"So, what do you want?" I asked straightforwardly, since I had no time to bicker with this woman while my mind and heart were in chaos right now.
"… You need to come to the Gatlin Mansion as soon as possible, Ray," Anok said.
"I am not in the mood," I denied immediately. "I might have to take a month… or a year off work, just so I can get her forgiveness."
"You really are stubborn, huh? If I were you, I wouldn't even dare think about forgiveness. You are scum beyond saving, Ray Gatlin."
My body trembled when she said that. But as much as I hated it, I had to admit that Anok was right. To think that Claudia would forgive me was audacious and shameless.
But was it wrong for me to try? I'd spend my whole life trying to get her back if I had to.
