The officer finally left me alone in the interrogation room as I made a call to my mother. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my phone, or else I would've deleted all the recordings between Ray and me that I saved.
My mom—Maya Reed—had always been a great mother to me, because she loved me wholeheartedly and taught me many things. She made sure that I knew how to conduct myself properly in front of powerful men—seducing them and making sure they'd do what I asked them to do.
On top of that, she also made sure that I knew which men were worth my body. And Ray Gatlin was the one who deserved it the most.
Unlike Claudia, who had to study like a loser, all I had to do was spread my legs and get what I wanted. Me going to prison was just a small setback, because Ray was too scared to fall in love deeply with me.
The phone rang for a few seconds before my mother picked it up.
