Dan descended onto the surface of the planet where the Ōtsutsuki had planted the Chakra Tree only a short time earlier, quietly observing what had become of it. The planet had changed completely from the last time he had seen it. It was no longer the living world filled with diverse wildlife, dense forests, and countless ecosystems. It had become a completely dead and barren planet in every sense of the word. The land was desolate, its soil dry and cracked without the slightest trace of the vitality that had once defined it. Even the air itself seemed empty of life. There were no birds in the sky, no movement across the ground, and not a single sound suggesting that even one living creature remained anywhere. All of this had happened within the short period since the Ōtsutsuki had planted his demonic tree.
He murmured quietly as he looked toward the enormous Chakra Tree standing in the center of that complete devastation.
"You truly are the cancer of this universe."
His voice was calm and flat, yet every word carried the genuine weight of disgust and hatred. Cancer in every sense of the word beings that wandered from one planet to another, draining all life before leaving behind nothing but dead worlds, only to continue searching for their next victim without the slightest concern for anything they destroyed.
He let out a quiet sigh as he gave one final look to the planet from which he had hoped to collect animal specimens for his new inner world. Then Dan flew upward, leaving the atmosphere behind until he stood alone within the vacuum of space, his thoughts turning over in silence.
"I truly hate you filthy aliens."
It was not a fleeting emotional outburst, but a deeply rooted conviction built upon his understanding of the true nature of this extraterrestrial civilization . a race that regarded every living thing in the universe as nothing more than food to be consumed and discarded.
He slowly extended both hands before him in space. At that same instant, two enormous hands formed from dense blue energy, each far larger than the planet itself. They appeared on opposite sides of the world, completely enclosing it before beginning to squeeze inward.
Under that overwhelming and ever-increasing pressure, the planet began to fracture from within before its surface split apart as well. Cracks spread rapidly throughout its enormous rocky mass, branching outward in every direction. The process continued only for a brief moment before the entire planet became like a blazing furnace. Brilliant white and crimson light burst outward, flooding the surrounding space in every direction and revealing the unimaginable amount of power being used in this cosmic act.
Then, in a single instant, the planet crumbled completely into dust.
The colossal blue hands disappeared without leaving behind anything except an immense crimson cloud of debris that quickly expanded throughout the surrounding void, filling the region with scattered matter that only moments earlier had been a solid world.
Dan quietly watched the cloud continue spreading through space before murmuring to himself,
"That should be enough."
Then he vanished from the system, never intending to return to it again.
In truth, the reason he had destroyed the planet in such a manner was not simply an emotional reaction to what the Ōtsutsuki had done, although his hatred for them was certainly genuine.
The first and by far the most important reason was to erase every possible trace of the Ōtsutsuki he had killed there. Any remains could potentially be used to discover who had killed him, or at the very least reveal the nature of the power responsible for his death. By destroying the entire planet and reducing it to scattered cosmic dust, nothing remained that could be investigated or analyzed.
The second reason was the complete destruction of the Chakra Tree the alien had planted before his death. By its very nature, the tree was inseparably connected to the Ōtsutsuki themselves. Once the planet had been obliterated, the tree had been vaporized along with it.
That was also precisely why he had immediately rejected the brief thought of taking the Chakra Tree back to his laboratory for study. He had no intention of introducing anything connected to the Ōtsutsuki into either his inner world or his family's headquarters. There was always the possibility that such an object could serve as a means for them to locate him or mark his existence in some unknown way before he was prepared to confront that dangerous extraterrestrial civilization.
And that very same principle was also the fundamental reason he had forbidden every member of his family from establishing any connection with the Nine Tailed Beasts.
He understood perfectly well that those creatures were nothing more than derivatives mere offshoots of the Chakra Tree itself, which had ultimately originated from the Ōtsutsuki. By their very nature, they remained connected to that alien civilization, and Dan refused to allow any contact with them before the time he himself had determined in his plans.
