Chapter 7 - chapter 6 The Anchor of Flames

Hoseok had always been the quiet one, the Beta who watched, who stepped back, who let others take the lead. He thought his role was to be small, unnoticed, easy to push aside.

But the last few weeks had changed him.

Surrounded by three Alphas and three Omegas, all possessive, all insistent, all wanting him in ways he had never imagined, Hoseok had been forced into the center—not by choice, but by necessity. And slowly, he had discovered something powerful: his strength didn't come from controlling anyone. It didn't come from dominating, demanding, or competing.

It came from care. From empathy. From being fully present.

He could feel the subtle tensions ripple between Jungkook and RM as they vied for his attention. He could sense Suga's quiet possessiveness simmering beneath his calm exterior. He could feel Jimin's playful frustration when V hovered too close, and Jin's quiet patience trying to mediate.

Instead of retreating, Hoseok breathed. He smiled. He moved between them, placing a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, brushing RM's arm lightly, resting gently against Suga. He teased Jimin softly, leaned into V's dreamy insistence, and squeezed Jin's hand in silent reassurance.

He was no longer timid. He was the center, the anchor that held the fire together. And they trusted him to do it.

Jungkook's brow furrowed as he looked at Hoseok. "You… you're different," he admitted, voice low. "You don't just sit there—you… hold us all together."

RM nodded. "You've grown, Hoseok. You've realized that your strength isn't in dominating or taking control. It's in holding us, grounding us, caring for us."

Suga's usual sharpness softened into a rare, approving look. "I underestimated you," he said quietly. "You're stronger than I thought… in ways none of us can replicate."

Even the Omegas, playful and protective as ever, looked at him differently. Jimin nudged his side. "You're… kind of amazing, Beta. The way you keep us all in check without even trying."

V brushed a finger along his jawline. "You anchor us… without even knowing the power you hold."

Jin squeezed his hand gently. "Your empathy… your heart… that's your strength. You don't need to dominate. You just… are."

Hoseok exhaled, a warmth spreading through him. He realized they weren't just giving him attention—they were trusting him. Believing in him. Relying on him.

And he could hold them. He could hold them all—Alpha intensity, Omega possessiveness, chaos and all—and make it work.

For the first time, Hoseok didn't feel small. He didn't feel overlooked. He didn't feel timid.

He felt powerful.

Not the kind of power that dominates or commands, but the kind that holds, nurtures, and sustains. The kind of power that could bind six hearts together in a chaos that only love could contain.

And as all six of them leaned closer, surrounding him with warmth, affection, and possessive fire, Hoseok smiled—calm, confident, certain.

He was their Beta. Their center. Their anchor.

And he finally understood that being the heart of six wasn't a burden. It was a gift.
