Ray POV
"Good morning, Little Miss," I watched as Detective Penn walked towards Aurora's bed and sat on the seat where Claudia sat before. "My name is Detective Penn. I'm here to ask you about a few things. But you don't have to worry, alright? Just be honest and then I'll leave."
Aurora nodded. Her eyes showed confidence despite her age, which made me sure that she knew what she was doing.
"Alright then, can you tell me what you were doing that day before you got hurt?"
"Um…" Aurora looked up for a moment and then recalled everything. "Mommy and I wanted to celebrate my sixth birthday while waiting for Daddy. But Daddy came home earlier with Aunt Clarissa and Lara. Then… uhm… Aunt Clarissa said many hurtful things to Mommy. She even said to Mommy that Lara is my half-sister."
"Half… sister?" Detective Penn frowned for a few seconds, which I guessed meant that he had connected the dots about Clarissa and Miles' affair.
