Because of the improved version of the Devouring Seal technique, which had been carefully optimized so every member of the Walt Family could practice it safely and efficiently, the speed at which each individual grew stronger had increased tremendously. What once required years now only took months, and what once needed decades could now be achieved within only a few years.
Especially since this technique was fundamentally very different from the methods used by the Three Sacred Lands of this world, which mainly allowed human practitioners to temporarily enter Sage Mode and gain a boost in several aspects of their power.
Dan's Devouring Seal technique, however, was completely different in nature. It allowed family members to consume an appropriate and stable amount of Natural Energy every single day on a permanent basis. That Natural Energy was then used for an extremely important purpose: strengthening the Vitality Seals and continuously increasing their efficiency and effectiveness. As a result, their physical strength increased, their natural talents improved, and even their innate potential gradually evolved.
But more importantly than all of that, the technique greatly enhanced the life-extension effects of the seals themselves.
Normally, the First Seal, the one specialized for the bones, extended a person's lifespan to around one hundred and eighty years. But after combining it with the Devouring Seal technique, that limit rose to nearly two hundred and sixty years.
The same applied to the other seals. The Second Seal, which focused on the muscles and originally allowed a lifespan of around three hundred and fifty years, had now improved to nearly six hundred and fifty years.
And the Third Seal, the final one accessible to most members of the family and the one specializing in the internal organs, had originally increased lifespan to around seven hundred years. Now, after the enhancement, that number had expanded all the way to one thousand three hundred years.
That solved one of the biggest problems that had occupied Dan's thoughts for a very long time, at least temporarily and for the foreseeable future.
By now, all of his older children had successfully applied the Third Vitality Seal thanks to their focused training and the strong talent they inherited from him. Even his wives had received direct assistance from him personally to safely apply the Third Seal.
But before the improvements, the Third Seal's maximum lifespan had only been around seven hundred years. A good number by ordinary standards, but nowhere near enough for Dan. Even if it sounded long, time still passed quickly.
And what came after that? Death . No That was unacceptable.
Because of that, he desperately needed another effective method to extend their lives far further. The first option would have been for them to follow his own path and apply the Fourth Seal, the one focused on the brain and nervous system.
But that option was unrealistic. The Fourth Seal was unbelievably difficult. It required cellular-level Chakra control, deep mastery of advanced Fūinjutsu, immense patience, and absolute concentration. Not every member of his family possessed such extraordinary abilities.
Only a very small number of people would ever be capable of walking that dangerous path.
At the moment, the only person in the family who truly possessed the talent necessary for it and had already begun applying the Fourth Seal was his gifted daughter, Hoshi.
Even with her exceptional intelligence and enormous talent, Dan still had to personally intervene from time to time and help correct the ongoing process inside her body because even the smallest mistake could cause permanent damage to the brain itself. Direct supervision was absolutely necessary.
The reason Hoshi chose to pursue such a dangerous and difficult technique was because the Fourth Seal specialized in the brain and nervous system, which would greatly benefit her advanced scientific research. After careful thought, Dan eventually agreed to her request, though only under his constant supervision.
Even so, he knew very well that this was likely her limit.
In the future, she would probably never be able to continue further down the same path as him and apply the Fifth Seal, the cellular-level seal he was currently developing within his own body, much less the future Sixth Vitality Seal that still only existed as a theoretical design.
The Fifth Genetic Seal and the Sixth DNA Seal were intended to achieve true longevity, but those final levels required absurdly extreme conditions and highly complicated requirements that no one besides Dan himself could realistically fulfill.
For now, however, the Devouring Seal technique had already solved a major part of the problem, at least temporarily. It allowed his family to increase their strength much more effectively while also extending their lifespans far beyond what the first three Vitality Seals could originally achieve alone.
And in the future, Dan planned to research the field of longevity even more seriously so he could open even greater possibilities for his family and allow them to continue evolving without limits.
