I stopped in the middle before continuing, "If she walks into a fully packed pavilion looking flustered, the vultures will pick her apart before she can even sit down." I instructed, my voice dropping into a low, focused register. 

Thomas's charcoal-gray eyes flashed with a deep, silent understanding. He placed a white-gloved hand over his heart and bowed deeply. "This servant will see to it immediately, my lady. I shall escort her through the isolated gallery to ensure no one could catch her presence until you wanted."

"Thank you. And Thomas...make sure Mary stays within your sight. I would not want to disturb both of your quality time." I paused, my lips curving into a sharp, knowing smirk as I lazily traced the edge of my bandaged right wrist. 

Thomas's ears immediately turned a spectacular, burning shade of crimson, but he maintained his absolute, disciplined composure as he gave a curt nod and vanished down the stone path.
