked lightly.

Noah:

"At least you've got guts."

Luisa's patience snapped.

Luisa:

"Stop it and move."

Noah:

"No."

Without another word—

Luisa tried to walk past him.

But Noah suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Luisa turned sharply.

Her eyes now filled with clear anger.

Luisa:

"Leave me."

Noah:

"Not this time."

Luisa stared at him.

Luisa:

"Are you crazy?"

There was a moment of silence.

Then—

Noah slowly released her hand.

Raised both his hands slightly.

Noah:

"Fine… calm down."

Luisa rubbed her wrist slightly.

Still glaring at him.

Luisa:

"What is your problem?"

Noah stepped a little closer.

But this time—

His tone changed.

Less playful.

More serious.

Noah:

"The thing is…"

Luisa instinctively took a step back.

Still facing him.

Still alert.

Noah:

"…I really like you."

Luisa's expression froze.

Her eyes widened.

Noah:

"You make me feel… different."

A pause.

Noah:

"No one ever made me feel like this before."

Luisa didn't say anything.

Didn't react.

Just stood there—

Shocked.

His phone rang.

He glanced at it.

His girlfriend.

He ignored the call.

His attention still on Luisa.

But Luisa—

Said nothing.

Did nothing.

She simply turned—

And walked away.

Without a word.

Noah stood there.

Watching her go.

Something unreadable in his eyes.

His phone rang again.

This time—

He picked it up.

Noah:

"Hello…"

But his gaze—

Still followed Luisa's fading figure.

Luisa walked faster.

Her heart slightly unsettled.

Luisa (thinking):

He is such a weird person…

She shook her head slightly—

Trying to push it all away.

At Himmer Garden

The evening air was calm.

Cool.

Peaceful.

David was already there.

Standing near the pathway.

Wearing a white t-shirt, layered with a soft blue shirt… and denim jeans.

Simple.

But elegant.

He looked up—

And saw her.

Luisa.

Walking toward him.

In a simple dress.

Light.

Soft.

A small cardigan over it.

Nothing flashy.

Nothing loud.

Just…

Her.

Simple.

Quiet.

Beautiful.

For a moment—

David just stood there.

Looking at her.

But this time—

Something felt different.

His heart didn't react the same way.

Not because he didn't feel anything—

But because something heavier was sitting inside him.

The thought.

Of leaving.
