In time, he even awakened a bloodline limit connected to the stone itself, greatly accelerating the progress of his research.
Later, he established his family in that very region. His descendants inherited both his bloodline limit and the secret of the Gelel vein, along with his research and the scientific method he had embraced. This enabled them to advance rapidly, achieving breakthroughs across numerous fields.
Eventually, they founded their own kingdom, adopting many of the same governing principles practiced by the Blue Dragon Kingdom.
However, unlike the Blue Dragon Kingdom, which maintained a policy of peaceful coexistence and rejected territorial expansion, the Kingdom of Gelel gradually developed far greater ambitions. As its strength increased and its technological progress advanced far beyond that of its age, it began looking at the surrounding lands with increasingly ambitious eyes. Above all, it now possessed the means to impose its authority through the advanced technologies and profound understanding of the Gelel Stone that it alone controlled.
Thus, it began annexing neighboring kingdoms and territories one after another, taking advantage of its overwhelming scientific and military superiority. With every new conquest, its resources multiplied and its borders expanded, until the small kingdom that had originally formed around the discovery of the Gelel Stone transformed into a vast empire stretching across immense lands and ruling over numerous peoples.
Throughout all of this, Dan remained quietly attentive, observing every stage of its growth. He watched with great curiosity as this immense power had developed from such a tiny seed, wondering how such a mighty and technologically superior kingdom might one day fall. More than anything, he wished to see how events would unfold if they were left entirely to follow their own natural course.
Day after day, he observed the Gelel Empire continue to expand, watched its research deepen, and saw its dependence upon the bloodline limit connected to the Gelel Stone grow ever stronger. He also noticed that the experimental scientific philosophy their founder had carried back from the Blue Dragon Kingdom's academies had become the very foundation of the empire's institutions. Schools, workshops, and laboratories all operated according to the same principles:
