"So, Lara saved both of us, dear. Without her, it'd be difficult to send Aunt Clarissa and Daddy to jail."
I wanted Aurora to really understand the situation. I knew she was a sensible child, but she was still a child in the end and might be resistant to having someone that she didn't initially like as her friend.
On top of that, Aurora definitely didn't want my attention to be divided, just like any only child would think.
"And don't worry about the promise, little girl. Uncle Ray will bring you, Mommy, and Lara to Disneyland together," Ray suddenly raised his voice, and Aurora stopped pondering.
She nodded excitedly. "I want to go, Uncle, Mommy!"
"Then, are you okay if we bring Lara with us too?"
"Mm! As long as Lara doesn't hurt Mommy, then I'm okay!" Aurora replied.
"Good. You're a smart girl," Ray said. "And a smart girl knows how to conduct herself, right?"
"Nn! I want to be as smart as Uncle too!"
