I did not know what to do, say, or even think when it came to Ray. After all, despite all the good he did before, his sins were still too terrible. It became a hard pill for me to swallow.
Thus, rather than trying to make peace with him, I'd rather try to erase Ray from my mind as I survived on myself and my two girls, and one more child in my belly.
I took a deep breath to calm myself. I caressed my belly as I had just passed the first trimester without a hitch. Fortunately, I left California when I had just gotten pregnant, or else it'd be too hard to move around.
