Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Hogwarts

Just then, a smiling woman pushed open the compartment door: "Dear, would you like to buy some food from the train?"

She saw the lunchbox in front of Will and was a little surprised: "Oh, your family truly loves you."

The three people other than Will immediately reached into their pockets. Will thought for a moment and also bought some Chocolate Frogs; he planned to eat them at Hogwarts. Although he wasn't an old busybody like Dumbledore, sometimes he needed sweets to lift his spirits.

It proved that food made people happy, and the atmosphere in the compartment quickly became cheerful; Neville even stopped stammering so much.

Will quickly finished his lunch, waved his wand, and used a cleaning Spell.

You have used the Spell multiple times, you are more proficient in a certain Spell, Charms experience +1.

Yay, good! Another point of experience gained.

However, this put more pressure on Hermione... Childhood friendships are simple, and the few of them had already become familiar, now sitting together, munching on snacks and chatting. Will prepared to rest for a while and continue reading.

"Oh, I got it." Neville chewed on a Chocolate Frog, pulled out a card, "It's Hengist. Does this mean I should go to Hufflepuff—"

Neville's words were cut short as a Chocolate Frog leg vigorously kicked him in the mouth.

"Speaking of which, I forgot to let Trevor out for some air again." It was only then that Neville remembered his pet toad. He reached into his pocket, but soon, his face became worse than crying.

"It's gone again! I lost it again! It always wants to leave me."

Hermione seemed unable to bear seeing Neville like this: "I'll go with you to look for it. It should be on the train."

"Thank you, Hermione." Neville was so moved he was almost in tears.

"Actually, Accio should be able to retrieve Trevor," Will reminded him.

Some people say Accio has a living creature summoning restriction; but in reality, Accio can summon living creatures. In the original novel, Goblet of Fire, Harry used Trevor as a prop during his practice for the first task; and in the seventh book, there was even a scene where a Wizard used Accio to catch fish.

"So, Will, you've already learned Accio?" Under Neville's hopeful gaze, Will nodded.

"I can help you summon Trevor, but it might not be successful, and you need to describe Trevor's appearance to me in detail first."

"No problem, Trevor is grayish-black, with bumps all over his back..." Neville's description was entirely that of an ordinary toad, and Will could only try his best.

"Trevor Accio!" He waved his wand and waited for a while, but there was no effect. The atmosphere in the carriage was a bit awkward. Will waved his wand again, recalling the image of Trevor he had seen in movies.

In reality, he no longer remembered those images clearly, after all, they were things he had seen in his "previous life."

But this time the Spell did have an effect. A gray toad flew from the aisle, making the few young Wizards stare in astonishment, thinking they had seen a magical creature.

"Splat!" With a sound, the people in the compartment understood that something had hit the compartment door.

"Trevor!" Neville opened the door, and poor Trevor had been knocked unconscious, lying belly-up in the carriage aisle. Neville quickly picked Trevor up; Will keenly noticed that when Neville brought Trevor in, Sylvia and Hermione both leaned back in unison.

"Thank you, Will, thank you for helping me find Trevor." Neville stuffed the unconscious Trevor into his pocket and kept thanking Will.

"You can learn Accio well when you get to Hogwarts. It will be a great help for you to find Trevor," Will instructed Neville.

"I will definitely learn Accio!"

After finding Trevor, the few of them chatted for a while, and Will continued reading his book.

Just kidding, he had to grind for experience.

You have acquired new Curses knowledge, Curses experience +1.

... The continuous mountains and grasslands outside the window slowly moved backward, and the sun began to set as time passed. Will was immersed in the joy of knowledge and experience when a fair hand suddenly appeared in front of him and waved.

Will looked up, a little puzzled.

"Could this prospective Ravenclaw gentleman please step out for a moment? The ladies are changing robes." Sylvia stared into Will's eyes.

Only then did Will realize that it was already dark, and they must be arriving at Hogwarts soon. So he and Neville retreated into the aisle.

About ten minutes later, the two were allowed back in. Sylvia and Hermione had already put on their Wizard robes, transforming from British girls into young Wizards; next, Will and Neville changed clothes.

Will changed out of his casual clothes into a black satin outer garment before putting on his Wizard robe; although some Wizards would wear robes without trousers, Will couldn't stand it.

Two minutes later, Will opened the compartment door and let in a slightly surprised Sylvia and Hermione.

Soon, the driver's voice echoed through the train.

"The train will arrive at Hogwarts in five minutes. Please leave your luggage on the train; we will deliver it to the school for you."

The train slowed down and finally stopped; as the few of them stood up, Will stopped them.

"Let them squeeze off first, we'll go last. Don't worry, are you afraid the train will take us back?"

So the four of them watched as the passengers pushed and shoved, crowding towards the train doors, descending onto a dark, small platform. Will only felt that Hogwarts was, in some places, a bit too careless.

The temperature in the Scottish Highlands is always low; even though it was September, the temperature here was less than ten degrees Celsius. Will could even see his own breath, thankfully he was dressed warmly enough.

"First years! First years over here! Harry, over here, how are you?" Hagrid, carrying a lamp and with a big beard, shouted, then led the students down a dark path.

"Come on, follow me, any more first years? Watch your step, alright! First years, follow me!" The young Wizards followed Hagrid, slipping and sliding, stumbling along a steep, narrow path downhill.

The path was pitch black on both sides, and Will could sense that Sylvia and Hermione were subtly moving closer to him; Neville, however, was not, he was almost treading on Will's heels, half a body length behind, even almost stepping on Will's shoes several times.

In the dark night, no young Wizard spoke; until they rounded a bend.

"Wow...!" At the end of the narrow path, a black lake suddenly opened up. On the high slope across the lake stood a majestic Castle, with numerous spires and windows twinkling under the starry sky.

Hogwarts, they had arrived.
